That at the end of the day DKDM is a MYTHOLOGICAL😆
im slightly amused
people keep saying the magic is missing, romance nahi hai etc etc
so did we forget courtesy the Sati phase that DKDM was ultimately a mythological and one fine day it would become one anyways
or was i the only one who expected that?😆
beacause see logically nothing much happened during Satis phase as per the puranas-hence they had the romance at its forfront, naach gana etc etc
its post her death that things actually started happening
so it was kind of expected from my side that they show would take a sharp turn from the "love story" they had shown earlier,to becoming a mythological
beacuse here they have a larger amount of stories to show over romance,
it was a completely natural turn that had to take place at some point of time
im sure the show would have still taken the same u-turn even if Mouni had to play Parvati, and im sure the same reactions would have come about then as well

i think somewhere down the line some of us may have actually forgot that DKDM by content was meant to and will be a mythological first!-romance,chemistry are all secondary(although i would like to see them too😳)

just a very random observation cos i have noticed people complain that they show isnt the same as it was earlier
it is the same,it just beacame what it was ultimately meant to be a mythological programme
and thar turn is actually the primary reason why DKDM is doing well today!
just an observation
i didnt mean to hurt anyone😳
cheers

Well to be honest it is only a very small section of people who keep tom tomming about this with a select few of their close counterparts. They want to spread this myth that the show's magic has gone off. On the contrary the fire is roaring now. If u look at the Sati era the so called romance was always one sided but nowadays the love between the married couple is depicted in very small nuances which touches the heart.
The show is much more loved and seen now. I for one have been following this show from end of Jan. Liked it then but absolutely love it now.
It was only after the Veerbhadra Maha epi did the show catch audience attention. Till then even the TRP was dismal for a show which has great sets, costumes, actors and great production value. Now with change in fortunes and high TRP's even others hows are benefiting from DKDM case in point AM and even SB.
I know for a fact that many people are crazy about this show and are huge fans of Sonarika. Yes u heard it right Sonarika. Not even Mohit. Though many would like to believe that Mohit is the whole and soul but there is a huge section of audience who love and adore Sonarika.
Many people talk about DKDM and the immediate reaction comes that Parvati looks divine and beautiful.
Especially women of all ages are loving her. The romance was too stretched out earlier with no content as u rightly point out. Lets be honest it is not a romantic show but a mytho. People like to see the various stories connected to Shiv and Parvati. There will be some light romantic moments in between to fill the gaps.

I have different pov. Sati's phase had more of Mythological & at times Spiritual significance too. Most of the findings had happened during Sati's phase about many significant aspects of Puranas & other scriptures too. D & D thread was more active at that time. It was a combination of Mythology & Chemistry. There wasn't much shown about Sati's story, but other characters were developed.

In Paravti's phase there are many stories. Here the stories with much more added craetivity is leaving viewers confused, disturbed. hope they concentrate on giving importance to the significance of various aspects & forms of Paravti, then this show will be great.

@meenaxi-they had a spiritual significance..maybe yes...but many of the sequences were cooked up..like the constant attacks,Sati fainting and all those things,Dakshas hatred...
the D and D thread was more acive then beacuse the show was still knew, and infact we have discussed almost everytopic there thats why it isnt that active
it was made a bit more filmy and romantisised!
also the focus during Satis time was romance and love
i think we have seen a larger number of stories in Parvatis phase!and yes they have put forward some concepts beautifully-like Ardhanaeeshwar,Parvatis Tapasya etc etc
regarding mess up-both of the phases have had thier own types of goof ups!

Each his own --- I find the romance is bubbling beautifully even now.
Mohit and sona have a lovely comfortable love going on between them.
I will not go on a comparing spree.
I will point out the fact that The directors did not have much to show during the sati phase. Now they have to show much more than love between shiv and parvati.
What can be more beautiful than a loving husband comforting a irate angry or sulking wife.
If they keep the cute moments going when they do come together as a family .. It will be awesome.
Is this topic trying to instigate a MM and MS comparison. I dont know but.. yes yesterdays goodby thread seemed like one. There were certain words that were highlighted by the person who posted which was not in good taste. If it was a simple good bye she should have stuck to that . I did not mention this over there, since she is a senior member and i dont like confronttions.

im not trying to instigate anyone...😆
if i feel that people will start a fight i will be the first one to shut this topic!

all i am saying is that DKDM is a mythological show and we should watch it that way!...in between many of us got disillusioned and forgot what the show is really about!...we expect it to be treated like a love story when the truth is it isnt one completely...
Satis phase was romatisied a lot(i liked i very much too,but its my opinion) and made into a Devdas style romance
so when the switch happened everyone was left stunned,i knew however they were going to make the show as it is-i.e in terms of presentation and story telling style!

my problem is different,at sati's time every character used to serve something and there were side stories like love triangle of chandra, revati and rohini.in parvati's time everyone became just a starer.vishnu had a lot more things to do at sati's times comparing parvati one.i have no problems with mythos but they should give us some vishnu, some laxmi, some saptarishis etc etc like they used to do at sati's time.plus they are too much glorifying mahadeva.he is god but he loses his temper as well and they are so underplaying adi-shakti.come on,parvati was the one who combined the children not mahadeva.i want every character to serve something, even parvati seems to be useless now a days.😡

Interesting topic...And I loved everybody's viewpoint on what they find different between the phases...
Ah well...two pence from my side...Sati phase and Parvati phase are totally different...from a complete layman point of view...ie knowing nothing about the scriptures...I would say that Sati phase was a teenager's love story...and it was given a depth and a flair because we all knew that it was going to die a very tragic death...where as Parvati phase is a matured love story...it is more about responsibilities, growing up together...Sati phase was never given that touch as we knew the end from the beginning..and nobody would have believed it otherwise...
Parvati phase..the most visible drawback has been the patchy editing ...and a kind of messed up stage...and also the lack of strong co-actors...the only strong actors are the ones which were also there during Sati phase...To be frank...Daksh was the peripheral of all...when he stood up..everything else dimmed...
Right now we have like dozen cameos..but not a solid actor..the only other role which is predominant is a weak character...Indra...even the Asurs have turned into something called Comic relief😆
That grandeur is missing...we loved Sati and Shiva against the total evil that was Daksha...

In this phase the couple is being hood winked by hopeless devtas and which is very pathetic actually...
Dont know if I make sense...I dont think I do😕😆 Ah well...i can say I am consistent😆

okey...
now where is this topic going???😆
i just meant to say that we should remember this show is a mythological and not expect the romance etc to be put in the forefront as compared to the Sati phase!and hence expect the represnetation to be made that way itself and not like a film!
im not comparing either stage!
oh God...do i have to be mistunderstood..
never mind!
