Not to spoil the update, but in today's episode, Himavan, as per last night's precap, asked Parvati to go and serve Mahadev in his cave, since Mahadev was a guest in their kingdom.

Parvati was in the kitchen preparing offerings for him, when Mena came and asked Parvati to accompany her to see the jewelry set aside for her wedding. Instead, Mena asked Jaya & Vijaya to go to Shiva instead.

Later, Himavan after learning all this asked Jaya & Vijaya not to go, and then went to Parvati and expressed his disappointment that she chose to obey her mother by disobeying him.

So question here - was Parvati right to do it? Or should she have told her mom that she had a current order from her father, and until she fulfilled it, she couldn't obey her b'cos obeying her would mean disobeying him?

It just shows how children often get stuck between contradictory instructions of parents. Forget what Parvati might want!

IMO, it's not right of Mena to ask Parvati to set aside something Himavan has asked her to do.

And I'm not saying that just because Mena irritates the life out of me...😡 but seriously, how can she put her own daughter in such a stupid and needless dilemma?! 😕 The service of a guest, that too a guest like Mahadev vs. looking at jewelry?!!!! 😕 Alpa buddhi!

I hope Himanvan puts his foot down and shows Mena who's boss...😆

I seriously can't say cause as parents they both can request things from her. I think she should have told her mom that since she can't disobey her order to go see the jewelry just like that she can't disobey her father when he asked her to cook. Also, she should have said that she can see the jewelry anytime she wants but those people needed to be served to right now. She should have been more firm though it could be my dislike for Mena talking

I too can't say what parvati did was right or wrong.actually maina forced her 2 see da jewellery.Bechari parvati! But parvati also told her dad dat she too has some insecurities and fear abt mahadev so she cldn't go.she didn't wanted 2 hurt mahadev again.she has 2 get rid of those insecurities and fear first.

I voted 'don't know/can't say'.

Mena so forcefully telling her daughter not to do something her father told her to is quite disgusting even by today's standards. She's supposed to be a queen but in this series, she's just a drama queen.

What irked me the most was portraying Parvati so meek and childish. Parvati was the sort of person who was firm, resolute and stood up for what's right - she would have told her mother it was father's orders or told Mena to consult with Himavan and then give a final verdict.

I didn't want to comment so early but Sonarika seems to be way too young or childish to portray the Mother of the Universe. She is very good as a princess but I don't know how she can effectively be Mata Parvati. Maybe its too early even now, let's see.

I think Sonarika as Sati and Mouni as Parvati would have been better.

I luved da bold part.😆
As for sonarika,i feel it's not her fault.it's da cvs who r showing her like dat.i guess once parvati meets mahadev, she will become confident and determined 2 achieve her goal of marrying mahadev.as u said,it's too early 2 judge her.
Btw,ur idea of sonarika playing sati and mouni playing parvati was also not bad too.

Its not about father or mother but its about what is right and what is wrong

Himavan says to parvati that you have to do it as part of athithi dharm. so she is expected to follow that dharm irrespective of her mother's whims and fancies.

actually its mena who should take care of all these things as a queen of the country. but here she objects what is a sahaj dharm of parvati and says she should accompany her to see jewels.

so here parvati is at fault for not being able to judge what is right and what is wrong.

its not the question of mother or father

its the question of right or wrong

Voted Dunno / can't say

People of those days were more sentimental than us ,to talk about self destructive . Its is said -Mata ,Pita Guru and at last only god(shivji😆) , so parvati has no other option , rather than hearing her Mother's plight.

I think Mena just needs a visual demo From Veerabadra ,about how Daksh is beheaded because of Shiv Nindha .😎... thats solves every problem

Kya mena madam demo chayie ?
