Am supa excited. Still to watch the promo on tv but I feel faint just looking at that blurred unclear link of the promo. Is that Sonarika?? Wow hats off to the makeup team. She looks wow and like Ma Kaali which is fearsome. Loving it.😃

I wish STAR would put as much effort and money/resources into the making of actual episodes that they do in promos. The difference in quality is ridiculous. And this happens for a lot of their programs.

thats beacuse the promo and the episode has a different set of directors and team that puts them together!...
the Veerbhadhra sequence wasnt as bad as the Kaamdev sequence though!the Kaamdev sequence was utterly disappointing!

Yeah I know. Plus they are probably funded better. I'm saying they should use that talent and money/resources to make the actual episodes rather than just the promos.

Oh I loved the music they played in the Veerbhadra promo but was disappointed that it was not included in the episode.. similar thing happened when they showed Mahadev picking up Sati's burning body in promo but not in episode... so I really like this promo as well but am not putting my hopes up for the episode

I really wish they synchronise the two though

Yes that's a curved sword. Here's a fairly close non-Indian example: the Egyptian/Canaanite Khopesh which is sort of a "sickle-sword" that goes back around 5000 years.

Actually, a kharag is a scimitar, which is narrow @ the handle, but gets broader (and heavier) near the edges. A sword is the other way - pretty pointed and sharp near the end, but is firmly attached to the handle.

Mahakali's scimitar is somewhat unique in that it's somewhat straight, and then curves towards the end like a sickle. By contrast, the kharags used by the asuras were usually straight right to the end, or curved throughout, but pretty broad at the end.

A scimitar is itself a type of a sword. There is no one type of sword. Look it up. There are many different types of the weapon.

The scimitar, shamshir, talwar belong in the same group. The Khadag is a bit different.

Precisely why it's closer to the Khopesh.
