i think personally that the first few mythological s made (sorry please forgive i dont know the makers names) were brilliant in content...i remember loving the Sagars Shri Krishna when i was small(i remeber wapnil Joshi playing a teenaged Krishna which one was that?)...i must have been around 2-3 years old,i loved Ramayan too...i loved Dara Singh as Hanuman...my parents used to tell me that at that time people used to stay stuck to thier TVs and not move an inch when those shows were aired, the roads used to be empty
DBSK was a show i once tried to watch and they showed a story i swear i NEVER heard of and it put me off-very poorly executed,JSK started off well but the fact that they let Driti(lil Krishna) do some of the portions meant for a relatively older Krishna, like the Gowardhan sequence didnt make sense to me,they extended the little Krishnas part a bit too much-to such an extent that it annoyed me...The recent Ramayan with Gurmeet and Debina was brilliant too-but ill say because the Ram and Sita were brilliant in thier roles...JJJB too isnt executed well
DKDM may have taken deviations(quite a few of them),but one aspect in which is stands out is the BRILLIANT casting,Mohit is brilliant as Shiva-to be honest ive watched some other shows where they have Shown Shiva-but Mohit is the only one who looks perfect as the role-he has that "tej" required for Mahadev
-it has a brilliant ensemble of actors from Nandi,to Narad to Vishnu to Sati-Daksh-even Himavat(i love the warmth that Pankaj Dheer has but i feel sad that they haven shown much of him)
-Nikhil Sinha i think is a brilliant director he manages to get the best out of every actor
-the set design and animation-except for a few times where the animation went a bit OTT or tacky, the show has had a brilliant production quality,as compared to other Mythological shows
-but one aspect which stands out to me the most-is the awesum music-specially the spiritual songs, one of the Primary reasons i started watching the show-my favorites are Karpur Gauram,Om Namoh Narayana-beautifully put together...every time i hear karpur Gauram or Shiva Shiva (the background for Mahadev) i feel that sense of peace,i have them on my cell and listen to them every single say aleast 10 times!
i wish we did have more mythologicals because they are those shows you can watch with youre family-something you cant honestly do with some of the shows that air these days...
i love Mythologicals...and i am glad that through the medium of Tv we get to learn of our culture!
