Episode begins with Sati folding her hands and accepting the punishment. She leaves the gathering and heads towards her room.
Daksh announces to the gathering how his decision shows how firm he is about his principles.
Maharishi Kashshyap (one of the Saptarishi) tries to reason out that giving such a severe punishment (of writing Lord Vishnu's name on one lac lotus flowers) is not justified as her intentions were clear.
Maharishi Bhrigu (another Saptarishi), however, calls it justified as it's result was harmful for the beliefs of the kingdom.
Daksh claims that he agrees with both their arguments but he had to show how his rules were equally applicable to everyone.
He summons the sculptor (who'd made the Vishnu idol) and his family.
Daksh's wife-Traswati (Daughter of King Manu, Sati's mother) comes to her husband and tries to show her reason in Sati's action but Daksh is firm.
Sati is in her room and is upset about her actions. Her sisters come to see her. Khyatti (her eldermost sister) scolds her for not apologizing and accepting the punishment she'll never be able to fulfil. Sati, however, states that she can and will do it.
Maharishi Kashyap goes to Maharishi Bhrigu and asks the reason for his worry. Maharishi Bhrigu explains how he's worried about what the future has in store for Sati and Daksh. Maharishi Kashyap asks that the future is certain, so what is there to worry about. Maharishi Bhrigu is worried and says that it is important that the future must change.
