||HAR HAR MAHADEV||

We Are Celebrating The Shiva Sati Day

So Here We are going to know something about Lord Shiva & His Consort Goddess Sati

About Shiva( Mahadev)

Shiva is the god of the yogis, self-controlled and celibate, while at the same time a lover of his spouse (shakti). Lord Shiva is the destroyer of the world, following Bramha the creator and Vishnu the preserver, after which Brahma again creates the world and so on. Shiva is responsible for change both in the form of death and destruction and in the positive sense of destroying the ego, the false identification with the form. This also includes the shedding of old habits and attachments.

All that has a beginning by necessity must have an end. In destruction, truly nothing is destroyed but the illusion of individuality. Thus the power of destruction associated with Lord Shiva has great purifying power, both on a more personal level when problems make us see reality more clearly, as on a more universal level. Destruction opens the path for a new creation of the universe, a new opportunity for the beauty and drama of universal illusion to unfold. As Satyam, Shivam, Sundaram or Truth, Goodness and Beauty, Shiva represents the most essential goodness.

While of course many hindu deities are associated with different paths of yoga and meditation, in Shiva the art of meditation takes its most absolute form. In meditation, not only mind is stopped, everything is dropped. In deep meditation or samadhi, even the object of the meditation (like a mantra) is transformed into its formless essence, which is the essence of everything and everyone. Thus Shiva stands for letting go of everything in the world of forms. The path of Lord Shiva is the path of the ascetic yogi.

About Sati(Incarnation of Goddess Durga)

The legend of the goddess Sati, first wife of Shiva is one which has enthralled and inspired Indian women through the ages. She was the youngest daughter of the famous Prajapati or patriarch known as Daksha. His kingdom was in Kankhal, near modern Haridwar. From the time she was born her mind was completely dedicated to Lord Shiva. However her father was totally against such a bridegroom for his beloved daughter. Shiva, clad in tiger skin with snakes round his neck and smeared with ashes from the cremation ground was hardly a fitting son-in-law for him and Daksha swore that he would never let his beautiful daughter wed such a man. However, Sati was adamant and refused all other offers of marriage and devoted her time in doing tapas to Shiva. At last her austerities bore fruit and Shiva, who was a born recluse decided to accept her in marriage. At the end of her year-long penance, Shiva approached her and blessed her. He knew what was in her mind and held out his hand and asked her to accompany him. Shiva's ways were always unconventional! She begged him to first ask her father's permission. Shiva knew that Daksha who was the impeccable priest of orthodoxy would never agree to a union between them; however since she was insistent he caught hold of her hand and took her to her father's court.

Mohit was also a part of the TV series Bandini . In December 2010, a show Ganga Kii Dheej aired on Sahara One, which dealt with the ordeals of young unmarried girls in a village called Kaliganj based in rural West Bengal. Shiv-Sati, The First Love Story of this Universe

Part One:When They Met

"She realizes, she feels who is her Lord of her heart, of her soul, of her life. She completely surrenders herself in his dedication, his love. But he..."

Love stories. We hear so many love stories about so many couples. Some of them are very famous i.e. Laila-Majnu, Shirin-Farhad, Heer-Ranjha, Romeo-Juliete etc. If I start to count them this list will be extended but not be ended. But they all are mere human though they suffer lots of pain, plight etc. But do we know from them who are the first ever couple in this universe??Who suffer so much pain and plight in their love.Who are they??

They are none other than our most familiar God and Goddess, the most Devine, Passionate, romantic and dedicated to each other God and Goddess Shiv and Sati. Today I will tell you about their story. Is this love story or not you will tell me, after reading this. So without waste any time I am starting...

Long time ago, in Satya Yuga there was a very rich and prosperous kingdom known as Kankhal Skhetra. Prajapati Daksh ruled this kingdom .He was very much proud and egoistic as he was son of the creator,Brahma and a very staunch devotee of Lord Vishnu but dead against of God Shiv. He considered himself the most powerful person on this earth as he established the whole civilized life and taught this world how to create assets and wealth. He also set up the whole "chaturashrama", "Varnashrama" and others traditions along with Swayambhu Manu. So Swayambhu Manu married off her daughter Prasuti to him. Daksh and Prasuti had so many sons and daughters but their all the sons left the palace after taking 'Sanyas' in early age. So he married off all his daugters and asked his all son-in-laws to be his "Griha-Jamata". Some of them accepted this offer, some of them rejected but still obeyed his each and every order word by word.

In Brahma-Loka after finishing his creation Lord Brahma was in deep thought. Long kalpas ago once he asked Devadidev Mahadev Shiv to separate his Shakti from him(that time Shiv and Shakti was together in "Ardhanarishwar" roop) as without Shakti he couldnot be able to create anything. But now the creation is complete. But he couldnot find a way out to reunite Mahadev to his Shakti. After abandon his beloved consort Mahadev became a hermit and cut himself off from this materialistic world and stayed in cremation ground with Ganas and Pretas. He wore tiger skin, snakes' garland and "rudraksh" and smeared ashes all over his body.He took "Bhaaang with juice of dhutura" and meditated all the time .Suddenly he heard a devine voice "Brahma dev, aap chintit na ho. Shighra he main swayam aap ki Pautri ebam aap ke putra Prajapati Daksh ki putri'Sati' ki roop mein janm loongi aur aapne Shiv se Milan sampan karungi. Aap aapne putra ko meri aaradhana ebam puja karne ka adesh pradan karein."Brhama did pranam to Goddess Adi-Shakti and summoned his son Prajapati Daksh and instructed him to do worship of Goddess Adi-Shakti as told by her. Daksh agreed to do so and soon his wife became pregnant and gave birth a beautiful, rediant daughter. As per suggestion of Goddess Adi-Shakti the baby girl was named 'Sati'. She was the most favourite and lovable daughter of Prajapati Daksh so she was also recognized as"Dakshayani" or"Dakshini" and her skin complexion was as fair as raw gold so she was also called as "Gauri".

The days, months and years passed away, Sati reached to her womanhood but was unaware of her true identity(She was Adi-Shakti and born to achieve her lord Shiv) and motive of her life. By fearing of Prajapati Daksh's rage and wrath no one ever pronounced Shiv's name in front of her. So she didn't come to know anything about Shiv.

That was a beautiful day.Prajapati Daksh decided to establish Lord Vishnu's "Padmanabha " idol in his temple. But the Idol didn't cross the doorstep of that temple and stopped at the doorstep . It seemed that it was glued by something so the labours tried very hard to dragg it in the temple but all their effort was failed. Rishi Kashyap from Sapta-Rishis told him that there was a defect in the construction of that idol.According to shashtras when Lord Vishnu is in his 'Mahanidra' then Lord Brahma emerges from his naval cavity stays on a lotus and worships him. And in his 'Mahanidra' Lord Vishnu worships Lord Shiv in his "Linga" roop. But in that construction the Shiv Linga was missing. Listening this Daksh became so furious towards Rishi Kashyap and told him that he didn't consider Shiv even a human. So he couldn't give him the place of God with his "Aaradhya". Rishi Kashyap became so sad and left the place.

In the meantime Sati with her other sisters(they all are older than her, she is the youngest daughter of Daksh) went to fetch water from Saraswati river for the worship of Lord Vishnu. Suddenly thousands miles away from there something was happened very strange. An armlet of "rudraksh" was torn from a hermit's arm and a "rudraksh" of that armlet fell into the river and it flew away a long distance and reached to its destination. When Sati dipped her "kalash" to fill it with water she found that very "rudraksh". She took it in her palm and stared at it for a long time. She didn't come out from her trance if she didn't hear her eldest siter Khyati's voice"Sati'''"Sati turned her neck like a goose and looked at her sisters and said, "Didi, dekhiye mujhe kya mila" and she showed them the rudraksh. Seeing that Khyati became furious at her and said,"Sati, fenk de isse"

Sati:nahi didi. Jo cheese Sati ko ekbar priya ho jati hai uska parityag woh kabhi nahi karti

Aditi: Kadachit tumhe Pitaji ne bataya nahi '.yeh Rudraksh humare birodhi panth ke log paridhan karte hai.Weh unke shatru hai.

Sati:Yadi aisa hota toh Pitaji mujhe avashya batate.

Khyati:rehne do Aditi, Pitaji ke lad-pyar ne isse atyant abodh aur hathi ban diya hai.Issi karan bah yeh woh Pitaji ko dukh pohoch sakta hai jante huye bhi iss rudraksh ka parityag nahi kar rahi hai.

Listening this that her father would be hurted by her deed she threw the rudraksh away in the river. But it was sticked by something in the water. But Sati again returned there and picked it up again without anyone's notice.

When they came at the temple they were ordered by Prajapati Daksh to bring 108 lotuses for the worshipping of Lord Vishnu to please him so that his idol could cross the doorstep of that temple. All the sister again went to the forest to collect the lotuses for worship. Sati was picking the lotuses when she saw a beautiful butterfly. Its colours attracted her and she too could not resist herself to follow that creature. But soon she reached near a mountain region where she found a mountain just look like the Shiv-linga. She was wondered to see that mountain and felt a strong urge to go on and on but suddenly she heard a voice"Devi".She saw a rishi dressed in a strange manner and wore the same rudraksh's bracelets, armlets and garlands. She asked him about his identity. He told her that he was Rishi Dadhichi and told her why the Vishnu idol didn't enter in the temple. But she didn't believe him. Then he told her to place her hand on the grand Shiv-linga(which was looked like a mountain from the distance) and she visualized the whole construction of Lord Vishnu's idol in 'Mahanidra'(as mention in Sashtras and told by Rishi Kashyap to Prajapati Daksh). She was shocked because after gaining the knowledge and sense she never ever heard about Mahadev. She didn't know about his existence if Rishi Dadhichi hadn't told her about Shiv. Her mind went through a self confrontation. In one side she knew and obeyed everything which were told by her father to her and in the other side she discovered a new truth, a new God, who is God of the Gods Mahadev''.Shiv.When she reached to the temple she caught the sculptor of the Vishnu idol. He too confirmed the fact and hand over her a Shiv-linga and asked her to place it in the blank place in the construction. Sati did as she directed. And the wheel of platform where the whole Lord Vishu's construction was placed was moved and the labours easily pull in the platform with Lord Vishnu's idol. Prajapati Daksh became so happy but soon his happiness turned into a blind anger when he discovered the Shiv-linga with the Vishnu idol .

Suddenly the Shaiva Rishis led by Rishi Dadhichi arrived at the temple and shouted "Har Har Mahadev". Daksh became angrier and asked him to stop taking Shiv's name and challenged him if he existed somewhere in this earth then summoned him to come . Rishi dadhichi answered him that he may come if someone calls him with a' belpatra'. Daksh ordered to bring belpatra to his men. Then he asked Rishi Dadhichi to call Lord Shiv. Rishi Dadhichi asked Sati to keep the belpatra in her palm and call him.

Sati with her all devotion, dedication and respect in her heart summoned for the first time her Lord, Shiv to come. When she opened her eyes she saw that everywhere was covered by smoke and from the smoke someone emerged who was enlightened like 100000000000 suns. His glow and rediance was too powerful to keep ones eyes open. But surprisingly Sati remained unaffected by that Aura and she walked slowly towards the person. Soon she came near to him and saw his face. His face was the most beautiful like anything, his eyes were full of mercy and peace, his smile healed every kind of ailments, pains and sorrow in ones life. Seeing him, Mahadev a stern smile came on Sati's face and she ws completely mesmerized by him. But soon she came out from her trance as her father Prajapati Daksh insulted Mahadev and he disappeared without accusing anybody. Seeing him disappearing Sati started to run towards him as she didn't want him to go But her father stopped her by uttered "Sat..ii".

She was in deep turmoil. She could not figure out what was going on to her??She , being a 'Dakshayani' and the most lovable and dearest daughter of Prajapati Daksh always followed her father's rules and regulations word by word. But first time she failed. After the temple incident Prajapati punished her with and illusive task: she had to write Vishnu name on 100000lotuses petals as her rectification job and he punished the sculptor and his family and his whole community with the "nirvasana" . During her punishment period one day she was lost in the forest and it was started raining heavily. She took shelter under some trees . Suddenly a twig of leaves fell onto her head. She picked that up and found that twig "Belpatra" which is used to worship Shiv. She ran away from there but couldnot find her path and finally reached near at that very mountain'..the Grand Shiv-Linga.She became very angry and told "kaun hai aap??Kya shatruta hai aapko mujhse aur mere Pitaji se?? Yadi sahas hai to samne aaiye, aise kayaron ke bhanti kyun antaral mein chhupe hai??" and she fainted. Later she was found by Khyati and Aditi and they carried her in the "Daksh Bhavan". Then she started writing the Vishnu name on those Lotuses. When the morning sun arose and her father came into her room to end her punishment he found Sati was done with her rectification job. He was so proud on Sati and announced her as his well-deserved heir but his pride turned into disappointment when he discovered that she wrote "Shiv" on those rose petals instead of 'Vishnu". But seeing Sati's broken and state he assimilated his anger and pacified her by saying that she was misled by Shiv. And he did this because she was the nearest and dearest daughter of Prajapati Daksh and if Sati got hurted Daksh felt double pain. But he assured her that soon he would punish that jerk or"Pakhanadi" and ordered his men to threw those lotuses away. Sati went to the Palace's garden and suddenly a lotus inscribed the name of "Shiv" blew with the north wind and fell near her feet. She picked it up and saw the name of "Shiv".In the mean time at Kailash Mahadev scolded Nandi for his deed (he went to 'Daksh Bhavan' in the disguise of a farmer and brought all the lotuses inscribed the "Shiv" name from there to Kailash.) and asked him to caste away those lotuses. Nandi casted those lotuses off in the ManSarovar but one of them blew in the air and fell onto Mahadev's feet and one of them reached to Sati. They both stared at the lotus at the same time and dipped into some thoughts.

Now she realized her true self. She was Shiv's Ardhangini, his Ardhabhagini, his consort. She was the other half of Shiv. A night mare , she used to have it in her dream where she saw a shadow was dancing on the sky at the North side where the Kailash situated(she heard from her sisters that in Kailash Shiv resided). She could see the one half where she saw Shiv but could not see the other half. It disturbed her very much. The spring time arrived and the whole Kankhal Skhetra was decorated for the spring festival. This year the responsibility of the spring festival was given to Sati by Prajapati Daksh as he left the palace for the Mahasabha. So Sati along with her other sisters and Chandrama, her brother-in-law and husband of Rohini and Revati started the preparation. She went to fetch water from 'Saraswati' river and suddenly heard a sharp noise which was almost killed every living creatures and plants of that forest and hurt Sati's ear screen the most by its sharpness. She didn't pay any heed on that and filled her pot with water and advanced to the palace when an enchanting tune and magical tone wiped out all her bitterness which was created by that "sound pollution". She was just spell bounded by that magical voice and she started to follow the direction where that magical note was come out. In the meantime Devarshi Narada wanted that Shiv atleast once met his Sati,he saw alone. And he found a superb opportunity when all the Raagas and Raaginis were going to Daksh Bhavan to join in the spring festival. He stopped them all and expressed his wish that he wanted to sing something for them. They all were pleased by his words and sat underneath the trees and started listening his song. But soon Devarshi picked the wrong chord and sang all the raagas and Raaginis in distorted voice. Thus caused them fainted and soon they all reached near to their death. Then helplessly Narada summoned Lord Shiv and told them to revive those raagas and Raaginis again otherwise the music would be lost from this world. Shiv appeared in front of Narada and assured him with his smile and then he took his Rudra Veena and started to play an enchanting tune and sang a very soulful song. Sudddenly Devarshi Narada noticed that Sati was walking towards Shiv . She was not in her sense and completely under the influence of Shiv' song. She couldnot resist herself but started dancing sponteniously on Shiv's tune in front of her lord, Shiv just like a peacock dancing in the rain to impress his peahen. When Shiv stopped his song and opened his eyes he saw Sati in a dancing pose. But he didn't speak a word and left that place. And Sati was deeply moved by Shiv's soulful voice and his enchanting music . Later in the same day she participated in the singing competition which was a part of the spring festival and sang the same enchanting song which was sung by Shiv before. In that time she was completely dipped in Shiv's thought and his music. It seemed that the song had only the voice of Sati but its music and words were directly come out by Shiv. Everyone from the singing competition was mesmerized by Sati's song and declared her as winner of that competition. But she still couldnot believe that she had sung Shiv's song and won the contest. He was that very person for whom her father and her family had immense hatred in their heart. "Tu ne yeh kya kiya Sati" a voice came behind from her. She turned around and saw Madanike. Madanike was a dunsue and their dance and music teacher. She arrived at Daksh Bhavan to join the spring festival by invitation. She fonded Sati so much and treated her like her daughter. In that morning when she entered the palace she was welcome by Sati and seeing her Madaanike assumed that she was in love with someone. But she never imagined that the person would be Mahadev. Having Mahadev as lover, as husband and soulmate is the biggest boon of any woman but Sati's father was Prajapati Daksh , an arrogant , egoistic man who hated Mahadev the most on this earth.Only to satisfy his ego he cursed Shiv to not to be worshipped by anybody. Her heart was sinking by the thoughts of those dreadful consequences of this relationship. So she asked her the above question.

Sati: Aap kya keh rahi hai Madanike mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai.

Madanike:Tu bhali bhanti samajh rahi hai main kya keh rahi hoon. Aisa nahi ho sakta Sati ,tu Mahadev se prem nahi kar sakti hai. Tu janti nahi iska parinaam kitna bhayankar ho sakti hai……parlay aa jaiga Sati Pralay….Jwal jayegi tu Sati jwal jayegi.

Sati:Mujhe swayam gyat nahi Madanike mujhe kya ho raha hai.

Madanike: tujhe Mahadev ko bhulna hoga.

Sati agreed with her. Later Madanike wanted to go to meet Rangraj to bring some new colours, colours of love. Prasuti insisted her to take Sati along with her. Though she didn't want to take Sati with her Sati insisted her to come with her.But in the forest they were separated from each other as a fierce storm was attacked the whole Kankhal Skhetra. The storm was actually Vitrasur, an evil fierce monster who awoke from his 'Samadhi' and now went to search food for himself. Finally the hunter grabbed his prey. Vitrasur attacked on Sati as she was diverted from her path and came in a hilly region. Suddenly somewhere the thunder was enlightened and a trident came and fell in between her and that stormy monster. She was rescued . she turned around to see her savior and she discover Shiv again. She walked to him and their eyes met again. But before she could say anything he held her hand and dragged her towards his back. Seeing that fierce monster she was so scared that she grabbed his shoulder hardly. Later she realized that she touched a man's shoulder but she was attracted by him so much that she didn't removed her palm on his masculine shoulder. Then again he dragged her and this time held her in his strong arm and raised his trident towards that monster. But Sati only looked at him and his face. She never ever got so closed to any man. So the situation may be odd for her. But she was very comfortable with her Lord, Shiv. Again Shiv pushed her backe this time by touching her arm and shielded her from that monster and finally destroyed that creature. After finished his mission he disappeared from there again without saying a single word to Sati. Madanike came there and found her alright she thanked Lord Shiv(she was also scared and worried about Sati's safety. So she summoned Mahadev and requested him to protect Sati from danger). After that incident they returned to the palace.

After returning to the palace Sati got ready for beauty contest she discovered a mark on her left arm. It was 3 paralale lines like 3 fingers mark on her arm(it was called 'tripundra). Though she hesitated by people's eyes she was happy of thinking that she had something from her beloved which was only for her. After that she went to Revati's room to help her to be ready for the beauty contest.after finishing the contest she was returning to her room. Suddenly she heard a voice. She followed the voice and found Chandrama and Revati were talking with each other . Chandrama told Revati that he only loved Rohini, not her . He always see Rohini in everywhere, in his heart. Listening this Sati was thinking about Shiv again and left that place silently. In the corridor . in the dark and light she finally discovered her Lord , Shiv standing. Seeing him she became overwhelmed and started running towards him and hugged him tightly. Her face was just on his heart. She finally realized that Madanike was right . She was in love with Shiv. But when she lifted her head from his chest she noticed that Shiv was standing without any feelings on his face. She was deeply surprised. She told

Sati: Aaj mujhe gyat hua ki aap main aap se prem karti hoon. Atyant prem. Parantu main aapne Ma-Pitaji, aapne Behenon se iss Vishay pe kuch keh nahi paa rahi hoon kyunki mujhe yeh abhi tak gyat nahi ki aap mujh se prem karte bhi hai ya nahi. Aise anuragvihin kyun rehte hai…….maine aapko aapni bhavnao se abgat kara diya parantu main aap ka yeh maun kab tak sahoon??Kuch kehte kyun nahi?? Kya aap mujh se rusht hai??Kahin aap Piataji ki bhul ka dand mujhe de na chahte hai…nahi nahi aisa na karein…….main Pitaji se baat karungi kintu aap Piataji ka dand mujhe na de.

Shiv again disappeared from there without addressed her anything. She was devastated by that rejection. The next day she was assigned to look after the Shaligram during Narayan-Tulsi vivah. When she held the Narayan Shila or Shaligram in her hand she imagined it a Shiv-Ling. Madanike noticed that and warned her that though Narayan and Shiv both were stone Narayan wanted to break the stone aspect of him so he came out from the stone and connected himself to this world . But Shiv want to be a'Vairagi" and remained in the stone. Sati said" main aapne prem se unhe punah iss sansar mein apas layungi, unhe iss patthar se bahar nikalungi". She was very confident about her love towards Shiv.

In that evening she dressed up beautifully and went to her Lord Shiv. She found him on her way . She smiled at him sweetly and shyly and advanced towards him. But he again rejected her love and her feelings by saying"keval bhram hai yeh tumhara." She was hurted and devastated again and turned back to return the palace. Seeing her leaving Shiv's eyes now showed so much pain and plight. He promised himself that he would not give any kind of pain, pain of separation to her again from which he had gone through .

Sati didn't understand what was in Shiv's mind but she knew that she loved him very much. But she still could not find out what was the relation of that night mare to her??She went to forest again and again diverted her way and reached to Rishi Dadhichi's Ashram. This time Rishi Dadhichi told her everything and again asked her to place her palm on that grand Shiv-Ling. She placed her palm and closed her eyes and this time finally she could see the other part of that shadow. The other part was she. That meant she was the consort of Shiv. Now she determined whatever may be happened to her she made herself accepted by Shiv in front of everyone.

So for the dancing competition she started dancing breathlessly. She danced with all her skill, devotion, dedication, respect and love in her heart for Shiv. She danced madly and finally fell down on the floor and said"aap ko aana hi hoga" within her breathes. In Kailash Shiv opened his eyes and couldnot resist himself to go to Sati to join her in her dance. They both started dancing. The Adi-purush and Adi-Shakti started dancing in joy. The whole creation was very happy and they both dipped into the dance and each other's company and forgot everything. But suddenly Shiv realized that being a hermit dancing with a young lady was unacceptable so he left her in the middle of the dancing. But she didn't stop her dance and finally fell on the floor by listening her name from her father's voice"Sat…iii". Everyone witnessed this mesmerizing sequence and also witnessed that Sati was lying on the Shiv's picture which was painted by her feet during her dance. She had gone into a deep trance, after realized completely that Shiv was Lord of her life, her soul, her heart. She was only for Shiv's. She surrendered herself completely towards Shiv.

Part Two: Helpless Sati and so was her Lord Shiv

"Bhul jao mujhe Dakshini, Mujhe bhulne mein he tumhara heet hai"

She still couldn't believe her ears. Her Lord Shiv told her those words. How could be he so rude and feelingless toward her. She was his 'Ardhangini'. How could he reject her like that??How could he insult her like that?? She started cried badly when Revati entered her room. Revati would stay with her during her 'Nandavrat' period by her mother-in-law Anusuya's order.

She remembered that her Lord Shiv left her in the middle of their dance. After that what happened she didn't know.Later she heard that from her sisters that she went into a deep, never ending trance stage or 'Yoga Nidra'. No remedies left to the Vaidyas, Jyotishs and the NavaGrahas to revive her . Rishi Kashyap told that only Devadidev Mahadev could revive her by his touch. But her proud and egoistic father didn't listen anybody's word and decided to use all his Prajapati designation's power to cure Sati from this trance. Though it showed a doting and caring father's love, care, affection and fondness to his daughter it also showed that he was ready to give up his 'Prajapati' designation for his daughter's sake. Where the whole creation needed his care and presence for her existence. So Shiv didn't stay quiet but came to Sati and touched her forehead , Soon she regained her consciousness and opened her eyes. From here she reminded everything. When she opened her eyes and found her Lord Shiv besides her bed she was overwhelmed with joy. Her tears of joy fell from her eyes. He silently smiled at her and was about to leave but Sati grabbed her hand to stop him. Sati got up on the bed and asked

Sati: Aap yahan??Iske arth hai aapko Pitaji ne sweekar liya.

Shiv:Nahi Sati. Nahi unhone mujhe sweekara hai aur nahi maine tumhare prem ko.

Sati: to aap yahan…..

Shiv: Main yahan keval apne dayitwa ki purti hetu aaya hoon.Iss sansar ko main Prajapati vihin kaise hone de sakta tha.Tumhare Pita tumhe swasth karne ke liye aapne Prajapati pad ko tyag ne chale the……issi karan mujhe yahan aana pada.

Though he told these words his eyes didn't hide his feelings for her. After that Daksh entered her room and saw Shiv was disappearing in thin air. He became very angry to Sati . But firstly he punished Madanike as she was found a Shiv devotee. When she abandoned the palace she left the Shiv-Linga for Sati. But Daksh noticed that and tried to throw it away though he failed after several attempts. Sati could not see her Lord's this state so she came and lifted the Shiv-Linga with all her dedication and devotion, love and respect and handed over it to Madanike. Madanike smilingly said "Main toh bhul hi gayi thi tujhe iski kya avashyakta hai……..Shiv toh tere hriday mein rehte hai" and blessed her while left the palace. Daksh angrily asked her about her love towards Shiv and Sati admitted that she was in love with Shiv. Thus brought Daksh's blind anger and wrath for Sati. He put Sati in the fiery circle and imprisoned her there . And told her if she didn't forget Shiv she would be a prisoner in the Daksh Rekha. No one could enter there or could come out from there without his wish, not even her Lord Shiv.

As a prisoner she recalled each and every memory of her meeting with Shiv. Her memory flashed all images of their meetings on her eyes1. the first meeting of her and shiv at Vishnu temple, 2. she was dancing in front of Shiv,3.she sang Shiv's song based on Shankar raga,4. she rescued her from the monster Vitrasur,5.she went to meet Shiv but he refused her,6.she hugged him but she didn't tell anything and 7.their couple dance and its after effect. Suddenly she remembered Madanike's words"Jwal jayegi tu Sati….jwal jayegi". She decided to end her life by burn herself so she put her feet on the Daksh-Rekha's fire while she tried to cross the line. But again her savior, her Lord Shiv came but this time he was angry at him.

Shiv:Iss tarah baar baar mujhe vibash kar dene se main tumhare prem ko sweekar nahi loonga.

Sati: aur iss tarah mere hriday aur mere bhavnao ko aghat pohochane se main aap ko bhul nahi sakti.

Shiv: Tumhe mujhe bhulna he hoga.Yeh keval matra tumhara bhram hai.

Sati: Aap aur Pitaji jo chahte hai woh kabhi v sambhav nahi ho sakta. Kintu main aap ko bachan deti hoon Sati iss Daksh Rekha ke vitar ajeevan jwalti rahegi parantu kabhi v aapka smaran nahi karegi.

He disappeared from there. Suddenly Prasuti came there and told her that inspired by her rebeletion Chandrama also stood against Parajapati Daksh and refused to stay with Revati. So Prajapati cursed him to be decayed within 24hrs. Sati became so sad after listening that. She told her Lord Shiv with tearful eyes that he didn't need to come for her but here Chanadrama was in danger and he had to come to save Chandrama.

In Kailash Mahadev was in deep thought of his beloved Sati when he heard the crying of Anusuya and Atri. He became very angry and took his fierce and big form to destroy Daksh's creation as soon as he knew the curse of Chanadrama. No one could pacify him. Seeing him in his destructive mood the other 2 Gods from the trinity decided to worship him first and then they would try to revive Chandrama.

But still a question arose how to revive Chandrama??As Prajapati's curse was irremovable and incurable no one could cure Chandrama from the decay. Then Rishi Kashyap told everyone they had to reach at Prabhash Skhetra and had to chant the 'Mahamrutyunjaya Mantra'. This Mantra had only the power to protect ones from any kind of accident, unnatural and untimely death. But the problem was that the inscription was kept by Rishi Markandeya and he didn't disclose it . so someone needed to go him and pleaded him to give the inscription for Chandrama's revival.

Lord Vishnu appeared before Daksh and order her to make a new planet or 'Graha' by his creative power and for that he had to free Sati because only she had all 36gunas and other superior quality which differentiated her from other. Daksh set Sati free from his imprisonment and ordered her to bring soil from the bank of 'Saraswati' river. When she reached there Devi Laxmi by Lord Vishnu's instruction took Sati's form and returned to the palace with the soldiers who guarded Sati. Sati came back and surprised to see no one was there for her. Then two Brahman came and told her that the eldest Brahman's son did a great sin. So they had to worship this God(they showed her a black Shiv-Linga) .Did she have any problem??She happily agreed with them and they started the worship and she held the Shiv-Linga near her heart and sat with closed eyes. When she opened her eyes she found nobody in there. Then Devarshi Narada came and first time called her Mata instead of Devi.

Narada:Avinandan ho Mata Mahadev ki Shrap mukti ho gayi. Aur yeh keval aaap ke karan sambhav hua hai.

Sati:Aap yeh kya keh rahe hai??

Narada:Mata aap swayam Adi-Shakti hai, issi karan swayam Pita Brahmadev ebam Bhagawan Vishnu ne aap ki puja ki Mahadev ko santussht karne ke liye. Taki unka krodh shant ho sake aur unhe shrap se v mukti mile. Dekhiye(he poited at her Shiv ling) woh toh ho chukka.

Sati noticed that the Black Shiv-Linga became white one. She was very happy. Then Devarshi asked her to come with him to Rishi Markandeya's Ashram so that they could take the 'Mahamrutyunjaya mantra" from him. She happily agreed and went with him. Seeing her with the white Shiv-Linga Rishi Markandeya was overwhelmed and welcomed them. Then he did Shiv's and Sati's (her Adi-Shakti form's) worship and handed over her the inscription.

Then she reached to Prabhash Skhetra where everyone were waiting for her arrival as they got the news that she was coming with with the inscription. Then they all were starting to worship Lord Shiv and enchanting the mantra "triyambakam yajamahe suganhim pushtivardhanam.urvarukhmevavandhanat mrutyurmukti nayamamritam." Finally Shiv came and gave life to Chandrama but also warned him about his duties and responsibilities towards his both wife. Then everyone wanted to do his special worship and he agreed smilingly. But Sati was sad again as he never give one glance to her. She became very upset when Madanike(she becam a hermit and Shiv devoteeafter abandon her previous lifestyle) came to her. She said"Shiv keval mere hai, keval mere". But Madanike told her of course Shiv was her but his devotes also had right on him. She became angry on him again. So Madanike requested Shiv to cajole her anger. Shiv assured her that he would come.

Sati went at the corner of the Prabhash Skhetra when she sensed that her Lord Shiv had come to her. Seeing him she was very happy . But it was only for a few moments. Because Shiv took her with him to his resident at cremation ground and showed her thin line between the life and death. She was too scared to see the cruelty in that place. And Shiv again advised her to forget him."Sati, Daksh ki banayi huyi sansar ki aur Dakshputri ki jeevan ki yehi aake samapt hoti hai. Aur yehi se prambh hota hai mera sansar. Tum yahan nahi reh sakti . Bhul jao mujhe Dakshini mujhe bhulne mein he tumhara heet hai". And he brought her back to the same place. Suddenly her father came there and tried to killed her with a fire ball as he thought that Sati insulted him being as Shiv's 'Premika'. Shiv couldnot hold his anger anymore to see Daksh's this kind of insane activity and came in front of his fire ball and shielded his beloved Sati from it. He assimilated that fire ball within him and took his Trident(trishul) up to aim him and was about to throw it to him if Sati didn't covered her father from his aim. She was furious at him and said"Dakshayani keh kar aur aapne liye mujhe ayogya bata kar aapne mera ghor aapman kiya hai. Toh phir kyun aap mere Pitaji par prahar karna chahte hai??"

Shiv(shockingly):Unhone tumhare pran haran hetu tum par prahar kiya tha.Maine toh keval tumhari raksha kar raha tha.

Sati:Woh mere Pita hai. Unhone mujhe yeh jeevan pradan kiya hai yadi unhone mujhe doshi paya hai toh mujhe dandit karne ka bhi unhe adhikar hai. Bhale he uske liye woh mere pran he kyun na chin le.

Shiv had left the place sadly after warned Daksh for his deed and reminded him if he ever dared to hurt Sati by anyway he would destroy him with all his power and pride. Daksh realized his daughter's respect and love towards him So he placed his hand on her head and pacified her saying that being Dakshayani was not her insult but it was her grace. And he brought her with him to palace again. This time Revati came with her(as asking by Sati Daksh did mercy Chandrama and accepted him as his SIL again and also his 2 daughters Revati and Rohini. So Revati came with her instead of went with Chandrama to Chandraloka). She reminded her about the Nanada Vrat. Sati took the 'Sankalp' To do the Vrat and made a Shiv-Linga with clay and then along with Revati went into the cremation ground to collect fresh ashes from there. Revati hesitated to enter into the "Smashan"( as it was forbidden for the women and girls according to Prajapati Samhita)so Sati entered there alone. When she picked a fistful of ashes from a burning deadbody someone grabbed her hand in his strong hand. She looked at her Lord Shiv and asked"jab chhod ke jana hi hai toh bar bar sahara kyun date hai?"

Shiv: Chinta hai mujhe tumhari. Nanda Vrat ka vichar aapne mann se tyag do.

Sati: Sab jante hai main bachpan se atyant hathi hoon. Agar maine kuch karne ka sankalp le liya use purna avasya karti hoon. Kintu mujhe bhai hai jis prakar se aap mera baar baar tiraskar kar rahe kahin mere hriday iss aghat se itna na tut jaye ki aap punah use kabhi jod he nap aye.

Shiv again disappeared from her sight and she unwillingly left that cremation ground. When she returned to the palace she found that her parents(Daksh and Manuputri Prasuti) were ready to sacrifice their life by their own wish. She was emotionally broken down completely after seeing her parents behavior. It seemed that everyone pointed her for her parents self-sacrifice. She tried to make them stop and for that she took a vow that she would forget Shiv forever and would marry him, who would be chosen one by her father.

The next day she went to abandon the Shiv-linga in the river. On her way a demon(send by Tarakasur, he got a boon from Mahadev that he would die only by Shiv-Putra's hand. When he listened about Sati's love and dedication towards Shiv he send this demon to kill Sati so that Shiv would be bachelor forever) was trying to kill her. But her Lord Shiv again came to save her. He killed that demon but this time Sati behaved so rudely to him and told that he had nothing to do with her life and her death. So she next time didn't want him as her protector. Saying this she reached to the 'Saraswati river and was about throw the Shiv-Linga but Nandi came there and convinced her to not to throw it in the water. He asked her to caste it off to him. She did so by saying this "Shiv mere liye ek patthar hai, keval ek patthar".This was her first step to forget her Lord, Shiv. Her next move was: she had reached to an ironman's workshop and picked up a redhot ironrod to burn the Tripundra mark created by Shiv's touch during the Vitrasura attack. Shiv was shocked and hurted so deeply seeing her activity that a drop of tear fell from his eyes and it brought heavy rainfall. In this rain Sati's Tripundra mark wiped out and she became angry on him again.

Aapko meri saugandh.

Shiv became so helpless and felt very sad. But he was now unable to anything for Sati. In the meantime Sati went to Rishi Patni Anusuaya's Ashram and returned her Nanda Vrat Vidhi pustak. A demon (send by Tarakasur)again attacked her to kill but this time Shiv hypnotized them by his illusive power but now he felt her pain, plight and pain of separation twice time more than her.But what should he do??

Chapter Three:Shiv became human to get her Sati back

"Maine Sati se prem kiya hai, ab main Manushya ban kar uske pass jayunga aur apne prem ki dayitwa ko nibhayunga"

Sati was tired by this confrontation between her father Daksh and her beloved Lord Shiv. So she left everything on her fate and reluctantly did everything. She had no attachment , no fondness towards this beautiful earth and her life. She gave her consent to her marriage with Sadbhish(Son of Rishi Atri) only to respect her father's wish. The day had been arrived when she would have to be ready for her 'Ashirvaad ' and' Shagun' ceremony . Her mother and sisters were helping her in her dressing and make up. Only Revati could have noticed that Sati was not happy any more. She tried to draw her mother's attention towards this but she didn't listen to her. Everything was going fine but suddenly one of her hair thorn pinned in her feet and it started bleeding heavily and she was fainted and her blood when touched the 'Rudraksh'(found by Sati in the river) Shiv's could not stay calm any more. He became very mad to feel Sati's pain that he started to dance Tandav, the destructive dance. The whole creation was again in danger. No one could understand how to pacify him??

In Daksh Bhavan when everyone was busy to nurse Sati's wound Revati silently picked that Rudraksh up with a piece of cloth and came out from the Daksh Bhavan and called Chandrama to take her to Kailash(after Daksh's curse Mahadev gave Chandrama's life back to give him a place on his head. From then he is known as Somnath.) When Chandrama and Revati reached to Kailash they found Nandi and other Ganas were so scared that they worried about something wrong. Revati without wasted any time showed the Rudraksh which was soaked by Sati's blood to Mahadev and asked him to be calm. Mahadev calmed down and returned to Kailash when Revati gave him the Rudraksh and requested him to save her dearest sister's life by accepting her as his other half. Shiv assured her and said,"Maine Sati se prem kiya hai ab main manushya ban kar uske pass jayunga aur apne prem ke dayitwa ko nivayunga".

The marriage preparation was stopped by Manu Putri Prasuti when she found Sadbhish ugly and completely undeserved candidate for her beloved daughter Sati. So first time in his entire life Prajapati Daksh had to accept his deafeat in front of a mother and he went to search a sculptor named Jatta,as told by his father Brahmadev who could be able to make Sadbhish handsome. After so many difficulties he finally got him and made him agree to come at his palace. Today was the day when that sculptor Jatta would come to this palace. But he had one condition that he would be welcomed by Sati, only. But Sati was very ill and couldnot able to lift her head up from the bed. Suddenly she heard a enchanting and melodious voice. She found it similar with someone but could not recall it. She listened the song attentively and guessed that was 'Vishnu Stuti'. The voice sang "shantakaram bhujagashayanam padmanabham suresham.Vishwadharam gaganasadrisham meghvarnam shubhangam. Laxmikantam kamalanayanam yogivirdhyanagamyam.vande Vishnu bhavabhaya harnam sarvalokai eknatha. Om Namoh Narayanaya." Listening this whole melodious Sati got up on her bed and saw everyone was went away to welcome the sculptor. She too walked to the Rajsabha to welcome and greet that sculptor. But she was so shocked when the sculptor who gave his identity as Jatta gifted her a Vishnu idol and demanded her to stay with him for that night to sculpt Sadbhish's Murti. Unwillingly everyone permitted her to stay with Jatta. But Jatta asked her about Shiv and asked her"aap Shiv ko bhuli nahi Devi". Sati became mad at him aksed him do his job. He replied back that he was doing his job right now. Then he asked her to close her eyes to think a handsome , attractive form of Sadbhish. But everytime she visualized Shiv and she was disgusted by Jatta's behavior she left that place angrily.

The next day Revati determined to send Sati at Kailash. So she took her to the riverside and left to search for a boat. Sati sat on a rock near the river and was thinking about her fate and Jatta's strange behavior. Her marriage had been postponed after Jatta declared that he needed a good quality rock slabs to sculpt Sadbhish's idol. Suddenly she heard a voice and looked back . She was surprised to see Jatta there waving his hand saying "Jao, Jao" . She again looked at the river and saw a crocodile was going back to leave her. She queried him about that crocodile and puzzled again knowing that Jatta fonded of crocodiles from his Sevak. She surprised again when a little boy named as Sukarna called her "Mami" and related her with Jatta. Thistime she again became furious at him and angrily left that place. In the meanwhile Revati came to her and wanted to take her for a boat ride but Jatta and his Sevak do something that boat was capsized in front of them by filling with water. Then Jatta wanted to take them to the palace but they wanted to stay there when suddenly the sun set at the west side . And in that same time his Sevak intentionally threw stones at the rivers when she was going to look at their shadow in the river.

Jatta was standing in the garden staring at the sky and spreading his arm. Suddenly it was started raining when Sati entered in that garden . Something went into her eyes so that she could not able to see anything . So her feet slipped on the muds and she fell into Jatta's arm. She found so much relief and peace in his strong arm and closing her eyes she tried to remember before this when she felt so much relief and comfort in someone's arm. She opened her eyes and saw the sculptor was none other than but her Lord Shiv. She again remembered her each and every meeting with him and smilingly stared at him. He also looked at her eyes but then he realized that they were in very odd position. He stood Sati on her feet. Sati became so happy and asked her

Sati:Aap yahan mere liye aaye hai. Shiv shilpkar ban kar Kailash chhod ke Daksh Bhavan aayein hai. Itna prem karte hai aap mujhse??

Shiv:Aseem prem. Aseem prem hai mujhe tumse aur iss srushti se.

She became sad again as he mentioned his love was equal to her and this whole creation(without knowing that the whole creation was derived from her). She told him why did he act to find a good quality rock slab? She said

Sati: Aap toh Mahadev hai, Devon ke Dev jiss v patthar pe hath rakhenge woh yogya ban jayega toh bilamb kaisa?? Sadbhish ko sundar banaiye Mahadev mujhe use Vivah karna hai taki main aapne Pitaji ko diya hua bachan aur aap ki Ichcha ko purna kar sakun.

Hearing her answer the whole world cried out again. The rainfall started heavily again, the volcanos erupted, the land was shaked by the earth quake and a rock slab came out from the this earth quake and the rainfall was stopped . Jatta without wasting any further time started the sculpting. Initially Sati was with him but she said"Jab aap ko sab kuch pata he hai toh mujh se ek par purush ki kalpana karwane ka paap kyun karwana chahte hai aap.Aap Mahadev hai aap ke liye sab kuch sambhav hai kintu mere liye aapne hriday se aap ko nikalna asambhav hai." And she left that place.

The next morning she found that Jatta was done with his work and everyone praised him for his excellent sculpture and Sadbhish became a handsome man from then. She too praised jatta's skill very sarcastically to give him expensive gifts and his wages. After that she left that place.

The marriage preparation began once again in full swing when Sadbhish asked from Daksh's permission to take Sati with him in the forest to worship Lord Vishnu. Daksh gave the permission and asked Sati to go with him. But in the forest he became so evil and wanted to kill her. She seeked for help and ran towards Rishi Dadhichi's Ashram . Rishi Dadhichi tried hard to save Sati but the evil Sadbhish broke all his bones in his body. So helplessly he pleaded to Mahadev to come and protect his consort. Once again Shiv, Lord of Sati came and fought with the evil Sadbhish first and then with that demon who captured him after he became handsome(this demon was too sent by Tarakasur) and finally destroyed that demon. Then he came to Rishi dadhichi and give a boon to him that from then his bones would be as strong as thunder and saying this he left the place and Sati too returned the Daksh Bhavan with Sadbhish. During the 'Aashirvaad' and 'Shagun' ceremony Sadbhish realized that his ugliness was not from his outer beauty but it also came from his inner conscience. So that the demon could capture his body to kill Sati. He realized he had so much lust for being handsome that he turned into evil easily. So he rejected the marriage proposal with Sati and left the palace with his father. Daksh announced for Sati's 'Swayamvar' and Sati's self confrontation started again. But this time Revati finally managed to tell her the whole truth that Shiv came as Jatta, the sculptor at Daksh Bhavan only for her to help her to fulfill the commitment which was given by her to her father. He at a time supported her not to let her break her promise which she did to her father and other side he made understood Sadbhish about his faults what made him evil and Sati's true self as Adi-Shakti so that he could refuse the marriage . And everything was happened because when she was ill Revati went to Kailash and requested him to save her sister's life he agreed to come. But as per as Sati's swear he could not come to Sati in his true form so he came in disguised of Jatta. Listening this she reached to sculpting room but found that Mahadev himself sculpted his statue in 'Dwarpal' or gate keeper's form as per Prajapati's wish and left the palace quietly. Her state was now unconsolable but this time she too left the palace to search him in the forest as she knew he would go to meet that little boy who called her 'Mami' and and called him'Mama'. And she was right. Finally she found him in the forest sitting on a woodlog waiting for Nanadi's return. She slowly walked towards him asked for forgiveness for everything. She admitted that she was unknown the fact that her Lord too loved her more that her. He always insulted nad hurted him by her deed, SO in tearful eyes she asked for forgiveness. And finally he smiled at her and told that there was no fault made by her so why did she ask for forgiveness?? Then she wished to go to Kailash with him and assured him that she would be happy with him in any condition. Again he smiled and said if she left with him that would be a bad example for next generation. Because she being a grand daughter of Brahma and daughter of Prajapati Daksh had to obey all his rules and regulations. Then he assured her that he would surely come to her with him to Kailash on her Swayamvar day. She returned back to the palace happily and in the middle of her way she met to Prasuti who was now with her and said her not to worry(she listened Shiv-Sati's conversation behind a tree and she was deeply moved by Shiv's behavior.).

Chapter Four: The Marriage of Shiv and Sati

"Woh mujhe lene avashya ayenge"

Today was the day when Sati's Swayamvar would take place. All the suitable groom from Devas, Asuras, Yakshas, Gandharvas, Manushyas were come in this Swayamvar by Daksh's invitation. Mahadev's gatekeeper statue welcomed them all. But Sati was very happy and stayed very calm and composed as she knew that her Lord Shiv would surely come today to take her with him at Kailash. She even told this to her mother and sisters"Aaj unse milne ke pashchat mujhe yeh gyat ho gaya hai ki woh mujhe lene avashya ayenge" in last night.

In the 'Rajsabha' Prajapati Daksh sat on a royal throne decorated with gold and gems on the top of all. At his right-hand side Prasuti along with Khyati , Additi, Revati sat on their respective place and at his left-hand side Rishi Bhrigu and Rishi Kashyap (who were also his son-in-law and his 'Griha-jamata') stood along with Chandrama. The other Devas i.g Devraj Indra and his companions were seated at the guests' chair and the suitable grooms were standing in front of Prajapati with bated breathe. Then after the announcement Princess Sati came in her bridal attire. That time she looked the most gorgeous , beautiful and elegant bride on this earth. After her father's she walked towards the platform which was placed in the middle of the 'Rajsabha' and stood up on it. And then she closed her eyes and summoned her Lord Shiv with all her respect, love , dedication and devotion and held the garland up and said" Maine jisse sachcha prem kiya hai yeh varmala ussi ko susajjit karein". The garland was moving auto matically from her hand and it decorated Shiv's statue made by him in disguised of Jatta the sculptor in 'Dwarpal' form. Then she folded her hand and with tearful eyes pleaded to him "Ab to hiss patthar se bahar aa jaiye mere Shiv". The statue suddenly disappeared and the whole 'Rajsbha' was filled with that divine smoke and light again and from this smoky light her Lord Shiv emerged. Everyone witnessed that Sati's Love, her dedication and devotion and her respect brought her stone-hearted God Shiv to her. The garland was flaunted around Shiv's neck along with the garland of snake. He looked at Sati smilingly, lovingly and Sati looked him back shyly, smilingly. Everyone left their respective seats and stood up. Prasuti and her other daughters joined with Sati and Prasuti this time didn't care her husband's ego and rage but cared her dearest daughter's wish took her to her Lord Shiv. Everyone shouted "Har Har Mahadev" and Rishi Dadhichi along with Rishi Markandeya came with other Shaiva Rishis and Ganas and Pretas and Nandi. But Daksh didn't give his consent to this marriage and told that in his view Sati was still unmarried. Everyone tried to make him understood that Sati already married her Lord Shiv in 'Gandharva riti' but Daksh still sticked on his statement and this time he grabbed Sati's arm and dragged her into the "Antarpur" when Shiv too admitted that without his approval he would not marry Sati. Then Daksh's father Brahmadev appeared in the Swayamvar and try to convinced him to give his consent to this marriage. But he too failed to impress his 'Mahagyani' son. Then as father of Daksh he requested him to marry off Sati to Shiv but he refused him again. Then Daksh's 'Aaradhya' Lord Vishnu appeared there to save the situation become the worst. He took his giant form and literally threatened him if he didn't give his approval to this marriage then he would be his biggest enemy. Listening this he became lenient and give his approval to this marriage. Everyone were happy to listen this. Then Nandi requested his Master to garland his Mata. He smilingly took the Garland from him and advanced towards Sati to garland her. Sati too walked towards him slowly and shyly. In one moment she lifted her eyelids to take glance of her groom but the next moment she smilingly took her eyes down from him. But her Lord stared at her in a fixed glance and smiled at her silently. After reaching to his beloved Sati Shiv garlanded her and everyone showered flowers on them. Daksh unwillingly blessed her dearest daughter Sati when she asked his blessing and left the Rajsabha . So his father Brahmadev decided to do Sati's Kanyadaan to Shiv as her grandfather.

Marriage rituals took place one after another. Though the eyes of Bride and Groom met before according to 'Prajapatya riti ' the first rituals was 'Shubha-Drishti' where the Bride would cover her face with betel leaves(Paan patra) and after she rounded the groom thrice while sitting on a platform( the platform would be held by the brother's of bride either or "bahakas" if brothers were unavailable) she would lifted the betel leaves and looked at her Groom. While Sati performed this ritual she blushed all the time. Then next step was 'Malavadal' when both Bride and Groom exchanged the garlands which they wore previously. Then They both sat in the 'Vivaah-Mandap' where as Sati's grandfather Brahmadev did her 'Kanyadaan'. Everyone was so happy to witness that auspicious moment. And then Sati's sister Revati did her 'Jod-Bandhan' with her Lord Shiv. Then they performed 'Saptapadi' where the Bride and Groom both stood together but Groom stayed behind of Bride holding her arm and touched her heel with his toe and Bride with her feet had to crashed 7 betel leaves contained with rice, betel nut, haritaki etc. one by one with 7 different inscription. By each Inscription Bride and Groom promised each other to stay together, support each other in good and bad time etc. After the 'Saptapadi' the Bride did the "Laaj –Dahan" ritual by giving the Laaj in the fire (as the Bride put the laajs into the fire she is called Laajbanti)when the Groom held her arm from her back. Then the last rituals "Sindoor- Daan' took place where the Groom applied Sindoor or Kumkum on Bride's forehead . After that the Yajna bidhi was performed by the both Bride and Groom and then they were declared as husband and wife. After ending the marriage rituals Bride and Groom were sent into 'Vasar Griha' for resting.

While resting together in a quiet and well decorated room Sati told her Lord Shiv that she could not believe that she became his wife. He accepted her as his other half his 'Ardhangini'. To assure her he smilingly placed his hand on her hand and pressed it. She took his hand within her hands and touched his hand on her face. She closed her eyes and felt the happiness and joy being the supreme God's beloved wife. Then she asked whenever he met her and whenever he touched her why didn't she feel awkward? Her lord answered though her body was unaware from him her soul knew her him very well as her soul was the Adi-Shakti. Then she asked how did he stay without her when he loved her the most? Before he could answer her again she regretted that her family didn't give her proper respect . But then she realized that she too did the same fault so she took permission from him and went out from there to find a proper place for his resting. After searching all over the palace finally she found a suitable place in her garden and decorated the place beautifully with various flowers and prepared a swing for him. When he came in the garden with Sati he was pleased by the decoration and they both sat on the swing and enjoyed each other's company by staring at each other.
