Daadi saab's temper rose suddenly and she could have slapped Manyata if Akash and Veer weren't there.

"yeh kya keh rahi hai aap? Iska matlab Akash jo kehrahe the woh sach tha! Aap iss do kaudi ke ladke ke liye ghar se bhaagi thi? Aap se hume yeh ummeed nahi thi Manyata, aap koi aam ladki nahi hain, Raj kumari hain aap, aur yeh mat bhooliye ki aap kisi ki patni hain(What are you saying? Does it mean what Akash said was true? You eloped with this good for nothing guy? I never expected this from you'You are a princess, how could you forget that you are a married woman)" DS said.

"DS, main aap se haath jodkar vinati karti hoon, please mujhe uss jhooti shaadi ke bandhan me mat bandhiye, haan hoon main Rajkumari'par kya main insaan nahi hoon?'mere dil me armaan nahi hai? Mujhe pyar karne ka haq nahi hai baaki ladkiyon ki tarah? Kyon mujhe koi bhi kadam uthane se pehle dus baar sochna padta hai? Aur yeh Akash jo abhi aap ke saamne mahan ban raha hai aap ko lagta hai ki woh sach keh raha hai? Nahi DS nahi'usne aap se jo kaha sab jhoot tha'isne mujhe apne jaal me phasaya aur jab ye nakamiyab hua toh chala aaya aap ke paas(DS I beg you, please stop tieing me up in that fake marriage, Yes im a princess..but am I not human? Don't I have feelings like everyone else?,what this Akash told you was false, he tried to fleece me but was unsuccessful so he went to you) " Manyata stopped for a moment and continued before anyone could say anything. " DS, jo bhi hua usme Veer ki koi galati nahi hai, main apni marzi se ghar chodkar aayi thi, please aap hume akele chod deejiye, haath jodti hoon aapke(Whatever happened was not Veer's fault, it was my doing, leave us alone please, I beg you)"

While all this was going on no one noticed Veer standing there like a statue. He had gone totally still from shock. Make that two shocks in a single day. First of all Manyata had said she had loved him and not Akash; and now DS said that Manyata is a PRINCESS! Princess!! This was too much for Veer, sure he had called her that just before their almost kiss, but he had never in his dreams imagined she could be a real princess. Why did it feel like betrayal? He didn't understand why he was feeling like a pawn in some chess game.

DS was quiet for some time and Akash was already thinking about spending all the money he was going to extract out of Manyata's family.

"Manyata, hum aap ke faisle ki izzat karte hain'aap ki apni zindagi hai, ise aap hi ko jeena hai'aap yaha reh sakti hain(I respect your decision, after all its your life, fine you can live here)" DS said surprising everyone in the room.

Manyata ran towards DS in happiness and hugged her. she hadn't expected to win so easily. but then DS shook her off and said "chaliye Akash, chalte hain yahan se"

Mrinalini devi left leaving Manyata in a pool of tears. She wiped her tears and noticed Veer had not said a single word since long. 'Poor guy he must be shocked with my 'fake' love confession,' thought Manyata.

"tum itna socho mat, maine jo kaha woh sach nahi tha, main tumse pyar nahi karti, in fact main kisi se pyar nahi karti, pyar se vishwas uth gaya mera..aur-"(Don't take it seriously, what I said was not true, I don't love you, I don't trust that emotion itself) Why did it feel like she was lying to her own self? This was the truth isn't it?

Manyata was interrupted when Veer said "aur kitne jhoot bologi..oh sorry aap aur kitne jhoot bolengi Princess Manyata? Mazaa aata hai na aap ko dilon se khel kar? Aur main paaglon ki tarah soch raha tha ki humare beech'." 'Fool'loser..idiot, Veer's mind was screaming at him'did you really believe she was in love with you!! You are the world's biggest idiot!!(How many more lies are coming up Princess Manyata? Do you enjoy playing with hearts so much! And here I was thinking there's something between us')

"yeh sab mere ghar me rehna, mere haath se khana khana sab khel tha na aapke liye? Maaf keejiye agar aap ki khatirdaari me koi kami reh gayi ho toh" Veer blurted out in Disgust without looking at her.

"Veer, ye kya bol rahe ho tum?" manyata said unbelievingly. She couldn't help wondering where he had learnt to speak in such a high class manner.

"Raj kumari Manyata, aap ne mujh par bada ehsaan kiya sach chupakar, aap ko kya laga ki agar aapne sach bataya toh main aap ki doulat par nazar daaloonga?, aap ki doulat aap ko mubarak ho, aap jaayiye yahan se'mujhe akela chod deejiye(You did a big favor on me by hiding the truth that you were a princess, did you think I'd be behind your money if you said who you really are? No thanks,You can keep your riches, and please leave right now)" Veer said with hands over his eyes.

"Veer tum galat samajh rahe ho'maine tum par kabhi shak nahi kiya'raha sawaal doulat ka mujhe koi doulat nahi chahiye, DS ne bhale hi bol diya ki main azaad hoon apni zindagi jeene ke liye par woh mujhse bohot naraz hai, maine ek jhatke me sab kho diya Veer, sab khodiya..ab tum bhi mera haath chod doge? Mujhe maaf kardo Veer, Maanti hoon maine sach chupakar galat kiya lekin..."(Veer you are highly mistaken, I never doubted you, and the riches I've never asked for DS might have let me free to live my own life but she is angry and so are others, I lost everything! Do I have to lose you too? Yes what I did was wrong but...) Manyata couldn't go on.

Veer's mind was in a total commotion seeing Manyata's condition. One side of his mind, he was continuously feeling betrayed but on the other side his heart was aching for Manyata's pain.

On the way back Akash said to DS, "raj maata yeh kya kiya aapne? Aapne Raj kumari ji ko us ladke ke saath rehne ki permission de di!, achcha theek hai aap ke ghar ka maamla hai'aap ko jo sahi lage'.par mujhe mere paise de deejiye"

"ek rupaye nahi milenge aap ko, Driver gaadi roko" Mrinalini Devi said.

The driver stopped the car and Akash was forced to get down. Before he could as much as ask why, the car sped up leaving behind a cloud of dust. Akash spat out in anger and said aloud "mere saath dhokha kiya..Akash Verma ke saath...nahi chodunga...ek ek ko bhi nahi chodunga!"

They remained in silence for quite long; then Veer raised his head. "main tumhe ek shart par maaf karne ke liye tayyar hoon,"

"Kaisi shart?, batao" Manyata asked in anticipation.

"Tum apne ghar wapas jaogi apne gharwalon ke paas, sabko apne aur Akash ke rishte ka sach bataogi aur apni zindagi naye sire se shuru karogi'" Uff why did it hurt so much to send her away'.why feels like cutting a part of the soul'

"Veer main wapas kaise jaa sakti hoon, sab mujhse naraz honge'gussa karenge..aur sachchayi pata lagte hi, tumhara naam saamne aayega'main nahi chahti ki koi bhi tum par ungli uthaye..tum mere sabse achche dost ho Veer" Manyata again hugged him.

Veer couldn't stop the tears that spilled out thinking this hug could have meant much more but it wasn't.

"Manyata, woh log tumhare apne hain, unhe tumhe daantne ka haq hai'shukar manao ki tumhare paas itne log hain pyar karnewale, fikar karnewale'main toh bachpan me hi'(They are your own, they hold the right to scold you, be thankful that you have such caring people around you, but in my childhood..)" Veer stopped suddenly.

"tum toh bachpan me kya Veer? Batao mujhe?" Manyata asked.

Looked like Veer had let down some guard in front of her which he didn't want to. He began. He explained to her how he had been raised by a childless couple as their own son. He had been found by them at the age of five and had been with them ever since. He was unaware of all these till his foster mother had called him near her death bed and revealed to him in broken whispers. The revelation had broken him completely.

Manyata heard his story and couldn't help shedding a few tears of her own. She agreed to go back but only if Veer agreed to accompany her.

"nahi Manyata, apun nahi chal sakta, woh tera ghar hai tu akeli ja'apun tere saath nahi aasakta(No Manyata, I'm not coming with you, it's your house, you go alone)" The tapori slang was back.

"Veer agar main chali gayi, toh tumhe angrezi koun sikhayega? Tere ande koun phodega? Nahi Veer main nahi jaarahi" why did the thought of living apart from Veer seem such drudgery?

"Tujhe jaana padega Manyata, achcha theek hai apun tere saath aayega, par sirf ghar ke darwaze tak'uske baad do min bhi nahi tehrega apun'samjhi (You have to go Manyata, ok I'm coming with you but only till the door, not a second more I'll stay there)" Veer said.

Manyata didn't know why was she feeling like she was losing something. She felt like she was missing something very obvious. But couldn't put her finger on it.

As they entered the Raj mehel, reporters crowded them like swarm of bees. One of them was saying to the camera "aaj Devgarh ki Rajkumari Newyork se wapas aagayi woh bhi apne pati ke saath(Today Devgarh's princess has returned from Newyork along with her husband)"

"Pati!" Manyata exclaimed. What the hell was happening? Who gave this false information to press!
