If they want to show Kartikeya married, they'll have to get another actor, who'll surely look older then Sonarika. Rushi is perfect for teenager Kartikeya.

Varaali, Did Kartikeya's marriage to Valli happen after the Dwapar Yuga? He can't use a future event as a precedent, you know.

Minakshi, they could get an actress in her 20s, preferably short, and deck her up to look younger, and have her marry Kartikeya. It'll look like a teenage marriage, but not too outrageous as BV. I was suggesting decking up Sriti Jha as she was in her first serial, and then putting her up as Devasena.

But the other little doubt nagging me is- if they are not showing Surapadman- they also cannot show Skanda with the peacock and the rooster emblem. And it would look a bit odd to see Muruga flankd on two sides by Valli and Devasena but w/o his vaahan or flag

it was just a question that i was slightly worried about...

but i honestly doubt they will show it,atleast in this show...if they show Devasena,theyll have to show Valli as well...

but if they dont show one,they might as well won show the other!

however it would be nice if they did make another show just on Kartikeya...the Valli-Kartikeya story has all the masala needed!

Awww, C'mon... if Sati can jump to Treta Yuga and meet Ram and Lakshman ...

But, yes I get your point...No I don't think Valli- kalyanam happened in Dwapara Yuga. B'cos according to some legends, Hanuman before departing from Lanka, paid a visit to Murugan's shrine at Kathirkama ( a place in Sri Lanka). And according to Ceylon Tamils, this was also the place where Valli and Murugan wooed each other.

Actually they should make a seperate show on Kartikeya only if they want to show all his stories.

Vrish wants to see Sriti in DKDM, then, you can say,

Since Surapadman is not there, can't they have Taki become his prized peacock & the cock-flag? And just skip the Simhamukha contribution to Mahakali? Yeah, it would be a distortion, but by no means the worst.

If they want to show more of someone other than Shiva, let it be Durga / Lalitha / Shakti. There are so many stories associated with her- and not all of them are about killings and Vadhas. Like the Guru Gita convo b/w Shiva and Parvati.

The Tantra Vidya part also was so rushed. I thought the serial is going to show how the Devi became the swamini of 64 crore yoginis . Maha chatu shashti koti yogini gana sevita - is how the Lalita Sahasranama describes Her. But no, the CVs pulled out an obscure fisher girl story -supposedly from the Southern legends - which does not even feature in mainstream literature.

But enough of Kartikeya. If they have to show his marriages,it means they are ascribing to the Southern versions- where he is the younger son. But in the serial he is already shown as the elder son- which means they are following the Northern Versions. So, let it remain so. It would really become a khichidi if they mixed up the Northern and Southern versions. And a very unpalatable khichidi, at that.

It will be great, if they show atleast one powerful aspect of Devi, with proper justice done during Navaratri.

Lalita is a stronger aspect of Paravti, if they show her then, they should to show Bhandasur. With Lalita all the powerful aspects of Parvati can be shown, because Laita Tripurasundari never crys.
