Kartikey.

So frnds the birth of shiv-putra kartikey is near in dkdm. So i want to ask few things to all the knowledgeble peoples here. 1) why kartikey is not seen in any pic wid mahadev-parvati and ganpati bappa. 2) i read on twitter that after killing tarkasur kartikey didn't returned to kailash. Is it true? And why? 3) i too heard that in his temple womens are restricted to enter. If its already discused then kindly close the topic and if not discused then kindly narate us the story of veer kartikey.

He is very much seen. I don't know how to include images here- but google 'Shiva Kutumbam' and see the happy family.

Well, after Tarakasur /Surapadman's killings, he got married to Devasena (Indra's daughter) and maybe she didn't want to stay with her in laws?😆

Certainly not. That's Ayyapa's temple that you are referring to.

U will normally find shiv holding ganesh and parvati holding karitkeya.. AFter the mango episode he goes away down south and stays in the hills of PAZYANI . he forgoes all this clothes and stand there with just a stick and in his loin clothes. HE IS CALLED AS PAZYANI AANDI
Shiv and parvati do go there and request him to come back. he does not. so I think there is another Jyothirling opposite to the hills of pazyani in which shiv and parvati reside permanently to look at their son

I beg to differ here. Skanda does grow up. The circumambulation of the Earth and his giving explanation to the Pranava mantra, happen in his childhood

The defeat of the asuras takes place when he is almost grown up. That's when his first marraige takes place. Still later on he woos and marries Valli.

Other events- his encounter with Auvaiyar ( a saint-poet), his giving grace to Arunagirinathar, Nakeeran (saints and devotees) take place after he reaches the status of God.

@foram: kartikeya temple in m'lore (kudupu and subramanya) doesn't have any restriction on women entry.
