She saw 'him', his ragged attire, the scratches and cuts on his arms and legs. But couldn't get up from her point as she was frozen. Her mind stopped working. She really had come close to believing that she had lost Uday forever and now he was coming towards her. She blinked to see if he would go away but he was still there.

He came forward and his alabaster face helped her unfreeze.

The two little kids playing nearby giggled as they witnessed Manveer hugging each other and getting lost in the embrace.

Udayveer noticed that Manyata's eyes were red; and she was shivering too. She looked like she would pass out at any moment. He made a silent vow that he would never lose his princess again, they would be together no matter what.

He took her to the sitting area in front of the house and sat her there.

"yeh leejiye, inko paani piladijiye" a small voice said. A small boy of about 4 years held a glass of water in his hand.

Uday took it and made her drink it. After a minute Manyata asked "tum yahan kaise aaye? tumne J se shaadi nahi ki? Maine toh socha ki'."

"Princess, main ek biwi ko toh jhel nahi paata, dusri ko kaise sambhaloonga(I can't handle a single wife, let alone two)?" Uday said in an attempt to lighten her mood.

"Uday, please be serious, tumhe pata kaise chala ki dulhan badal gayi hai? Aur tumhari yeh halat kaise ho gayi? Kisi se ladke aarahe ho?(how did you know that the bride was changed?, and how did all this happen? Did you have a fight?)" Manyata said.

"wait a minute, dulhan badal gayi!! Mujhe toh laga ki sirf dulhe ka kidnap hua hai par yahaan toh'(Bride was changed! I thought groom was kidnapped)" Uday trailed off thinking about it.

"hey bhagwan!!...iska matlab'" both said at the same time.

"iska matlab yeh hai Uday ki do logone chaal chali, aur dono naakamiyab hui, sabse badi baat yeh hai ki hum dono saath hain'nothing else matters(that means, two people played a game and both failed, but what matters is we are together)" Manyata said with a smile.

He smiled back and Manyata's heart stopped. She would go to any lenghts to keep this smile in place.

As the last of the remaining ceremonies started, J counted 1'.2'3 and was about to unveil herself there was a loud clang of glasses and someone shouted.

A waiter had spilled some juice on the groom and the groom was enraged.

"Dekh kar nahi chalte kya tum? Do koudi ke noukar kahin ke" He threw off his head gear in a fit of anger and held the poor waiter by the collar. As the waiter watched helplessly 'the groom' realized he had just revealed himself to the world.

"Akash!!" The word involuntarily escaped out of Jainandini's mouth.

Everything suddenly came to a stand still as they took in what had happened.

"agar dulhe ke bhes(Disguise) me yeh aadmi tha toh phir Yuvraj Udayveer kahan hai?" someone from the audience said.

Everyone went through the second jolt as the bride's veil was lifted.

"J? aap?" Komal could only manage a whisper.

"aisa nahi ho sakta'main zaroor koi bura sapna dekh rahi hoon'yeh aadmi dulhe ke jagah par kya kar raha hai?yeh gadha mera pati nahi ho sakta!! " J wailed.

"beti, ab aap inki patni hain, aap ki shaadi bhale hi galti se hui ho par shaastrokt vidhi (according to holy rituals) se sampann hui hai, toh aap ko inhe sweekar karna hi hoga'yahi sahi hai" the priest interjected.

Akash stood there like a statue and J thought if she had a revolver she would rain all six bullets on his chest now. Husband indeed!

Taking in Udayveer's torn clothes and Manyata's weak state the boy's parents invited Manveer in for a change of clothes and a night's stay till they could be fit enough to go back.

Manveer changed into some comfortable clothes given by the couple and shed their torn and soiled clothes.

Their house was more of a hut than a house but Manveer didn't mind. The little boy stood there watching them; holding his mother's pallu. He looked so cute that Manyata couldn't resist asking "beta, naam kya hai tumhara?

"humara naam Pappu hai, tumhara naam kya hai?" the boy said.

Manyata went ahead and picked him up to give him a cuddle. She really loved children and the boy took an instant liking to her.

The time passed so fast that soon it was night. Uday got to know that the couple were farmers and Pappu was their only son. As Manyata spoke to Pappu in a childish voice, Uday realized he had never seen Manyata like this before. 'she would make a great mother' he thought.

One hour later Manveer slept in open; under the serene moon light holding hands, recounting the days events.

"Uday, yeh jagah kitni pyari hai'dil karta hai yahi reh jaoon hamesha ke liye" Manyata said looking towards the sky.

"ek baat boloon, yeh jagah isliye itni khubsurat hai kyon ki hum dono saath hai'aur paas hain'tumhe nahi lagta?" Uday said.

"sahi kaha tumne Uday, pata nahi J ke woh gunde mujhe kahan le jaarahe the'aur jisne bhi tumhare saath yeh harqat ki hai main pata lagakar rahungi ki woh kaun tha.." said Manyata.

"ab chodo yeh sab, socho chandni raat'yeh suhana mausam..aur yeh hum dono paas paas'maaf karna agar humse koi khata ho gayi toh" Uday said with a twinkle in his eyes.

"shaadi se pehle mujhe haath bhi nahi lagana'samjhe?" Manyata said with fake anger.

"main toh apni biwi ko haath laga raha tha, sochlo.. tumhe zaroorat nahi hai toh main koi aur dhoondloonga, is duniya me ladkiyon ki kami nahi hai" He said with a wink.

"Udayveer ke bachche daal daal ke kachche, khabardar'agar tumne mujhe dhokha diya toh main apni jaan de doongi" Manyata was suddenly serious.

"pagal, hum dono ka rishta aaj kal ka nahi hai jo itni aasani se toot jaaye, tabhi toh itni mushkilon ke bawajood hum saath hain" Uday consoled her and she snuggled onto him for an embrace.
