What was this Nomination
Somehow, there were quite a few things dissatisfactory about what they showed today.
First of all, when Shiva sent Veerbhadra and Bhadrakali to destroy the yagna, all the action took place @ the yagna itself. Here, they showed first Bhrigu on a battlefield, when in fact, he was adding ghee into the kund out of which hordes were emerging, who just got massacred by Bhadrakali and Veerbhadra. Then today's conversation b/w Vishnu & Daksha was surreal. Even putting aside the question of whether Vishnu had actually promised Daksha his protection, telling him that he'd protect Daksha, but not his life, was meaningless. What did happen was that Vishnu did fight to save Daksha, but got knocked unconscious, after which Veerbhadra was free to slay Daksha. Also, before the killing of Daksha, none of the Devas or Vishnu or Brahma went to Shiva, much less to apologize, until the damage was done. For them, protecting the yagna was the #1 priority, and when Daksha was killed, the reason they went to Shiva was not to apologize, but rather, to plead for Daksha's life to be restored. In this serial, what was disappointing is that they seemed to be whitewashing the role of the Devas and Brahma in this sordid event. And it doesn't even make sense. Wny would Brahma et al go to visit Shiva while Veerbhadra and Bhadrakali were still on the rampage? How was Vishnu suggesting that Shiva go and retrieve Sati's body and give her her funeral going to calm Shiva? And if Vishnu had actually said that, why would he cut off Sati's body while Shiva was doing his tandava w/ it? And how does Shiva go there before Daksha gets killed? Is Veerbhadra/Bhadrakali authorized to get Sati's body back? The precap - if Daksha said 'Om namah Shivaya', at that point, he would have been spared: fact is he didn't. Veerbhadra didn't have the license to forgive him, however, so he beheaded him and tossed his head into the kund. Before that, there was a fierce battle @ the yagna itself b/w the Devas and Ganas, which I hope they show.Final point - I would have liked it had Mouni played Bhadrakali, even though I'm okay w/ a different actress playing Parvati later.

Thanks a lot for the update. I started watching this serial only recently. I'm still trying to catch up with the earlier episodes but am keeping up with the recent ones for now.
I do not know Hindi but I can understand somewhat. The dialogues have a lot of unfamiliar words (for me) but I'm able to make sense. It may be my imagination but I find the dialogues a lot different from other mythological shows.
As for the recent episodes...
😕 😕 😕
I have no idea where all these stories came from. No offense to anyone but I feel they are dragging the series quite a bit.
I really like this serial. The music, the settings, the songs, the aesthetic environment and the actors who have done a wonderful job - hats off to the whole crew.
I feel that they are dragging some bits too much, though I enjoy watching it. Sometimes, it makes me feel that its not Shiva & Sati's story that I'm watching.
I do not know if Daksha was a staunch Vaishnavite as shown. He looks like an Aazhvaar. All the portrayals and drawings/paintings of Daksha I had seen so far was king-like.
The stories I read depict Daksha's anger on Shiva due to Lord Shiva not bowing or paying respects to Daksha in a yagna. Also, I read that Lord Shiva created an army of demons (bhoothaganas, I think) by shaking his hair to aid Veerabhadhra. From what I've read, Veerabhadhra was ordered to ruin Daksha's sacrifice. Nandi, on being insulted by Daksha for having the head of a bull, cursed Daksha that he would bear the head of a goat and then went to Kailash to report the incident. What follows is Veerabhadhra destroying the sacrifice. I am not sure if other Gods aided Daksha or remained neutral.
The other Gods perhaps were obliged to accept an invitation for a Yagna but they had the full freedom to refuse. One version of Skanda Purana says that the Devas were imprisoned and tortured (other Gods driven into hiding) as they attended Daksha's Yagna which insulted Shiva.
