the engagement
the night had wrapped the city of delhi in its arms but in the mansion it looked still day time ,colourfull lights filled each corner of the mansion and flowers hung from its world ,all the guest were dancing on the DJ tune ,the servants rushed around with trays of food and drinks ,it was the most awaited party of the year ,the engagement party of MANYATA and AKASH. the boys envied akash as he got hold of the hottest and bestest chick of Delhi and the girls shed tears as there fashion diva was getting engaged ,akash was seated with Tara as his eyes eagerly searched for his lady love ,it had been an hour since he was waiting and his patience were really being tested high by manyata ,she was getting ready and komal was helping her. tara noticed akash worried nature and finally decided to calm him a bit
TARA:akash why are you getting tensed
AKASH:tara it is quarter to 9 but see still she did not come
TARA:yea because she is getting ready na try to understand
AKASH:how much more time does she needs to get ready
TARA:it is one of her biggest day and you know right how concious she is about this marriage thing
AKASH:how can i forget since class five she is planning her marriage and if anything goes wrong she will turn the earth upside down
TARA:so let her take her time
tara could not speak as something else caught her attention and not only her but every body 's eye was hooked on the stair case as like a beautiful angle from heaven she stepped down with her hands in her mom 's arm ,the spot light directly hit her and she glowed in the light ,she looked so beautiful ,her white milky skin started to glow like a crystal while the well fitted red netted sarri with diamond jewels and silver high siletons as she steeped without akash even noticing she stood infront of hima nd his mouth was wide open like a lunatic as she whispered softly
MANYATA;akash i am looking fine na?
a smile plasstered to his face as he complimanted her
AKASH:no princess you are not just FINE but you look marvellous like a true princess
manyata blushed furiously at the mention of princess akash had always lovingly called her princess and she had always loved the name they shared a beautiful eyelock which was soon broken by tara
TARA:jiji you look awesome omg you are soo beautiful if i was a boy i would for sure propose you
both akash and manyata turned and smiled ,manyata pulled her cheeks saying
MANYATA:you look even more beautiful my little sister
AKASH:ladies give your self break princess lets go it time for the rasaam to start ok
MANYATA:yes lets go
both the ladies followed akash as took his seat and manyata sat beside him whole time blushing fluriously by akash intence gaze finally the engagement started as manyata took out a ring and slipped it slowly through manyata 's fingure and now it was his turn he took out a platinum ring with golden lining it was beautiful as he slipped it in her fingure and whispered softly
AKASH:i love you princess
MANYATA:i love you too akash
they lights went dim as the fire crackers bursted in the sir no couple had been as happy as they were ,they were match made in heaven as komal sat beside manyata andhanded her plane tickets
KOMAL:the tickets are ready your flight is tonight
MANYATA;ma you are sure this is the address
AKASH:where are you going princess?
MANYATA:devgarh to my dad i need to invite him for our marriage akash
AKASH:manyata have you gone mad you know how they reacted when you were born right why are you going there huh and aunty komal please stop her
KOMAL:i tried beta but you know she is too stubborn and she is not even letting me accompany her ,she wants to go there all alone
MANYATA;what wrong with you i know my dad 's family is not going accept me but its about my dad ,my dad always accepted me and he has the right to be by my side on the most auspicious day of my life
AKASH:but princess...
MANYATA;no akash please i want to go for atleast once you trust me please let me go
there was an awkward silence which was finally broken by akash
