Chapter 2 : Mansi in the rajmahal

Mansi gets out of the car when Uday opens the door and looks at the mahal with a shocked expression.

Mansi: Arrey where have you brought me? This looks like some palace.

Uday: Dont ask too many questions. Coz you are anyway not going to get the answers.

Mansi : Urrrghh I hate you. You are the biggest jerk i have ever met. First you kidnap me, then bring me to a palace and expect me to come where ever you take me as if I'm ur possession

Uday : As of now I'm not sure but soon you might become my possession. (Saying this he winks at her)

Mansi stares at him and Uday smirks at her expressions

Mansi: Till now i had a doubt but now am definitely sure you are mad or u r a pshyo who kidnaps girls.

Uday: You are calling me a psycho but you dont protest. Forget protesting or screaming you dont even look scared. You are acting as if you have come on an outing to visit this palace. And you are calling me mad. Okay now shut up and wait here. Dont think you can run away or escape.

Saying this uday calls the gaurds and asks them to make sure Mansi stays here. Uday rushes to meet

Daadi Saa. On the way he sees komal aunty and takes her blessings.

Komal looks sad and uday noticing this asks her : Aunty komal what happen, are you fine?

Komal : Haan beta I'm fine.

Uday: Aunty you know you cant lie to me then why are you trying. You call me you son and you dont share anything with me. Am offended aunty.

Komal : Arey beta aisa baat nahi hai.. Today is Manyata's birthday. Bas unki bahut yaad aa rahi hai.

Uday : Dont worry Aunty ham sab milke unko bahut jald doond lenge. Tharasal abhi hame izajat deeji hame Daadi sa se milna hai.

Komal : Zarror beta woh apne study mein hai. Jaake mil leejiye

Uday (thinks) Kitna ajeeb baat hai na.. Today is Manyata's birthday and I meet Mansi on the same day and notice her scar. Now she is in the mahal. Aunty komal hame lag raha hai ki shayad yahi ham sabki Manyata hai. But still I dont want to tell everyone and give them false hopes. What if she is not Manyata then you will be more upset than you are now. So please forgive me for not informing you now.

Uday goes to the study and discusses about his suspicions about Mansi with DS. DS gets emotional but soon calms down and asks Uday to bring the girl inside.

Uday gets Mansi to DS's study. DS seeing Mansi and calls her Manyata.

Uday gets shocked.

Mansi : Ab aap kaun ho jo muje kisi aur naam se pukar rahe ho. I am Mansi

DS (wonders how she has lost her composure) : Haan Mansi jab uday ne hame naam bataya shayad hamne naam teekse suna nahi tha.

Mansi : Who tho teeki hai par ye tho batayiye ki muje yahan kyon laya gaya hai.

DS (thinks) she has to be my grand daughter definitely. Even in such a situation I cant see a speck of fear in her face or eyes.

Thinking this DS says : We need to meet your father.

Mansi: What rubbish? First you kidnap me and now you are saying you want to meet my father. What exactly are your plans?

DS: Dekiye beta in case I want to I can do anything with you right now but I am interested in that. And tell me what can I do to your father who is a watchman. We need to meet him to see whether it is possible to settle some old scores. And we can even provide him a job if you wish. Now that I heard from Uday that you are studying here and your brother also lives here, why wouldn't it be a good idea for your father also to move to Mumbai and stay with you.

Mansi: Why are you interested in all this? Why do you care if my father comes here and stays with me or stays wherever he wishes. Yes am not as old as you are but am not dumb enough to follow whatever you say without thinking.

DS: Looks like you wouldn't follow us then we might have to force you. So do you want us to call your dad and tell him that if he doesn't turn up we might kill you. Will he be happy hearing that?

Mansi stand there dumbfounded wondering whether she had heard what the lady said rightly

DS continue : So Mansi I leave the choice to you. Either you call your father and tell him to come to a place for which I'll give you the address so that he can find a job over here and settle. Or we call him and tell him about what we are going to do with you. Because if we want to we can get him anyway. It is just that we don't want to create a scene out of it. And want things to go smoothly.

Mansi: I will call him.

DS: Good, you seem to understand fast enough. Now Uday give her your phone and also tell her what exactly she has to mention while speaking with her father.

Uday gives her the address which is quite far away form the palace so that Murari doesn't get doubtful

Murari who was at present working in Badlapur, a town near Mumbai hearing his daughter's worried voice wonders what is exactly wrong. He knows that it is not possible for her to call him saying she has found him a job on the very fisrt day of reaching the city, yet here she was telling him that a job is waiting for him in a house, and she also told him that she will be meeting him there. He knew something was wrong and wanted to ensure that his Mansi is safe so he tells her he will be reaching the place in around 3 or 4 hours.

DS makes Masni sit in the study and leaves after informing the guards to give her something to drink and make sure she doesn't leave. She asks Uday to follow her.

Mansi sitting there is really confused about what is happening.

Mansi POV: She has been kidnapped and they are doing anything with her and they know her father is poor but they still call him here saying they will get him a job. These people look decent and seem to be extremely rich. But what do they want from her. Anyway it is just a few hours of wait I'll get to know everything after papa comes here.

Back to DS and Uday

Uday: DS what do you think is this the same Murari, the Murari Lal who kidnapped Manyata?

DS : My intutions tell me she is Manyata but we will have to wait for few more hours to see if this is actually true. Anyway we have to be very quick n making th arrangements. We hardly have any time left. We have to ensure that everything is in place before Murari reaches the other estate. I do not want to take any risks this time. He has been escaping us for the past 14 years. But looks like fate wont allow him to do so this time. Kitna ajeeb baat hai na. Shayad hame hamari Manyata uski birthday par hi milee hai. We have to go there before Murari reaches beta. You take Mansi and go there first. I will come after an hour. I have informed the police they will be there. Anyway now I have a meeting with the Commissioner regarding security issues. I'll also put a word regarding this issue also during the meeting so that they do not take it lightly.

Uday: Haan DS main abhi Mansi ko lekar wahan pohuntha hoon

DS : Beta be with her always. We cant lose her anymore.

Uday: Ds aap befikar rahiye. Ham hai na.

Soon Uday takes Mansi and leaves to the thane estate.

Mansi was really quiet in the car.

Uday: Kya ho gaya ab chup kaise ho gayi. Non stop badbadathee rahti thee.

Mansi just glares at him

Uday (smirks) : Ab gussa kyon ho rahi hai? Anyway we are going to meet your dad now. So everything will become clear.

Mansi: Haan mein tho bhooligayi abhi meri birthday party ke liye tho jaa rahe haina, muje kidnap thodi na kiya gaya hai. Mein hi paagalo ki tharah gussa ho rahi hoon.

Uday (smirks again): Sarcasm uh princess?

He thinks we might even be having a party but that will be in the evening after we meet Murari and make sure he is safe behind the bars.

Mansi: Kitne baar kehna padega. I am not any princess.

Uday (thinks) pehli baar tho galti se nikal gayi thee princess par abhi toh hame yakeen hai ki aap hamare hee princess hain.. Aaaj thak aise kisi bee situation nahi thee jaha DS ki intuitions galat nikala.

Uday: I will call you princess from now on. What will you do? Haan??

Mansi gets really irritated now : Get lost, guess I should just stop thinking for another few hours. Wish there was a button for that. I am definitely going to go mad thinking what exactly is happening.

Uday (chuckles) : Princess you look too cute when you are irritated.

They reach the estate and wait for Murari and DS

After sometime

Mansi runs to Murari and hugs him.

Murari: Kya huwa beta? pareshan lag rahi hai.

Before Mansi could answer Daadi sahib and Uday enter the place and Murari gets the shock of his life.

DS : kya huwa Murari Lal bahut dar gaye shayad. Pakda jaane ka dar hai kya.

Mansi looks confused.

Mansi: Papa kya aap pehle se inko jante the?

Murari doesn't answer.

DS calls the police and asks them to arrest him. Soon he is arrested and taken away leaving Mansi shaken.

DS : Uday beta Manyata ko lekar mahal aayiye. Hame sabko batana hai ki Manyata mil gayi. Pehle hame Komal ko batana hai. Unko ye baat sunkar bahut sukoon milega.

Mansi : Will you just shut up. What the bloody hell is going on. I was silent when you kidnapped me, I was silent when you brought me here. But really why did you have to get my father arrested. What did he do to you guys. I never thought I would be the reason for my fathers misery. You lied cheated me saying that you were going to get him a job. I never thought you guys were so downtrodden.

DS : Bas bahut hogaya Manyata!!

Mansi: Pehli baat main Mansi hoon Manyata nahi. Aur doosi baa tab main chup kaise rahoon. Just put yourself in my position and see before you think I am wrong in shouting.

DS : Manyata hee apka asli naam hai. Aura b aapko apne asli gar aane ka time ho gaya. Aaaj aapka janam dhin hai. Janam dhin mubakarak ho beta. Wish you a very happy birthday my child.

Mansi: Haan aaj mera birthday hai. But how do you know. Anyway I am not Manyata and my home is in banaras. Leave me, I beg you. And also ask the police to release my father. I will never cross your line again. And I am really sorry for breaking the glass of uday's car. I don't know whether someone can actually go to this extent for just a car.

DS: Murari Lal aapka pitha nahi hai. He was the one who kidnapped you 16 years before. You were asking him whether he knew us earlier. He wasn't able to answer you because saying that would reveal that you are not his daughter.

Mansi: What crap are you saying. I thought you were a wise old lady. Looks like even you are like Uday.

DS: Okay you need not agree now. Let us do the DNA test and if the results are not true I will leave you. See Mansi why don't you understand. Today is your birthday. Let us go to the mahal and celebrate.

Mansi: Pata nahi kya bakwas kar rahe hain.. And Celebrate?? Celebrate what?? The happiness of getting my father arrested. Aur haan muje koi DNA test nahi karna. Muje bas apne paapa ke paas jana hai.

DS: Manyata maine socha ki tum samajdhar ho.. Dekho hamne tumhare paapa ko isliye arrest karvaya kyon ki usne tumhe humse itne saalon se dhor raka hai.. Agar yakeen nahi hai toh ham Murari se he jakar baat karten hain

Mansi : Haan mujhe paapa se milna hai. Please take me to him.
