Why Laxmi has two hands?

Vishnu, Brahma and Saraswati all have four arms but why Laxmi is shown in two arms? Parvati is also having two arms ,but it goes good with Shiv' two arms. Anyway, Maha Laxmi comes in Samudra Manthan, when does Maha Saraswati come?

Laksami also has four hands but she is mostly depicted with two hands only

All the three forms were originated from aadishakti. As saraswati, lakshmi and uma. Stories r also depicting that one time tridevas insulted tridevis that they are superior than them so three of them got miffed and decided to sepate from tridevas so saraswati took river form and came to bhulok, uma took birth as sati and laksmi went into samudra.

woh chodo...lagta hain ki CV'S ne lakshmiji ko show main sirf sabhi ki aarthi lene ke liye rakha hain...jab dekho she's only doing that!!!!

i've even kept count of how many times she's done it.

1st sati ka swagat , then time twice or thrice for shivji during var-yaatra and all that , then parvati ka swaagat and now kartikey too!!!!

he mahadev ye kya hon rahan hain!!!

Becoz she is considered as saubhagya ki devi and arti by her gives subhagya and sisters have right to do arti of their brothers Mahdev have no sister so Lakshmi do all the ceremonies

parvati too is aadi shakti tho why she cant do the aarthi...

ok fine on all the previous occasions lakshmiji did , par in yesterday's epi atleast parvati could have done the aarti for kartikey na..after all uska beta hain!
