Chapter- 9
After the breakfast in both the houses all the youngsters went to the college.
After the classes when Unnati was going Manyata stopped her
Manyata: UNnati I am sorry for what happened yesterday. Main Uday ke baare mein kuch nhi janti toh mujhe koi haq nhi banta use judge karne ka. I am sorry (holding her ears)
Unnati: Dada toh tumhe maaf kar chuke hai toh tum humse kyu maafi maang rh ho?
Manyata:Maine tumhare dada se maangi hai tumse nhi. Aur main janti hun ki tumhe kitna hurt hua hai. Agar koi Vijay Bhai yar dada ko koi aise bolta toh main toh uski taange hi tod deti. Tumne toh fir bhi mujhe baksh diya.
Both of them laugh at this and continue walking towards the auditorium.
Everybody who was a part of the play was present there. Manyata Uday and Karan were playing the leads. J and Unnati were assisting the directers and Vijay and Jaggat were responsible for the lighting and backgroound music respectively.
Teacher: everybody of you has been given some responsibilities and I hope you'll do good. Also all of you have been give the scripts. So shall we start
Uday was preparing his lines on stage and everybody else was backstage.
Manyata: J tu toh keh rhi thi ki Karan koi role nhi kar rha par script mein toh uska naam bhi leads mein hai
J: Haan par woh 2nd lead hai.
Teacher: Hamare baki leads bhi stage par aa jaye zara
Now three of them are on the stage.
Toh reherseal start kare. Aaj humein do scene complete karne hai.
Three of them nod.
The teacher tells them which scene to do and they start
THE SCENE STARTS
Note: Udai is Rahul, Manyata is Simran and Karan is Samar in the play.
Rahul is standing with his friends when Samar comes
Samar: Rahul (and hugs him)
Samar: Can you believe it. Main shadi kar raha hun. Main jo shadi ke naam se bhagta tha woh shaadi kr rha hai. Par kya karu Simran hai hi aisi ladki. Sabse alag. Usne mujhe bhi badal diya. Mujhe pyaar karna sikhaya. Chal woh sab chod yeh le shaadi ka card. I know tujhe card dene ki zaroorat nhi hai par ise formality hi samajh le.
And he leaves from there.
All this while Rahul was standing there with his fistss closed listening to his best buddy about his marriage to the girl HE loved. He had anger all over his face. The only reason he did not beat the shit out of Samar was because he was his best friend and didn't knew about his love for Simran
After Samar leaves Uday signalled his friends to leave. As soon as they left he broke the vase beside him.
SCENE OVER
Teacher: Superb. Ek practice mein hi itna acha kiya hai toh mujhe nhi lagta ki tum logo ko practice ki zaroorat bhi hai.
Everybody laughs at this
Teacher : Ok next shot. Manyata on the stage now. Karan you go back stage.
THE SCENE STARTS
Rahul and Simran are standing in the middle of the stage.
Simran: Kyu bulaya hai tumne mujhe Rahul. Meri shaadi hone wali hai. Agar kisi ne dekh liya toh bahut problem ho jayegi.
Rahul: Maine tumhe yeh poochne ke liye bulaya hai ki yeh shaadi tumhari marzi se toh ho rhi hai na
Simran: Haan yeh shaadi bilkul meri marzi se ho rhi hai. Aur mujhe problem bhi kya hogi. Samar itna acha ladka hai. He is handsome, rich, intelligent aur sabse important baat ki woh mujhse pyaar karta hai. Ek ladki ko aur kya chahiye.
Rahul: Woh tumse pyaar karta hai par tum toh usse pyaar nhi karti na.
Simran: Pyaar ka kya hai shaadi ke baad bhi ho skta hai. Aur main toh kisi se bhi pyaar nhi karti.
Rahul: Toh tum keh rhi ho ki tum mujhse pyaar nhi karti
Simran turns his back to Rahul and says
Simran: Haan nhi karti main tumse pyaar.
Rahul holds her from her shoulder and forces her to look at him and says
Rahul: Toh kyu hamse mooh chipa rhi ho.
Simran frees herself from the eyelock and looks down at the floor
Rahul: Theek Hai. Dekho meri aankho mein aur kaho ki tum humse pyaar nhi krti. Jab bhi hum tumhare kareeb aate hai toh tumhe ajeeb si khushi nhi hoti. Dekho manyata dekho. Look into my eyes and say ki hum tumhare liye koi mayne nhi rakhte. Look into my eyes godammit.
Simran frees herself from Rahul's grip and says looking into his eyes
Simran: Haan haan nhi rakhte tum hare liye koi mayne. Nhi karte hum tumse pyaar. Ab agar tumhe apna jawab mil gaya ho toh humein jana hai.
With this she walks away and Rahul is freezed on that spot.
SCENE OVER
Teacher: Amazing. What chemistry guys. Chalo aaj ke liye itna hi. We'll continue tomorrow.
Now Manyata and Uday are standing face to face on the stage.
Manyata: Acting toh kamaal ki karte ho tum. Ek minute ke liye toh mujhe laga ki it was for real.
Uday: Tum bhi kuch kam nhi ho. Actress kyu nhi ban jaati.
Manyata: Waise yeh sahi hai. Hum dono actors ban jaate hai. Hum dono ki jodi itni sahi hai ki saari films hit jayengi.
Both laugh at this.
While Maanyata wonders why she said the jodi thing in the first place and Uday thinks that finally Manyata is acknowledging them as a couple so what if in a blabber.
Uday: Waise hum Yuvraaj Udayveer Singh hi theek hai. Agar hum hum na hote toh hamari shaadi tumse kaise hoti.
He gives her a wink and walkes away.
Manyata was standing there with her mouth open.
