li'l bit same here, but to think he actually meant that she was more determined and devoted than sati, like an improved version. She took birth again with a fix goal to achieve mahadev and not repeat the same mistakes. Mahadev saw that and told she was 'bhinna'.

Btw, thanks foram for ur everyday pre-updates. I miss the epis sometimes, ur updates help dear!

And thank u very much for ur grt update minaxi di. U are superduper fast! Wonder how u do it..

Ok, so Vishnu is Parvati's brother in this episode, and her quasi-sautan in his Mohini avatar?

Very well 🤔

Samana, you haven't heard/read the mohini-shiva myth?

Samana & Mira

We discussed this in more detail in the Doubts & Discussions thread. Although Shiva never actually technically married Mohini, in order to kill Mahishi, they did beget a son - Manikanthan/Ayappa, who went on to do just that (Both Lakshmi & Parvati were said to be pretty unhappy during the time that Shiva & Mohini were together). Ayappa is said to visit Kailash to visit his father Shiva, and Vaikuntha to visit his mother Mohini. So yeah, Vishnu and Parvati ain't exactly co-wives, but they are dangerously close. 😆

But while that story has scriptural underpinnings. I doubt that this 'brother-sister' account of Triangular Productions does. So when they produce it, I can't help but contrast that w/ the Parvati-Mohini relationship as well 😆

Mohini's status is somewhat fuzzy - some could claim that she's Vishnu 'himself', since he seemed to randomly assume her form whenever necessary, be it Bhashmasura, the Samudra Manthan or killing Mahishi. In some accounts of Dasha-Avatar, Buddha is excluded from the list (which makes sense), and Mohini is the third avatar - b/w Kurma and Varaha.

Okay so I think the script/dialog writers have been extraordinarily good at keeping to sanskritic words.

But I noticed this slip (Menavati made it a few episodes ago during the multiple shiv-ling episode and today Mahadev said it)

Yaad - Unless I am VERY much mistaken (and I don't think I am), this is a persian word. 😕

the sanskrit word would be smarana and its related forms, smriti etc...

The other day, when Parvati referred to the sting of the scorpion as 'dunk martey', was that exactly as Sanskrit based word? Just didn't sound like it.

"dunk" is probably a corruption of damsha - will check my etymological dictionary - don't have it with me right now

*edited*

btw. "corruption" is not a pejorative term lest someone get offended. It's just linguistics jargon.
