what i have read and heard is when skand is created by six sparks the news of his birth reached vaikund...after hearing this news ,Lord vishnu closed his eyes there two eye drops fell down ,from that two beautiful women came out..Lord vishnu instructed them to do penance on Lord murugan to marry him ...so in the name of amirtha valli and sundra valli they jointly do penance for a long time ...Skand appeared before and gave the boon as such that amirta will be raised in her next birth as lord Indra's daughter and sundra will appear from before nambirajan from the womb of a dear ,,so she will raised by nambi in her next birth...he will eventually marry both of them after the war with surabadman...
