Yes Mahishasur sent a marriage proposal.But it was for Ma Durga and Not for Ma Parvati. Actually he had a boon that only a woman could kill her.During his battle with Ma Durga he continuously changed his form from asur to mahish to a handsome man. When he took a handsome man's looks he proposed Ma Durga to distract her from the battle but his proposal was rejected instantly and he came out in his true form.But he had no lust for Ma Durga he did that as a war-strategy.
