It depends on the perception of people... what kind of roles they want to see or they adapt too..
It has got nothing to do with Uday because who could relate/ connect with Saahil are connecting with him irrespective of being Uday's fans too... but people who don't have that kind of mindset+ likeability for saas bahu background stuff then it won't be easy for those fans to accept such kind of a role.

Its not Uday who is keeping people back or hindering them from moving forward as people who connect with the character of Saahil will watch him irrespective of the fact that he played UDAY. Its the mindset/ mentality + style of the people.

Plus I also feel the PH is not properly executing the story/ developing it... I know its about 'Marriage' but why the hurry??... they are here to stay na... so why not slowly develop the characters and make the public fall for them instead of rushing to marriage?😕😕

well i want to give an example here. Vivian dsena played a role of vampy in pkyek. It was a sort of bad boy role. right now he's playing Rk even the role isn't vamps but it has similarity with his former role nd that's why it's appreciated well. But in Ak that's not the case. Fans need time to accept sahil

he does suit grey shaded roles , but they fit in the villain category, it was only in dek where they made it into a positive role, but feel if akash was essayed by a better actor with a mass apppael say karan wahi , uv would have reamined negative
i do not think overly grey shades like rk of madhubala appeal to may for a long tome, as evident from the falling trps

@Manv: I can say the same with IPKKND. It isn't leading the TRP charts but it is the MOST popular show and has the most fans worldwide and the lead, ASR is a grey shaded character who has hurt Khushi multiple times but people still like him!

u know even i like vivien , but i do not think his role is liked by many ( non vivien fans)
it is too violent, if the serial works he will be typecast, bu doubt such voileent unrealistic roles work for indian audience

Can you picture Abhishek Rawat as Uday and AK as Akash? I don't think anyone can. Just the same, most AK fans can't picture AK in a lover boy role. Barun can't be pictured as Majnu nor can Gurmeet be!
Plus, he should've given it at least a month or more before he steps out in a new character because we can't picture him NOT being someone who has no grey shade. And given the fact that LMYAM replaced DEK is more upsetting.

Not every role is suited for every character. I personally can't see Priyal as a villain! Where as I can't see Abhaas(from IPKKND) being a good guy!

Another factor I've seen is people like Sahil but not Sahil and Shivani together! AK and Rishika aren't meant to be together. Can you see Manyata with Vijay or Khushi with Shyam? 😆 It's not meant to be. They are two different poles. You can't picture eating a Jalebi with Aloo ka parantha, right? Just the same with AK and Rishika (no offense to the actors).

it was UV char which gave him big success ..how can people picture him in just 2 days time gap with another role...it should be given some time gap its UV still not out of picture...
plus even i'm ctahing up scenes of saahil just for AK bcoz i'm trying really hard when i see i always think why even damn watching this...i know watching for AK ...but its a torcher doing to myself wasting my time when there is nothing in the show itself...even the ghispita story is same .. i watch this another show which i find leads i find them average but the story has this hold... but here the new show its non ...the couple is also not some super good looking.. its really like no match thought opp. AK is a guy i even found the girl better in yeh rishta opp him...after seen this new chick...

but his character is believable, and he is not a bad man
the same problem will arise for barun too, in his movie or the new serial
feel gurmeet was lucky in that respect, but he too is essaying a role of a father of a six yr old , not teenager young mans role( as he is really young yoo only 28, too young to have a 6 yr old boy)
