You're all beautiful!!! 😉
2nd Chapter
Myrahs' first thought was to go to Bandra Police Station, where her Father was being held. If anyone had touched him they'd be he'll to pay. The first one on the list would be The Beast Udayveer. Did he own the whole of Bandra because he paid people in authority to carry out his orders?? That's the trouble with living here today- money talks. Otherwise the authorities turns a blind eye or your arrested for causing problems!!
Myrah felt very hungry and thirsty, it felt as though she had been walking for miles. She had taken short-cuts through some woods. The dust and dirt was choking her. She looked down at her once clean clothes. Her pink blouse and black skirt torn , dusty and smelling like a farmyard. The servants at The Devgarh Palace did give her some clothes to wear but she refused to touch them. She needed to have a wash she didn't want her Father to see her in this state. She was getting nearer the City, as she heard traffic noises and market stall holders trying to sell their wares.
Her friend Sanaya lived ten minutes away from the police station, so hopefully she would get something to eat and some clean clothes from her. They had been friends since they were six years old. Sanaya had always been there for Myrah whenever she had something troubling her or just needed somebody to talk to. Sometimes there are issues that you can't talk about with your parents.
As Myrah headed into Bandra Market everyone kept on staring, pointing and whispering. She was aware that wasn't looking her best at present. It was The Beasts' fault. He had put her through this and he was going to pay for it. Then she walked past a Dhaba..She could smell Aloo Parathas and Chana Dal...but she had no money. The television was on a news channel. Devgarh and Udayveer were mentioned briefly. She stopped to listen to the bulletin. She didn't hear very much because they put a picture up of her screen and The Royal Family of Devgarh and The Beast were shown outside the palace. They were looking for her. That didn't come as a surprise; they might get the Indian Army to search for her. Walking away she headed to Sanayas' house. Dodging passers-by and trying to avoid being knocked over by a few cycles and Bulls. Some beggars accosted her, asking for money and food. She managed to get rid of them. Finally she reached her friends' front door and banged it loudly.
Her whole body ached and she hadn't eaten for a while. She tried knocking on the door again. It opened slowly, all of a sudden everything went black in front of her eyes...
'Myrah can you hear me?" She heard someone say. She opened her eyes and found herself lying on a bed. A fan was whirring at the foot of the bed.
"Thank God you're ok Myrah. It was Sanaya. "Here drink some water and I'll get Ma to make something to eat for you."
" Thanks Sanaya." Is all Myrah could muster.
Before she ate, Myrah had a wash and put some clothes from Sanaya. She felt so much better now. All that grime and dirt and everything that had happened to her recently, had been washed away. She was herself again. Myrah the wanna be journalist. Daughter of Murari Lal, a kind gentle father who always wanted the best for his daughter.
The two friends sat down to eat in the dining room. Myrah knew she didn't have much time left. She needed to get her Father from the police station, before The Beast caught up with her again
Sanaya gave Myrah a quizical look, " Is it true that you're the lost heir to the Devgarh throne?"
It seemed that everybody had watched the special news bulletin that day.
"Are you Princess Manyata?, Sanaya asked again.
"No I'm not. It's absolutely not true. I'm not a bloody Princess and I am not marrying that arrogant swine either!"
She snapped..
"Ok ok, I'm sorry Myrah."
"I really need to get dad from the police quickly. He can protect me from that mad dog!"
"I understand you Myrah. I really do but why would Princess Udayveer claim that you are his future wife?"
"That man is deluded. He's an ek number ka goonda. Marry me, no way!". She told Sanaya the whole story of how she was taken away forcefully by The Beast.
She really feared the worst for her father. If he'd been hurt in anyway she was going to break every single bone in his body!
Sanaya gasped, 'But Myrah the news reports said..."
Myrah interrupted her ,"Damn the media. That Beast must've paid them a lot for that! I managed to escape. I don't know the time and I don't even know what day it is Sanaya. All I want is my Father back now. Are you with me?"
"Myrah they are very powerful people. They can do anything". She said hesitantly.
"So what. I don't care!"
"Ok Myrah, I will help you. I'll wait outside for you while you get Uncle ji."
"Thank you Sanaya." Myrah gave her a big hug.
Sanaya cleared the dishes away while Myrah waited in the verandah..
" I'm just going out with Myrah," Sanaya told her Mum who was still in the kitchen.
Sanaya joined Myrah outside the house, "Are you ready?"
Myrah nodded, "As ready as ever. Bye auntiji," she called out to Sanayas' mum. She heard her say goodbye Beti.
Myrah was half running half walking to get to the police station even though it wasn't that far.
Sanaya caught up with her, "Slow down, I can hardly run. I've eaten sooo much today."
"Your're so lucky," Myrah said with sarcasm in her voice.
When they got to the police station, Sanaya turned to Myrah, "Good luck in there".
"Thank you my friend!"
When Myrah got to the desk. There was nobody manning it. Typical she thought. She pressed the bell which was on the table.
A man with glasses and green cap walked over to front. He looked half asleep.
"Can I help you?"
She looked at his name badge. it said Inspector Anil Sharma.
"Yes. Your holding my Father Murari Lal unlawfully. He is innocent of this kidnapping nonsense, and that idiot low-life is mad I tell you." She said in an angry tone.
"Oh I see, the Inspector said. He opened a file on the desk, "So your're Rajkumari Manyata!". He remarked.
"Don't you dare call me that. If my father has been hurt , you're all going to pay for your actions!" She shouted at him.
Myrah had a strange feeling that something wasn't quite right. Why did he call her Rajkumari Manyata? The Beast had probably brainwashed him too. What was the Inspector looking at in that file? She wasn't concerned about now, all she wanted was her father out of this place. They would pack a few belongings from home and they would go to live in a different part of the country. She wasn't sure where, but somewhere remote; where The Beast could use any tracking systems to find her.
She followed Inspector Sharma to the back of the station where all the cell blocks were . All of them were empty, except for one because there was was a shuffling noise coming from it.
'He's in the one at the end', Inspector Sharma told her.
"Please let him go," she turned to the inspector.
" I'm sorry but I am under strict instructions that he cannot be released."
Myrah was getting very upset, "Whose instructions?' She waited for an answer even though she knew it already.
"Prince Udayveer."
" Oh I see. So he's bribed you as well. You can't do this you know. I am going to report you to the Police Commissioner about this!", she shouted at him
She went over to her fathers' cell. They had beaten him up quite badly. The bloody wild animals. How could someone do this to another human being? There is no justice in this country at all.
"Dad what have they done to you, "she said out loud. She put her arms through the bars. He looked up at her with tears in eyes. "I'll get you out of here I promise."
Murari Lal stood up slowly and went over to her. He took both her hands in his. "Beti, I'm not your Father. Your family lives in Devgarh. I stole you from them sixteen years ago. I've been running and hiding from them from them. Now it's too late for me. You are a Princess. You are Princess Manyata the future heir to the Devgarh throne and wife of Prince Udayveer of Jaigarh. You belong to them now." He let go of hands and sat down back on the chair.
Myrah marched back over to the Inspector, "Give me the keys to that cell now. Otherwise I won't be responsible for my actions."
"I can't do that. His Royal Highness gave me orders..."
Myrah didn't let him finish his sentence. That Uday was making his own rules for his own benefit, because that's what people like him do. This made her blood boil. She didn't want to use any violence, but she had no choice.
She launched into a Taekwondo high kick and the inspector fell to the floor with a thud. All those self defence classes were useful after all! A bunch of keys fell out of his right trouser pocket. She picked them up quickly and ran back to the cell. As she was putting the key in the lock, Sanaya came running towards her.
"Myrah, she said breathlessly..He's he's coming. Prince Udayveer is coming here.'
" Oh no. I better be quick," Myrah turned the key and the door swang open. She ran over to her Father and tried to lift him off the chair..
"Sanaya help me please, she called out to her friend but there was no answer. Sanaya have you gone deaf?" There was still no answer from her.
She walked to the front of the cell and looked out, Sanaya wasn't there neither was the Inspector. What was going on? Myrah thought to herself. Someone was playing games with her and it wasn't funny. Why was this happening to her. God was certainly testing her patience today.
She looked back at the man sitting on the chair, "I don't care whether or not your my Father. You have always been there for me. We will get out of here and we will start a new life elsewhere."
Myrah turned around and heard someone coming, "Sanaya is that you?"
Then she heard those familiar footsteps. It was Him. The Beast. He had found her!! There wasn't a taser gun or a lathi she could use to defend herself accept for her martial arts skills. She prayed that Him up there would help her now.
"So my darling Princess we meet again." Udayveer said as he stood in front of her with that smug look on his face. His dark teasing eyes boring into her. She hated him for what he had done to her. She hated him for the way her Father was treated. In fact she hated him for his very existence. His Mother will probably looking down at him with shame. How could someone be so malicious, cruel and conniving?
"Oi, don't take another step towards me. Otherwise I'll break every single bone in your body with my bare hands," Myrah said with menace in her voice.
Princess you know, you are something else. That's what I love about you. You like playing games." He stepped closer towards her, that ugly smirk again forming on his lips. Myrah stepped out of the open cell and found herself backed up against a wall. She looked over to her Father, hoping that he would come to his senses.
"You're the one playing games Mr high and mighty Udayveer Singh of Jaigarh. What did you to Sanaya?"
"Sanaya?", he paused for a moment. Ah yes your best friend since childhood. She left very quickly." He responded rather nonchalantly. He waited for her reaction.
"How much money did you give her to leave me? She asked.
"Money, what money Princess?"
"Now who's playing games. I'm not a fool Udayveer Singh, she spat at him. What happened to Inspector Sharma? I knocked him out. He was the floor right over there". Myrah pointed behind him.
"Manyata sweetheart., " He said amusingly.
"MY NAME IS MYRAH. GOT THAT. MYRAH KUMARI LAL!!!", she yelled at him. And I'm not your bloody sweetheart.
Uday chose to ignore her. When she was angry Manyata looked even more beautiful, just like a Goddess. The fire in her eyes. The passion in her voice. The way she stood her ground. She wasn't afraid of anything or anyone. She had the blood of a warrior princess running through her veins. His Princess.
Myrah felt very uncomfortable in his presence. His eyes bore straight into hers. As if he wanted to gain access to everything that was going on in her head. What made her feel worse was that the purple kurta that Sanaya gave her, was a little tight for her. That lech has seen many women expose their bodies in front of him, one more won't make a difference. At least I've got some clothes on, she thought defiantly.
Uday could not help staring at this stunning girl in front of him. His Manyata. Although she wouldn't accept her true status now, she would realise soon enough. His Princess was made only for him. The top showed off her hour-glass figure perfectly. It clung onto her slim waist and flat stomach. The sweetheart neckline enhanced her ample breasts. The milky-white flesh spilling out over the front. If only she knew what she was doing to him! Uday couldn't wait for the day they officially became husband and wife, as he promised himself he would make love to Manyata in such a way, that she would be burning for him to possess her body again and again. But that seemed an impossible task at the moment.
He remembered the first time he saw her. Ironically he was supposed to be celebrating his engagement to Jai. Unati joined them both at Sugar Rush which was one of his many nightclubs in Mumbai. He was sitting at the bar having a couple of drinks trying to enjoy himself, but he could only think of his Princess. The atmosphere was electric and the music was fabulous. Unati and Jai wanted him to dance with them but he refused. He asked the barman for another vodka and coke. As he swiveled round on the stool to watch the girls, his eyes focused on a young lady who had just come in. She smelt like heaven. She had wavy dark brown with blonde highlights in it. She was wearing a strapless royal blue minidress and silver sandles. She had silver earrings and a bracelet to match. He couldn't take his eyes off her. She went over to the opposite end of the bar and sat next to another girl. He heard her order pineapple juice and samosas. He was taken aback. A modern girl with a sensible attitude. You don't see much of that around here these days. Even though he was going to be married in soon, he was drawn to her aura. If only she would turn around. so he could see her face. The two girls went over to the dance floor. The way she swayed her hips and swang her arms in the air hypnotised him. Her skin so pure and milky white, it seemed to glow under the lights. Then she turned around and Uday was dumbstruck by her beauty. Large brown eyes, high cheekbones, perfect lips and a very cute nose. The makeup she wore enhanced her best features even more. She gave him a dirty look and turned around quickly. Her hair fell to one side then he saw it. He saw the scar on her back. All the childhood memories that he tried to forget came flooding back. His Princess had come back to him.
"Manyata". He muttered to himself.
"Uday, what's wrong?", Unati asked her Brother.
"Choti, I saw her. I saw Manyata dancing right in front of me."
Jai touched Udays' arm, "My sister has been gone for sixteen years now. You should forget about her and focus your attention on me."
Uday ignored Jai, which really miffed her.
"Uday, I think we better go home. You've had a lot to drink tonightc,' Unati told him.
'But Choti," He protested.
"Uday, My future sis-in-law is right. You need an early night. There is so much to do for this wedding. I've got to sort out clothes, shoes, makeup..."
"Yes Jai, all the important things. Right." Unati remarked sarcastically.
That night he kept thinking about the girl he saw in Sugar Rush. He didn't sleep very well. He kept waking up in the middle of the night. He had a couple of glasses of brandy, but he couldn't get her face out of his mind. Manyata was real- there was no mistake about that. He had to find her before he lost his sanity. This was a sign from God that his prayers were finally answered, just has he was about to get married to the wrong sister. The following day Dadisa told him that Manyata and been found. Uday drove to the Devgarh Palace as fast as he could. He was told that she lived in Bandra, Murari Lal was working as a salesman in one of the local shops. Manyata would be on her own at home. This made Uday smile.
When they got to Bandra, Murari Lal was arrested and taken to Bandra station. Uday went with a couple of security guards to where Murari Lal lived. They smashed the door down and searched all the rooms. Uday found Manyata in the kitchen making some food. When she saw him she threw a large glass at his head. He dodged it swiftly..
"Who are you? Get out of here you stalker, before I call my Dad. She shouted at him.
She recognized him from the other night, which was a good sign.
"Murari Lal is in police custody. Your real family are waiting for you at the Palace. I've come to take you home." He said.
"Arrested for kidnapping!. She exclaimed. Palace. What Palace?"
"Your not Muraris' daughter. He answered her . The Devgarh Palace." He said again in a serious tone. This girl was extremely stubborn. Yes there was definitely blue blood in that perfect body he thought. Only for me. As he watched her bosom heaving up and down beneath her low-cut top .
"You're lying to me. Get out of my house. Otherwise I won't regret my actions...Mr!"
Uday stepped closer and looked deep into her eyes, as if he was trying to hypnotize her. That almost worked because she just kept looking at him, her beautiful pink lips slightly apart. Her soft doe-like eyes searching for answers to things that she didn't understand.
He smiled, "So Rajkumari Manyata what will you to your would be husband, Udayveer Singh of Jaigarh?"
Myrah snapped out of her trance, "Husband...shut the hell up you mad idiot!".
She aimed a kick at his stomach and tried to punch his face. He was too quick for her. He seemed to know her every move. Myrah threw a saucepan at him; he stumbled to the floor. She ran past him but Uday grabbed hold of her left leg and held it firmly. Myrah tried to kick him off her, but he was too strong . He raised himself up , grabbed her arms and pulled her flush against his body. She fitted perfectly; the missing part of his life had been found. He was whole again. Obviously a few minor adjustments had to made but that wouldn't be a problem for him.
Uday leaned his head forward towards her and smiled. Myrah twisted her face away, but he forced her to look at him.
"Now that I have found you Princess. I'm not letting you go ever. I'm going to make you mine no matter how long it takes. That's my promise." He told her in a vile manner. Which shook her to her core.
Uday grabbed her hand and dragged her behind him. The security guards were trying to hold back cameramen photographers and newspaper reporters, as the two of them tried to get to his car. After he had spoken to Dadisa, Uday decided that he would hold an official press conference in two days time. He needed to make sure that Manyata was settled in her new surroundings first.
Manyata was muttering the choicest of gaalis, aimed at him obviously. Which he found very amusing! The women he knew never even dared to bad mouth him. Only this girl could, and get away with it too. When he touched her skin, it was soft as silk and she smelt of chocolate and vanilla. He wondered whether she would always be like this when they married, either way he couldn't wait to find out!
Dadisa, Komal Auntie and Brijraj Uncle would finally see some happiness in their lives. Jai was going to be jealous and angry. She was so looking forward to this grand wedding. Uday broke the engagement off when it was announced that Manyata had been found, typical Jai literally tore the palace down!! He only accepted Jais' hand in marriage because everyone had given up on seeing Manyata again, and because both their families were close. It seemed the right thing to do, plus he would get the Devgarh kingdom, as part of his trousseau; which would make him a very powerful man. But now Uday was looking forward to spending the rest of his life with Manyata.
She was only with the family for three days. She seemed to like everyone including his sister, but with Jai it was a different story. Dadisa said it would take a while before the sisters understood each other. Jai was not the centre of attention anymore, now that Manyata had returned but in time she'd get used to having an elder sister around.
Uday knew Manyata very well because their minds worked exactly the same. Uday knew she hated him and whenever they were alone (which was his intention), she said she would get her revenge. When she had runaway, Uday was so angry at himself for not being with her. He started drinking heavily. Everyone reassured him that she would be found. Now they were facing each other once again. A battle of wit and will. Who would score the next point in this round?
Myrah thought I'm not going to let you win. I'm not going be your Wife or your Queen. She was ready to attack him. She was going knock him out cold, with one of her special martial arts moves. What did that man think of himself, Gods' gift to all women? He should get a special award for that title. He'll probably display it with pride in his bedroom, opposite his bed of course. The shameless debauched kamina.
"What are you waiting for Udayveer. I'm going to win this fight. You know that. My advice to you is walk away now and let me get on my life."
"Princess, I will never leave you. This isn't a fight. Your're just being childish. Come home with me please." He held out his hand to her.
"It's not going to happen Jaigarh ka Rajkumar. Not now. Not ever!".
"Ok Devgarh ki Rajkumari," Uday replied. He liked this game of cat and mouse.
Myrah was beginning to lose her patience with this whole situation. He was edging a little closer. There was this wicked glint in eyes and that ugly smirk on his face. She was going to wipe it off his face, when she got her hands on him. She was ready to strike him down.
The Tigress was ready to kill her prey, Uday watched every move that she made. He could see the fire in her eyes, her lips were moist and their was this magical sheen on her skin. She was ready to sink her teeth into his flesh. My Princess you can do what you want to me; but I know you better than you know yourself. I will know when you're ready to strike before you do.
Manyata couldn't understand why The Beast was acting so casually. Had a woman ever hurt him before? Probably not. He was a user. She wondered whether he'd ever had an STD test. That would be another no. When she started to work for the Hindu Times she was going to expose him big time. She narrowed her eyes
at him. This is it Udayveer Singh, once I've finished with you, you will never treat a woman like dirt again!
She lunged forward at grabbed his arm, and locked her leg around his and threw him behind her shoulders. She was quite surprised at her own strength. Before he had a chance to recover, she said 'Jai Mata Di' grabbed his legs and hurled him against a desk. She heard a loud thump. He didn't even cry out in pain. Strange, she thought Was his body made of steel? Well she couldn't pretend that she hadn't noticed how toned his body was underneath his white shirt and black jeans. He had a tattoo on each forearm and one between his right shoulder and neck. Maybe that's what most women and girls found attractive about him. Personally, she couldn't quite see it really.
She walked over to him and put her hands on hips, "Had enough already Prince. Good. That'll teach you not to cross me again. I will always win Prince. Don't forget that. Now I'm taking my father home, you can go back to your huge kingdom and have a nice life with that diva Jai."
As Myrah turn around, Uday pushed himself up from the floor, grabbed her arms and twisted them behind her She winced in pain. He pulled her flush against his chest, so her lips were almost touching his. She tried to pull away, but he gripped her even tighter. He could hear her heart beating against his chest, was it fear or anger he wondered?
"Darling Manyata. He traced the top of his finger down her cheek. She twisted her head away at his touch. He just smiled. I let you think that you were the victor here. But in actual fact I am the Baadshah of winning every game I play. So don't think you can beat me. It's not going to happen. When I take you back home again, I'll make sure you never leave."
Myrahs' arms were beginning to hurt her, "Let me go you bully." She hissed.
He loosened his grip, when Myrah looked at them they were red and swollen. As Uday was straightening his clothes out, she kicked him.
"Look what you just did to me. Your an animal. Is that how you treated all the other women! This is abuse. You havn't got a heart. You're just a cold bitter twisted man who walks over everything and everyone," Myrah ranted.
Uday became very angry at this, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards him, "If you start misbehaving one more time, I'll have to hurt you again!"
Myrah was lost for words. This man only spoke with his fists. That explains why people are so scared of him. She dreaded to think whether his own family was treated so harshly, when he didn't get his own way.
" What are you going to do with my Father?", she questioned him as they headed outside.
"The authorities will see that he gets a suitable punishment. He's already admitted that he is guilty Manyata. Your not his daughter. He's been lying to you for the past sixteen years, now he's going to pay for taking you away from me." Uday said with determined anger.
There was a crowd of people at the front of the station. Most of them were from the media. Cameras were flashing everywhere. Myrah didn't like this at all. She looked around for Sanaya. Where was she? A newspaper reporter was talking to Uday the only words she heard were marriage and queen. We'll see about that Prince. Why are these people so gullible? One of tv reporters asked Myrah about her royal status Uday interrupted and said if they had any questions talk to him. Then she was bundled into a waiting car. It was a foreign import, with a leather interior and was equipped with the latest gadgets. As the car was driving off the crowd dispersed, Myrah looked outside the window and saw a figure running. It was Sanaya. She needed to speak to her.
"Can you stop the car."
"What did you say Princess?"
"Can you stop the car please, Myrah said gritting her teeth, Sanaya .. I need to speak to her."
Uday was still holding her hand, he held it even tighter. "No. We havn't got much time. You can call her from the palace".
"You know what . I don't think you have a heart in that body of yours. You don't care about other people's feelings because you have such a big ego." She yelled at him.
"Princess you shouldn't judge me so harshly. When we're together, you'll find out exactly what type of person I am."
He gave her that smirk again, what she wouldn't do to make it vanish. Now she had to face her 'family' yet again and a new life. Her dream of becoming a journalist had been ruined in just a short space of time because of The Beast!
Udayveer was relieved. Manyata was by his side now. He was going to make sure that she didn't go anywhere or anything unsupervised. Otherwise Unati or he would accompany her. When she left he blamed Jai , but she was in denial. He was always arguing with Choti and he neglected his business affairs. Everyone could see how upset he was, but they couldn't help him.
it was going to be hard work to get the mature Manyata to like him, but he wasn't going to give up without a fight. That was going to be the exciting part for him. If she wanted to play games with him, then he was prepared. After all he was Udayveer Singh of Jaigarh who was always on top. When it came to Manyata he'd make sure she was beneath him, on top; in front and behind him when it came to their marital life!! So Rajkumari Manyata , let's see how hard you play with me!
