She loved rains and went for a walk in the garden of her house . It was a full moon night and cool breeze was making the night more beautiful for a walk .She sat on the swing and admired the moon . She looked at it till the clouds covered the whole of the sky . After a few minutes she closed her eyes and enjoyed the cool breeze.

~Flashback~

Manyata came out of the college building . It was late night and the weather was cloudy . She slowly went towards the parking area enjoying the weather to her fullest . She was walking to her car when she heard a car coming towards her . She turned towards a voice and saw a car coming towards her direction .

She closed her eyes and waited for whatever was to happen but felt someone pull her aside instead . She looked up and opened her eyes . It was him . She felt relieved seeing him there. He was always there for her and always helped her . She hugged him tightly as if she would never let him go .

Manyata "Uday . Thank god you are here . I was so scared...as if"

Uday " no manyata. Dont say anything else . Nothing can happen to you till i am here ."

Manyata " Then promise me you will never leave me "

Uday looked at her innocent face and said " promise . I would never leave you manyata " They both got lost into each others eyes as it started raining . Both unconscious about what was happening there or about the time . Uday broke the eyelock as his mobile rang . It was his fathers call .

Uday "ya dad im coming home . No nothing happened to me im fine . Bye "

Manyata looked at him and asked " Uday what were you doing here when your classes were over at afternoon today ?"

Uday "to meet you . Anyways lets go . I'll drop you home . "

Manyata "but uday what about my car ? "

Uday " you can take it back tomorrow . I'll pick you up tomorrow morning "

Manyata blushed a bit as they both went to his car ...

~flashback over ~

She opened her eyes and saw that it was raining already and she was totally soaked in water . She went inside and headed towards her room . As she was walking Jay happened to pass from there...

Jay " jiji ? What happened ? What were you doing out there at such late hour ?"

Manyata " ohh jay you scared me . Nothing i was just sitting at the swing "

Jay "okk . You didnt miss your dinner again right ? "

Manyata "umm no " she lied

Jay " okk then . Goodnight n don't catch a cold now "

Manyata "goodnight . I wont " she smiled a bit and turned around

Jay felt happy seeing her smile and went to her room satisfied . Manyata turned around and made sure that jay had gone . She was sad after remembering everything again . She stopped thinking and went to her room . She changed her wet clothes and lied on her bed and took out her diary . She had a habit of writing a diary since class 7 .

Dear diary ,

Today was a typical day . As you know we had holidays for a week and tomorrow is the last one . Today i sneaked in my old room again and went throgh some of my pics but jay caught me .She must be sad seeing me like this and so today i have decided i will change ...for her and for my family .From today i would wear a mask over my face . I know i can never stay happy without him and neither can i stop remembering my past but i'll try to atleast show that im happy for my family .

Goodnight .

She closed her diary and slipped into the blanket . 'Why uday ? Why did you break your promise ? Why did you leave me when i needed you ? Why can't i forget you like you seem to have done ?'

She wiped her tears , took a long breath and closed her eyes . She saw her family's happiness during the past and the sadness her family was going through now because of her . She opened her eyes and stopped thinking . It was all too much for her . She got up and washed her face and then again came and lied down . She switched off the alarm and closed her eyes to enter a world of beautiful dreams...the only place where she wasnt sad ...

______The next day______

She woke up as the sun rays entered through the window . She got up and stretched her arms and sat with her eyes closed for sometime .

Life was confusing now . Once she was a cheerful and bubbly girl who was always playing pranks with her friends and now she was always sad and crying waiting for him . She opened her diary and read the last paragraph which she had written the other day again .

She kept the diary aside after reading it and went for a quick bath . She chose an anarkali suit instead of casuals for that day and decided to have breakfast with her family . Since some months she was having her meals alone in her room because of depression . As she got ready she applied some lip gloss instead of heavy make up and tried faking a smile . Then she took a long breath and made her way towards the table .

As she went to the dining table , everyone became happy seeing her .

DS "good morning beta"

Manyata "goodmorning DS"

As jay saw her she went and hugged her sister . She looked overjoyed seeing here there .

Jay "good morning jiji"

Manyata "good morning"

Jay "jiji i was thinking...lets go shopping today"

Manyata "no jay...actually...i have to go out with college friends " she lied to her .

Jay "okk then we will go tomorrow"

Manyata smiled a bit and then went towards the seat between jay's and vijay's .

Vijay "manyata bhai . Welcome back . We really missed you "

Manyata smiled "thank u vijay bhai "

They started eating their breakfast . Komal could still see the emptiness in Manyata's eyes and she knew that she was doing this for her family . They ate silently for the rest of the time .

After breakfast manyata went to her room and called Meera . Meera was her best friend sicne school . She knew everything about Manyata and Manyata knew everything about her . They both were like sisters and had an unbreakable bond between them betwwen which no one was ever able to come . Except Meera , Samir was also a school friend of Manyata . He was rather Udays best friend . He thought he knew him pretty well but a few months before he was left thinking if he even knew that person . He had then started staying with Manyata trying to bring her out of her depression with the help of Meera .

She starts blabbering as soon as meera picks up the phone

Manyata "hello meera i want your help . Its really important . Lets go out for a movie today . Ask arjun too ."

Meera gets confused "stop yar . Why are you speaking so fast . Im not goin anywhere . "

Manyata " ohh ya sorry . Actually..." she tells everything to meera who gets happy to see that her friend was progressing at last .

They decide to go for a sad movie xyz and go in the afternoon

Manyata and Meera meet at the entrance of the mall and look out for sameer . Sameer as usual was flirting with girl who looked of their age only . Meera went to him angrily and pulled his ear.

Meera "tum kabhi nahi sudhroge naa ?" Sameer made a puupy face and Meera smiled looking at him. Manyata giggled looking at them and then her mind again startted wondering off to uday . She slapped her forehead angrily 'stop it manyata . Stop thinking about him . Dont let him destroy you . ' she thought and again started looking for meera . She saw her pulling sameer towards her n giggled again .

Sameer "hii manu "

Manyata "hey sami "

He looks at her smiling and gets happy .

Sameer "lets go now . Else we will be late...and the blame will be on me "

Meera " cause it is your fault . Who told you to flirt with her ?"

Sameer looks down and then at manyata making a face asking her to help . Manyata understands ...

Manyata "uhh Meera chill now . Lets go . Dont want to miss the movie na ?"

Meera nods and they go inside . They enjoy the movie a lot . It was a very sad one but the only good one available that time . They all got out in a sad mood . It was nearly night so they decided to have dinner there . They had their dinner and went outside .

It was again stormy and was about to rain . Manyata felt like walking to home .

Manyata "meera , sami you both go in car . I'll go myself ."

Meera and sameer looked at each other

Sameer "No manyata . We can't let you go home alone that to at this hour "

Meera "ya manyata , sami is right . Come on we wont let you go alone ."

Manyata "ok then..."

Manyata's home came first so they dropped her and went to meera's house next . Manyata pretended to go inside her house as the other two waited for her to go inside . She waldked inside the gate and waved a bye . They waved her back and drove away slowly .

Manyata stood there for some seconds and then went for a walk . She wanted to go somewhere...where she sould stay alone . She went to the nearby park . It was a very beautiful one . There was green grass everywhere , small bridges and a pond with fishes was made there too . It was looking beautiful as manyata walked in the park alone...no one at sight...this was what she really needed , sometime alone to think about whatever was happening . She needed to progress and forget about him .

She walked ...confused and lonely...and stared singing...

She wanted uday to be there with her...though she herself was confused if she really knew him or not . Tears slipped from her eyes unknowingly as she again thought of him . He was the one with whom she had truly fallen in love with

She closed her eyes...wanted to feel him...wanted to see and be with him once...everything seemed soo empty...without him

She closed her eyes and opened again...thinking that he will come...to rescue her...yes she was truly and madly in love with him and couldn't live without him...she wanted to hold him, be with him...and never let him go away ever...
Oh why is everything so confusing
Maybe I'm just out of my mind

she closed her eyes and let her emotions take over her...she sat on the wet ground...confused...

She got lost in her thoughts...in her beautiful dreams...which in a few seconds turned into nightmares
