Don't try to find God. That's difficult for us.

Let God find you. It's easier for Him. 😊

Good idea.

OK I have another BIG doubt. SO we know that Swargalok and Patallok are not on earth. So naturally, even all the fighting should take place outside earth, no?
BUt (not only in the show) whenever the gods and demons fight, it is always on earth. Because, neither in Swargalok, nor in Patallok, there are clouds or sun or moon. Even in Puranas, the fight is always on earth. WHy so?

Hello... My name's rinal and i'm new to this forum... Just registered myself some days back... And i have a mighty big ball of doubts rolling in my head..

forgive me for i'm extremely confused & may have trouble explaining my doubt clearly... But here it is anyway...

So sati's mother prasuti had narrated the story of jallandhar-vrinda-shaligram during the tulsi vivah sequence... I surmise that for someone who knows something even minutely about jallandhar, it is imperative that the person must also be aware of jallandhar's identity... That of being a 'shivansh'... And prasuti seemed oblivious to it... Infact i've noticed that despite being part of the Trinity, sati & parvati's families knew nothing about shiva... Even in parvati's era, her mother was not at all happy imitally about her attraction towards shiva.. Even parvati's nani makes a point that marriage should always be solemnized between people belonging to the same 'kul'/cultural bg... She also sent an aide of hers to kailash alongwith the people who went for the Tilak ceremony to find out everything about shiva & the other inhabitants of kailash... I mean, how could they be so ignorant? How could they not know anything about shiva?😕

Ok Prasuti narrating the story was a blooper, so leave that.
Daksha was already against SHiva... as he had beheaded one of his father Brahma's heads. And another reason was that SHiva as a son-in-law didn't pay him proper respects. Though the real reason was that if Shiva had bowed down to Daksha, Daksha wouold have never been freed from the birth-and-death cycle, because it is a great offence to make a god pray to you.
TheParvati's mom and Nani not liking SHiva is made up. In the real story both Menavati and hImavan are great Shivabhaktas and regularly have darshan of Lord SHiva.
Hope this clears your doubt. Could you answer mine?

i've not come with a doubt here this time...just want to share something with everyone here...
we have a small shiva lingam in the mandir at home...neither me nor my mother knew anything regarding how it made its way there...mummy was just curious to know how the family got the shiva lingam considering not many people have it in their homes...so my granny {daadi} told my mother that before moving to the building we currently reside in, they used to live in a "baithak chawl" close-by... the backyard of the chawl had a narrow patch which would serve as a place to sit & the surrounding area was covered with huge stones & boulders... one day, as my granny was taking a stroll in the backyard, her sight fell on a seemingly different kinda stone there ...when she went closer to get a proper glimpse of it, she realised that it was no ordinary stone...it was a shiva lingam... she picked it up, cleansed it & just placed it in the mandir...i mean i'm not sure if anybody back then took the event seriously...and unfortunately since daadi's no more with us today, i couldn't ask her to tell me everything about it in detail...so i'm not sure if there was any brouhaha over it 30-40 years back when she had found it...when they moved in the building where we stay now some 30 years back, they had brought along with them everything...all their belongings...including the mandir, the idols & the shiva lingam... all these years, nobody did anything "special" for it... as in, the way everybody normally cleans the mandir & the idols they keep there & decorate it with flowers, light a few incense sticks & a diya...it's just like that even in our house... so basically all of us had a very normal approach towards the shiva lingam in our mandir , till recently... we've been following Devon Ke Dev Mahadev since shiva's marriage to parvati... so just about a week or 2 back, my mother's started bathing the shiva lingam with water everyday...and we try and offer bel patras to the shiva lingam regularly...
i wonder if the sudden spotting of the shiva lingam by daadi means anything...i'm not sure...perhaps it does...or it maybe a co-incidence...but whatever it is, i found the story amazing...so decided to share it with y'all...i'd appreciate if someone could enlighten me on this...😊

Since on Friday, they showed the return of Nahusha, it brought up another question. Yeah, I know this serial makes things up, but just to recap...

Did the Tridevs have any involvement in the selection of Nahusha? As per the Mahabharata account (by Shalya to the Pandavas), who was it who selected him to be Devaraj? From what I recall, Indra abdicated the throne after the treacherous killing of Vritra and disappeared, even w/o Sachi. The devas were at a loss but needed a ruler, and ultimately approached Nahusha. Initially, Nahusha was reluctant, but accepted the throne. Like many others both b4 and after him, he started well, but after a while, his stature went to his head. The turning point started after he started stalking Sachi.

Here, they showed Atri/Kashyap propose his name, and he conveniently happened to be there. Also, in the original, wasn't he already a king of Pratishthana? Had he already died, or did he become devraj in his human form? Also, while it's claimed that Indra is a title for devraj, Indra, as in Aditi-nandan, regained the throne after Nahusha's fall. Also, was Nahusha responsible for the rains when Indra was absent?

No the Tridevas did not even poke their nose into matters. The devas themselves went and asked Nahush to be Devraj. And he was a king. But in all the stories of Nahush becoming Devraj, no Ashoksundari. All stories where Ashoksundari is there, no Devraj. This is confusing.
@ bold: I didn't get your point. And I think Nahush was responsible for rains. After all, one of the functions of Indra is rain-making😆 (Scientists would dissaprove)
And if I am correct, Indra and Devaraj mean the same thing: Indra is also a title. Our present Indra's real name is Purandara. This point is according to Bhagavatam, where Suka lists the different Indras of Manvantaras.

look, in earlier times WARS were never conducted in the then residential areas...d reason y u always find d term YUDH BHUMI doin rounds in historical shows,...n since, PATALLOk, n SWARGLOK were abodes of the demons and gods respectively, naturally, fights never were conducted there...n then there was just one place...EARTH, so, d fights take place on EARTH...hope this clears ur doubt or u hv any more questions to raise, i'll b happy to help u!!!
