I would like to differ here. Yamaraj is also the God of Dharma and hence a positive character. Mrityu Devi is a negative character.

While Yamaraj represents honesty, justice and strength of character, Mrityu represents darkness, ignorance, fear and illusion

They are at opposite ends. Murugan's Vel is required to destroy darkness and false illusion.

This was very interesting..had never known abt Mrityu ki Devi..!!

Why is Yam raj on the wrong side ?? He is called Dharamraj...so should'nt he be on the side of Dharm..?? 😕

Loved the whole fight scene btwn Kartikeya n Devi... K doesn't give in to fear but wins over it..👍🏼
Great execution...

Also now that Mrityu Devi is killed..so what happens now.. to all the death in the war..can/will she be resurrected...??😕

Nice post...😊

I have questions and questions...
The concept of Mrityu Devi was nice. I actually liked the character, except she was against Mahadev Himself, And Adishakti, from whom she was created!!!
My questions:
If she is Death, then shouldn't she be Nishpaksh? Yeah, I know she said, "Mrintyu Devi Pakshpath Nahi Karti," and all, but still she WAS doing Pakshpath, by causing the death of Kartikeya's army. What abt her own army, no one was dying there, except for those few soldiers who died before she appeared.
Second MOST IMPORTANT: I know everyone has been talking abt sages conquering death and all, but that is a different issue. They are not submitting themselves to Death. Whereas what they showed here completely baffles me! They showed the death of Death itself! How in all the universes is that possible? Varaaliji, Mnxji, and all other members, please can you explain?
Third: If death is destroyed, 😕😕, will no one else be killed?

When a person's life span on Earth is over, Yamaraj sends his messengers to bring that person's soul to him.

But the actual death- the cessation of breath- is caused by Mrityu Devi.

The killing of Mrityu devi, as shown today,is purely metaphorical and deeply significant

The killing of Mrityu Devi by Kartikeya represents the victory of the positive forces against the dark negative forces. If the soul, mind and body are filled with positive energies, it is possible to delay / prevent death. There have been so many sages, even today, who have through their power of tapas conquered death. There have been so many great people who have chosen their own manner to leave their physical body.

Well said varaali, 👏
Jalandhar represents now a dark -ve force. So any +vity in his side gets dominated by -ve force.
Many sages are living for a very long period using Yoga, by going in a state of bliss, for a very long time, where there is no fear of death.

The "death" of Death doesn't mean killing of Mrityu Devi in a physical sense. It means, at a mental / higher level, Kartikeya has overcome the bondage of Death. He has risen above Death. And here, Death doesn't simply mean the stopping of breath. "Mrityu" means the darkness, the despair, the depression caused to the soul in the final moments of one's life. - such a despair that the soul is willing to shed the physical body.

But, Kartikeya has risen above her. By killing Mrityu, he has subduded all the dark forces which engulf one's soul in the final moments.

However, it doesn't mean that Mrityu Devi is dead for everyone. She is still very much operative for others - unless one displays the power shown by Kartikeya today.

Yamaraj is J's Senapati here, so his success rate is quite low. Untill the life span is over, one can not be killed, so while trying to kill Kartikeya, Mrityu ki Devi fails. He is son of Shivj-Parvati who takes Mahakal- Mahakali form when required. His weapon is Spear given by Parvati. So when she told him his mother will be coming to her soon, using the Shakti given by his mother he finished Mrityu ki Devi, telling her, that's beyond your capacity.
Next as per the spoiler, Yamaraj will be killed. Brhmaji has said in last epi., Yamaraj has to pay for his mistake i.e. taking J's side.
Both Yamaraj & Mrityu ki Devi will be resurrected by one of the Tridevas.

Mirityu Devi came out of nowhere so Yamraj also has a form Shakti that he needs just like all the Gods. Did not know. Thanks for the comments. 😊
