Ok,dis is what i truly believe.

My craze for mythos/historical shows began with prithviraj chauhan..n den it never ended..ol d mytho shows dat followed i was ol gaga over dem.(but if i had to choose among ol,PRC wud still b my fav šŸ˜› its sorta my pehla pyaar wid a mytho show u know šŸ˜‰)

I mean, there r way too many saas bahu masala shows dude! The vamp planning to murder the main lead, the countless extra-marital affairs etc etc. 😳

V need more mytho shows!

Mythos have their very own charm.I mean i hav no words to describe how awesome a mytho show is! šŸ˜Ž N saas bahu show toh koi bhi kar sakta hai, doing mythos is a challenge.n i truely believe ki one who can play a mytho character well, can do ANY character well!

So,rite now the mytho show i LOVEEE is obvioulsy devon ke dev mahadev 😃 i love d show n evry1's played their characters very well šŸ‘

So,mytho rules.N all the mytho show lovers,u'll rule too! šŸ˜‰ šŸ‘šŸ¼

Why the small print? šŸ˜†

Actually, it depends on the show, and how well the PH has done. Like AS Ramayan from Sagar Arts was done more or less well, except for the Uttarkand part. OTOH, the 2 Krishna serials - Jai Shri Krishna and Dwarkadheesh - both from Sagar pictures, were poorly researched, and at least, the latter one bombed. Similarly, both the Hanuman serials - Mahavir Hanuman and Jai Jai Jai Bajrangbali did horribly.

In some ways, it's good that DkDM started w/ a clean slate, rather than just copy Om Namah Shivaya, in the way AS Ramayan copied RS Ramayan. However, I'm not too thrilled w/ the liberties they're taking w/ the storyline.

I will say that I prefer the current generation of actors to the ones from the 80s. Same for the special effects, and to a lesser extent, the sets.

AS Ramayan was made well , it had good actors. Even jsk started well. Good actors, good direction but the extended bal leela bored me to tears. Same with dwarkadheesh , i liked the way it started but i gave up on it when they bungled up tulabharam. I was horrified at how they changed the charecters. And satyabhama saying kanha as if she Is yashoda maiyya...lolz intolerable. As for jjjb again extended balleela makes it a bit boring. Ofcourse current direction and special effects are better

i think personally that the first few mythological s made (sorry please forgive i dont know the makers names) were brilliant in content...i remember loving the Sagars Shri Krishna when i was small(i remeber wapnil Joshi playing a teenaged Krishna which one was that?)...i must have been around 2-3 years old,i loved Ramayan too...i loved Dara Singh as Hanuman...my parents used to tell me that at that time people used to stay stuck to thier TVs and not move an inch when those shows were aired, the roads used to be empty
DBSK was a show i once tried to watch and they showed a story i swear i NEVER heard of and it put me off-very poorly executed,JSK started off well but the fact that they let Driti(lil Krishna) do some of the portions meant for a relatively older Krishna, like the Gowardhan sequence didnt make sense to me,they extended the little Krishnas part a bit too much-to such an extent that it annoyed me...The recent Ramayan with Gurmeet and Debina was brilliant too-but ill say because the Ram and Sita were brilliant in thier roles...JJJB too isnt executed well
DKDM may have taken deviations(quite a few of them),but one aspect in which is stands out is the BRILLIANT casting,Mohit is brilliant as Shiva-to be honest ive watched some other shows where they have Shown Shiva-but Mohit is the only one who looks perfect as the role-he has that "tej" required for Mahadev
-it has a brilliant ensemble of actors from Nandi,to Narad to Vishnu to Sati-Daksh-even Himavat(i love the warmth that Pankaj Dheer has but i feel sad that they haven shown much of him)
-Nikhil Sinha i think is a brilliant director he manages to get the best out of every actor
-the set design and animation-except for a few times where the animation went a bit OTT or tacky, the show has had a brilliant production quality,as compared to other Mythological shows
-but one aspect which stands out to me the most-is the awesum music-specially the spiritual songs, one of the Primary reasons i started watching the show-my favorites are Karpur Gauram,Om Namoh Narayana-beautifully put together...every time i hear karpur Gauram or Shiva Shiva (the background for Mahadev) i feel that sense of peace,i have them on my cell and listen to them every single say aleast 10 times!
i wish we did have more mythologicals because they are those shows you can watch with youre family-something you cant honestly do with some of the shows that air these days...
i love Mythologicals...and i am glad that through the medium of Tv we get to learn of our culture!

One thing that struck me - for the kid Parvati, Dhriti Bhatia, who played Krishna in JSK, could have done a cameo there for a handful of episodes.

My JSK Experience scared me that they will do the same and strech on babX Parvait. As for DBSK i can really forgive them for cutting Rukmini out and showing jamwanti during tulabharam.

Nice post i always love mythos for its ,content and information ,But DKDMD is different ,some times i feel its a fairy tale ,where some times i feel its so divine , Probably what Nikilji said that ,this show is based on human side of Shiv . SO Viewers emotion towards it also a mixed kind of gestures. Its addicted me with in few minutes ,credit goes to them .

Well surely all shows have their +ves & -ves.And yes in most shows, der comes a time wen d show mite get a bit boring.Surely.also,yes research matters.

I wud say the best mytho/historical shows hav been the mahabharata (the old chopra one),the ramayana(i liked old one as well as new one..so šŸ˜› ),Krishna(the old one!wid swapnil joshi) Prithviraj Chauhan(dis was very well researched!i rea din soem interview,ki dey had been research on it for 10 yrs 😲n dis continues to b all time fav,so i cant find ne faults, oder dan d fact dat dey replaced Rajat wen d show was goin so very well).Oh i also liked dharamveer(yes im a rajat tokas fan as u can c,so what? 😳.neways,it was purely fictional,so research dint hav much to do wid it,except for d fact dat i think dey used the gypsy thing here n der ).Chandragupta Maurya was pretty gud!(i cant believ d channel s closed now!) n now i think Mahadev is going very well! 😊 mahadev is d only mytho im followin as of now.

And i dunno, for me the sagars r like mytho shows ka kings or somethin šŸ˜›

I hav heard bout oder mythos in zee..but i havent followed dem dat much..so wont comment on dem.

Ofcourse, all shows have to compromise on some true facts to make d show presentable and TRP'S do matter des days..so dey bring soem fiction to d stories..i dont think dey can do much wid regard to dis..as in u know if der r no gud TRP's,d channel mite put an end to d show.so in order to keep the pace of TRP's,some amount of fiction wil b added.
