"toh suno'" she narrated him the entire tale without mincing words.

From the childhood she was her parent's favorite and they pandered her every wish except one. They were strictly against the concept of love marriage and wouldn't let her meet boys. When she turned eighteen last year they dropped a new Bombshell on her saying she was married off when she was three years old.

She begged them to say that it wasn't true. But truth couldn't be denied and there were photos to support the so called wedding. It was indeed a Grand wedding. Her groom was the son of her father's friend. But she didn't remember the wedding at all and obviously refused to accept it. But her parents were so adamant about it and if this went on they might not let her wed any other boy. After her pleadings failed Manyata turned totally rebellious. She would do the exact opposite of what her folks asked her to do. She let go her sweet goody two shoes behavior and turned a total troublesome person and a big head ache to her parents.

Six months back She had met Akash and it seemed he was the open sky filled with sunshine she had been waiting for. He was kinda boring but sweet.

He acted so nice, so good in the beginning at least. There were no restrictions when she was with him. He let her be as she pleased. He was 15 years older than her 19 years. Akash took care of her like a brother almost. Almost because one day out of the blue he proposed marriage to her. As she remembered the day he proposed her, her temper rose. She gritted her teeth remembering it.

They had met in a coffee shop for a date. And as it was a weekend the Cafe was teeming with people. Akash probably thought it would be romantic to stand straight on the table and announce his news to the world.

She was having juice and checking her blackberry when there was suddenly commotion. She looked up from the phone to see Akash standing on table with a Jewel Box in his hand.

As she looked in amazement, he loudly said "MAIN TUMSE BOHOT PYAR KARTA HOON MANYATA, MUJHSE SHAADI KARLO,"

it was so loud that even people sitting in farthest corner of the cafe could hear it. He signalled her to come and share the table. She wished if the earth would open up and swallow her. Yuck! it was so embarassing.

People stared at both of them as if they had grown extra heads. Of course she couldn't say anything to him then and there. She dropped everything and left from there in a Hurry.

Akash misunderstood her again and thought she left because she got shy of answering him.

He followed her to the car park and stopped her before she could drive off. He came and took her hand and said "manyata sharmao mat, tumhe mujhse sharmane ki zaroorat nahi hai, by the way mujhe pata hai tum bhi mujhse pyar karti ho"

"Oh pleazzz!, main! aur sharmaoongi!" thought Manyata and rolled her eyes.

She had planned to say a 'No' to him, but after coming home she had second thoughts about it. 'Think Manyata, think'he is everything your parents detest, if you show them that you found a guy for yourself on all your own, wouldn't it be a good revenge..' she thought. And she ultimately said 'Yes' to him.

Now as she thought about it she realized she hadn't loved him at all. It was only a revolt she had planned against her parents.

She had taken Akash to meet her parents and as expected, they didn't like Akash at all and even advised her to stay away from the likes of him. Thank god she introduced him as just a friend. Otherwise her stern father would have reduced him to pieces then and there for eyeing his daughter.

Of course her current mission in life was to do everything opposite of what they said and she eloped from the house same night.

How could she forget the night, the stormy night when she had knocked on Akash's door. He spoke to her from the door itself. She had come empty handed to him leaving everything behind.

"Manyata, tum is waqt yahan, itni raat ko?" Akash asked her with suspicion.

Ok people this was the second chapter...i know there were too much Majnu moments here...🤢

but i promise next update will be full of Manveer ones ⭐️
