Is it true that mahadev loved sati more than Parvati even though they were the same soul? Because when sati died, mahadev could go to adi shaktis place and stay with her but he didn't. Who did mahadev loved the most Sati or Parvati?

He loved both of them the same amount cause he was in love with her spirit or atma not her body and both of them had the same spirit or atma. Also, Sati is Parvati and Parvati is Sati. Just because Sati and Parvati had different appearances, they were actually the same person. I think that is where most of the confusion is that since both of them look different, they are different individuals but Sati and Parvati are the same person. Sati just gave up her body which was associated with her father, Daksh and embraced a new one in the form of Parvati. Hope this helps. 😊

But if he loved the soul, adi shakti then when sati died, why didn't he went to adi shakti when sati died and I my friend said the story of Parvati is like, she mediates and then married shiva, not much chemistry like sati.

Please take this doubt out of your mind. Shiv loves Parvati and Sati both equally, as they are both carnations of Adi Shakti- his only love.

It seems u did not watch da initial episodes.earlier shiv and adishakti were one dat's why shiv is called as Ardhnarishwar means half man and half woman bcoz Adishakti was part of him.Jst google Ardhnarishwar and u will find da pics.But later Lord Brahma told Shiv 2 separate frm Adishakti 4 some reason.(dat reason i cldn't understand)Shiv agreed and both,shiv and adishakti got separated.Later Brahma realised his mistake and told adishakti 2 again reunite wid shiv.But adishakti said dat she cannot unite wid shiv bcoz shiv had already done her tyaag but she said dat she will take birth as a human and den marry shiv and stay wid him.Dat's why she had 2 take human births 2 live wid shiv.Hope ur doubt is cleared now.Shiv can't be wid adishakti dat's why she had 2 take births 2 be wid him.

Parvati had a lot of chemistry with Mahadev. Just like with Sati, Mahadev refused to accept Parvati as his wife but unlike Sati who had her father standing in the way, Parvati had no one telling her that she cannot have Mahadev aside from her mom (that' was not much of a pressure as far i know cause she gave in). Parvati was really in love with Mahadev and decided to conquer his ego with her mediation. Sati kept on going back and forth with her dad and Mahadev and eventually chose Mahadev but Parvati never doubted that she was in love with him so she conquered the only thing that was standing in their way, his ego, with her love and devotion. I will repeat this again that Sati and Parvati are the same person.

Even if its d same soul dn 2 while reading d myths i feel sati's charactr is much strong dan dat of goddess parvati as sati had enchantd mahadev by her unbounded love whereas goddess parvati had impresd lord shiva by meditation i.e.tapasya dr evn dis myth dat once lord shiva aftr parvati devi finishd her tapasya had omce rejectd her bcoz she was not extremely beautiful n also dark complexiond unlike d sati whom mahadev fondly addresd as gauri d turmeric hued so did tapaspa again n dn lord brahma gave her vardhan too turn as beautiful as sati was or evn mre dn wen returnd to lord shiva he was mesmerisd lookin at her n dn dey got married.( I am n8 teling dis myself search 4 sati and parvati devi dn u wil find dis story) Personaly i feel dat sati's story is more worth telling dan goddess parvati's.. LOVE MAANEET N MAHADEV- SATI FOREVER...

Siv loves Shakti and hence loved Sati and Parvati equally. This is what I understand of the matter. Correct me if I am wrong. Shiv and Shalti are united in spirit and are called Ardhanarishwar. At the beginning of time for the purpose of creation of nature Shiv and shakti were asked to separate.Shiv and Shakti are the simbol of Purush and Prakriti that is man and nature. While purush has a definite form Prakriti does not. So Shakti is form changing. She is an energy source, a sprit. She does does not have body . So Shiv could not go to Adishakti's place and stay with her because she does not have a definite place and form/ Later Bramha could not bear Shiv's pain and asked Shakti to incarnate as Sati and later as Parvati.

Adi-Shakti means universal energy which is formless...She needs form to get united with Shiv...as per rule,energy can neither be created nor destroyed...it can be changed frm one form to another...same thing happened with Adi-shakti...jaise liquid ko shape dene ke liye sanche ki zarurat hoti hai...soul of Shakti too needed container(read human body here)for uniting with Shiv...which she did...In case of Parvati ...Shiv took extra precautions for making her realize her Adi-shakti form and make her yogya so dat the Distasters which took place previously can grossly be avoided...and heavy penence of Human form can attain divinity..thus Parvati needed to do hard penences so dat she could attain divinity in Human form herself for uniting with Shivji forever...
