I liked Kartikeya getting hostile to Mahishashur insulting his mother, & Parvati ordering him to let her handle him. It was also amazing to see Kartikeya when he was contrasting the flashbacks of his mom vs what he was seeing now. And watching the expressions on his face was mind blowing. How many guys get to see their moms in such action sequences? 😆

Ma Durga's mannerisms - her shrillness while addressing Mahishashur - were completely in character, and very well delivered by Sonarika. Only thing - the singha vahini was w/ her throughout the fight, not just when Mahishashur became a bull. Her 1-1 swordfight w/ Mahishashur was something that didn't happen.

So finally, the lesson that I thought Kartikeya got was that while killing Taare, he should have given him a bhashan, like Ma Durga gave Mahishashur. In fact, Kartikeya should have delivered bhashans to Taare throughout his battle w/ him - poor Taare would have died of boredom 😈

Lakshmi comes up w/ such moronic statements - she praises Durga for all the difficulty & everything she had to overcome, which may have been true w/ the original real battle, but in this case, the fight b/w Ma Durga & Mahishashur was a cakewalk for ma Durga. So it just didn't make sense. And as noted before, it's inane to credit this w/ being a mom willing to do anything for her son - Ma Durga did this to reconquer for the Devas their kingdom from Mahishashur, who was enforcing his own worship on earth & everywhere else. In other words, Ma Durga fought Mahishashur for the same reason putra Kartikeya fought w/ Tarakasura - to reconquer swargalok for the devas. Why not give her her original real credit, instead of the tired old stereotype that the only reason a woman will fight like this is for her son?

So tomorrow, Kartikeya will set off to witness the Nav Durgas? Interesting way to keep Ma Durga in the spotlight - and I'm thrilled about it 😆

Hopefully, next week, they bring in Mahishi - Mahishashur's cousin - to take revenge for Mahishashur's death. Have Mahadev date Mohini, and Kartikeya comfort a sulking Parvati 😈

P.S. Shruti, you & forum both lost your bets - the battle lasted the whole segment. Although it deserved to go through the episode, but that's only possible had they shown Ma Durga battling Mahishashur's army as well.

so far they have focused so much on Parvatis Mamta towards her sons-i wonder what on earth she will do when Mahadev beheads Vinayak!

actually what Kartikeya felt was what my did was telling me-our Moms are always fussing around us all the time,and when the time comes they become Durga Ma ka Raudra Roop🤣..he he...all mommies are like that!

The fight sequence was good, Sonarika looked good in Maa Durga getup. I was reminded of the TV Mahalaya Programme during our childhood.

I wish they used some dance choreography move for the fight sequence but that I guess is too much to ask for.

More or less decent epi, and again Maa Durga had to apologise to ShivJi.

Honestly, I thought CV s came to such forums and read comments. So even after 200,000 times of pointing out, Women are not RUPVAN they are RUPVATI, cvs go and write the same thing again? Are they that obstinate or do they think so high of their grammar skills?

Give me power to supress the urge to suffocate the cvs.

Poor Kartikeya will have another identity crisis. If Ganga, Prithvi, Krittikas & Parvati weren't enough, now he'll have the NavDurgas. Can't they just let him be?

The thing about the beheading of Vinayak - even though it was Mahadev who did it, Parvati asked Ma Durga & Mahakali to go & destroy not him, but the devas & ganas, whose only crime was rejoicing @ his death. I guess son can't possibly trump hubby, which is why she didn't send them against him. But couldn't she have asked them to maul Vishnu, since he was the one engaging Vinayak while Shiva attacked from behind & cut off his head?

Actually, after Mahadev had beheaded Vinayak, even though the Devas & Ganas were rejoicing @ his victory, he himself was disturbed, wondering how would he face Parvati, having killed her son, and by implication, his own son as well.

Other question - how come Ma Durga & Mahakali did nothing to Kartikeya, even though they were busy mauling everybody who had fought Ganesh?

So basically what they meant is a woman is soft,loving,caring and emotional towards her child but at the same time she is strong and protects her child when the child's life is in danger.So a woman is not weak.She will tolerate anything bad happening to her but she will never tolerate anything bad happening to her child.

Fine,this message is good but the cvs should have introduced a fictional track and a fictional asur to show this.They changed the story,made Mahishasur a hard core MCP and a womanizer and made Durga kill him to protect her son.

Just like how cvs changed the story of Shivratri,they changed the story of Dusera too.

I miss the shlokas of DSS.

Just the thought of the fighting Goddess, taking time off to drink refreshment, offered by Shiva, while Mahisasur jumps and screams. The power this one emanates.

and once she kills Mahisasura, the line in Narayani stuti: Striya Samasta Sakala Jagatsu . Gives me goosebumps. Although the Savamangalya... is more famous. but this line trumps.

( gosh and then I wonder how come the country which produces such a line give birth to MCPs.)

Mahishasur the mighty Asura of Puranas lasted only for 2 epi. Let's get some new Asuras now, since some of the existing ones are dead.

Kartikeya will always listen to Paravti quietly after seeing her this form.

Tomm Shivji will enlighten him more about Nav-Durga.
