Present:
The moment Uday entered his penthouse suite, he went straight to his room and crashed on his bed. As soon as he closed his eyes, a thousand thoughts invaded his mind.
Did that really just happen? No way, I must be dreaming. But damn, what a lovely dream it was. Uday dude stop behaving like a teenage girl. It happened for real. Wow it happened for real. But what the hell is happening to me? Why am I acting like this was my first time or something? Would she be feeling the same way too? Hell yeah she would! I'm Yuvraaj Udayveer Singh afterall. No girl can resist my charms.
Uday got up from his bed, grabbed a towel, and headed towards the bathroom for a quick shower. But mainly because he needed some time alone. Time to think about the recent events that took place. Or maybe just one that happened an hour ago. The cold water droplets were falling on his bare body but turned warm the moment they touched his perfectly chiseled chest due to the heat emitting from it. It was the summer of July, but the weather had no contribution at all in the warmth that his body was experiencing. For the first time in years, he liked the way his body was reacting. It wasn't the usual cliched butterflies in the stomach feeling. It was much stronger than that. His thoughts automatically took a U-turn and stopped to the events that took place an hour ago. He ran a hand through his wet hair and his face instantly glowed with a smile. A genuine smile that he gave for the first time after his Mother had passed away. He never thought he'd actually smile again. He didn't have any reason to. Or so he thought.

1 hour ago:
"Gosh this is so boring" , complained Manyata pacing back and forth in her room dressed in jeans and a long beautiful white top.
"What's boring?" , asked Vijay who just entered her room and was amused to see his sister's antics.
"Why so restless Manyata Bhai?" , he added.
"Vijay Bhai thank God you came. I am so bored. I thought being a Yuvraani would be fun. But honestly I just feel punching someone right now because I am getting extremely frustrated. Yahan to kuch kernay ko hai he nahin. Kaisa fazool Mahal hai yeh?" , replied an annoyed Manyata.
"Woah woah relax Manyata Bhai. Tum aaj achanak Rajkumari Manyata se dobara Chalwkumari Moniya kaisay ban gai?" , joked Vijay.
"Vijay Bhai apko mazak sooj raha hai. Yahan mera bore ho ho kay bura haal ho raha hai. Poora din ghar man pari rehti hoon" , said Manyata with a pout.
"Toh kisne kaha tumse ghar main paray rehnay ko? Go on. Have fun. Come on go out" , smiled Vijay.
"Go out? Where? I still have no clue about what kind of a place Mumbai is. And you expect me to "have fun" , and that too alone?" , replied Manyata, getting annoyed again.
"You can always go out with me!"
Manyata turned around, obviously annoyed at who the intruder was, but she froze in her steps the moment she saw the handsome face of Uday who was standing at the entrance of her room with his back leaning against the door looking like a million bucks in a black buttoned down shirt. Gosh he's perfect. Oh my God not again Manyata. She kept on staring at him wide eyed with her mouth slightly open. This did not go unnoticed by both Vijay and Uday who just stood there smirking at her.
"Ahem ahem. Manyata Bhai" , Vijay nudged her with his elbow.
"Huh? Oh hi Uday" , replied Manyata when she finally got back to her senses and realized that she had been staring at Uday for way too long than normal. A light blush appeared on her cheeks due to the embarrassment that she just got herself into.
"Hi Uday? You have never greeted me with so much respect before. Kahin hum sapna toh nahin dekh rahay?" , replied Uday, pretending to be shocked, but smirked again later.
"Halkata veday, can't you knock? Were you eavesdropping?" , asked Manyata.
"If I had knocked before entering, I wouldn't have had the same effect of my presence on you that I just witnessed a moment ago. Now who would want to miss something like that?" , winked Uday who was extremely happy to see that he affected Manyata to such an extent.
Manyata who thought that no one had noticed her openly drooling on Uday was caught off guard with that statement and tried hard to suppress the blush that was creeping up on her cheeks but failed miserably since she herself could feel the crimson color they were turning to. So her best option at that time was to admire the floor beneath her since she was too scared to look up at him.
"Hamain kuch kaam yaad agaya hai. I'll leave now. You guys have fun" , Vijay instantly decided to leave, sensing the heat between the two people in the room and thought that it would be better to give them some privacy. On his way out, he couldn't help but give Uday an "all the best" smirk. Once Vijay left, Uday walked towards where Manyata was standing, still looking at the floor, and decided to break the silence.
"So, did my Princess miss me?" , asked Uday holding her hand. Manyata who was too shy to look at him finally lifted her face.
"Where the hell were you? Pata hai main kitna bore ho rahi thi. Yahan to kuch kernay ko hai he nahin. Uper se tum pata nahin kahan marray hue thay" , replied Manyata, obviously trying to change the topic. But failing again.
"Hmm, sounds like you did miss me afterall" , answered Uday with a wink.
"Woh main...woh...woh" , stammered Manyata.
"Oho Princess, ab kia sharmana? Ab to hamaray beech main sab kuch theek hogaya hai na. To phir?
Manyata couldn't help but blush at his statement.
"Woah Princess. Aren't you blushing a little too much today?" , asked Uday caressing her cheeks with his finger tips that made Manyata shiver with the sensational feeling of electrical currents travelling through her entire body. He couldn't help but smile at her innocence. Even after having confessed her love for him a week ago, she still behaved like she just met him or something.
"Stop it Uday" , replied Manyata with a shy smile.
"Stop what? Abhi tak to hamne kuch kiya he nahin Princess" , whispered Uday in her ear and at the same time, encircled his arms around her waist. This sudden gesture left Manyata wide-eyed and shocked. But she couldn't deny the fact that she was enjoying this close proximity. Even the distance of a few inches between them seemed like miles for her. Yes, she had fallen in love with him, deeply, madly and unconditionally, but she was still not used to the fact that her and Uday were in an officially committed relationship with each other now. All these sudden feelings evoking in her were still pretty new for her. Uday was the guy she once hated the most, and now he's the person she loves the most. Getting used to that fact was quite a surprising experience for her since the intensity of her feelings for him just kept on increasing with every passing second, if that's even possible. Every time she met Uday, she experienced a new side to him. He was her best friend, her ultimate support system, her guide, her Knight in shining armor. She found all these things in one guy and she still couldn't believe her luck.
"Will you stop daydreaming about me when I'm standing right here infront of you?" , chuckled Uday.
"Oh my God. You are so full of yourself" , replied Manyata trying to hide her actual reaction.
"Lie to me all you want Princess, but you and I both know how badly I affect you" , replied Uday with an I-know-it-all look further annoying Manyata who was trying hard to get herself out from his grip now.
"Uday chorro na please. Dekho koi ajaiga. Please let me go" , pleaded Manyata like a child begging for her favorite lollipop.
"To dekhnay do. Trust me Princess, sab hamain aisay dekh ker bahut khush hongay" , smirked Uday.
"Hawww Uday tum kitne besharam ho. Hatto, janay do" , said Manyata who finally succeeded in getting herself free from his grip.
"Acha yeh sab chorro. Tell me, why were you were getting bored?" , asked Uday.
"I don't know what to do Uday. I haven't even been handed over my Yuvraani duties properly yet so I have absolutely nothing at all to do and you know how fast I get bored right? And you're busy with your work too so I have no clue as to what I should do except to sulk in some corner of the Palace" , replied Manyata.
"Bas itni si baat. Let's go out today. You and me. What say?" , asked Uday, smiling at his own idea.
"Really?" , answered a delighted Manyata. Uday nodded in a yes and the moment he did, Manyata ran to him and hugged him tightly, knocking the air out of him. But he returned the hug with equal enthusiasm. Having Manyata in his arms was something he had been dreaming of since a really long time. And now finally when the moment was here, his happiness had no bounds at all. He was loving the warmth of her body on his. The feeling was unexplainable. He never wanted to let go and could've held on to her like that for the rest of his existence. But Manyata just had to ruin it for him when moments later, she broke the hug, and flashed a beautiful smile at him.
"Thank you thank you thank you meray halkat veday" , replied Manyata pulling his cheeks.
"Or, I have a better option" , said Uday with a mischievous grin.
"What?" , asked Manyata eagerly.
"Let's just stay in this room all day" , suggested Uday advancing towards her.
"W-w-why?" , hesitated Manyata.
"Do you really want me to answer that, or did you already get the hint?" , replied Uday, still advancing towards her. With everystep that he took towards her, Manyata took two steps back. She was so lost pondering over his words that she didn't realize when her back had hit the wall and she could not move further backwards. Within seconds, Uday had trapped her between him and the wall by placing his hands on both her sides and passed her a victory smirk.
"U-Uday please let me go. Koi ajaega"
"Nahin"
"Dekho Uday, zidd mat karo. Please"
"No Manyata. Not today"
"But Ud'"
"Ssshh" , Uday did not let her complete her sentence and hushed her by placing his finger on her lips and Manyata was instantly silent. She could sense his eyes getting darker and blazing with love and want. He wanted her but not by forcing her or making her do something that she wouldn't do unless they were married. But the touch of her lips on his finger was making his body react in a very different way. The blood was pumping faster in his veins and he could feel the same sensations in Manyata's body too since their bodies were crushed against each others. He started tracing her lower lip with his thumb, deep in thought, smudging a bit of her lip gloss in the process. Manyata's heart beats were getting faster and Uday could feel her heart pumping through their chests.
"Have you ever kissed someone before?" , asked Uday in a husky voice, still tracing her lips.
"N-n-no" . stammered Manyata.
"Good" , replied Uday, and without further ado, he leaned in and connected his lips with hers.

This kiss was nothing compared to any previous moment in my life. It was a kiss of affection and deep passion. igniting from both of our hearts and coursing through both of our lips causing an electrical surge. It was a moment of pure bliss. Something I have never felt before. I have kissed way to many girls before but I have never felt the same way with them like I feel with Manyata. Maybe because I love her? When our lips locked the future flashed before my eyes. We were going to be happy. This feeling is impeccable. I could fall in love with her over and over again for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. Her lips were so soft. For a moment I thought if I was kissing a feather. And they tasted like strawberries. That was maybe the flavor of her lip gloss. Good choice Manyata. Wow. I never thought I'd ever like strawberries so much. From today onwards, strawberries are Yuvraaj Udayveer Singh's favorite fruit. God what am I thinking? Who says a person stops thinking about everything else during a kiss, I sure as hell have a lot of things bombarding my mind right now. I made my grip tighter around her waist and pulled her closer, deepening the kiss. There was a moment of hesitation I must confess, because I feared that I might be getting too hard on her delicate body, but I could feel her smile through our lips, and to my surprise, she returned the kiss with equal enthusiasm and passion as she wrapped her hands around my neck and her fingers started playing with my hair. And now I have no clue to where my hands are and what they are doing, but whatever it is, Manyata seems to be enjoying it. Her hair smells so good. But what is the scent coming off from them? Oh great, strawberries again. Mental Note: I have to ask Manyata why she likes strawberries so much. I guess it's time for all other thoughts to be thrown outside the window now and just live in this moment as long as it lasts.

As soon as I saw him leaning in, my eyes automatically closed. And when his lips finally touched mine, it was magical. I have no other word to describe this feeling. He continued to kiss me and I had no clue if I was doing it right. If this turns out to be the wrong way, he'll sure as hell break up with me right now. His lips were smooth and pressed tightly against mine, as if he expected this kiss to be our last and wanted to savor it for eternity. But I feel great. I feel like I am walking on air. I mean, I could die right now and be fine with it. I'd be fine, as long as I was kissing him. He continued deepening the kiss and I couldn't help but smile. Here I am, kissing a man like there's no tomorrow, whom I once hated from the core of my heart. Destiny does make you fall hard on your face doesn't it? So where do I put my hands? On his neck? On his back? Maybe in my pockets? Speaking of which, where are HIS hands? Oh wow they are traveling up and down my back. Every time he touches me, my body starts to shiver like someone just passed a current through it or something. The scent of his aftershave was driving me crazy. I was getting dizzy. My legs had turned to jelly and so I decided to cling on to his neck for support. I could feel our bodies getting warmer and I was going out of breath. But I didn't want to stop, because he didn't want to stop either. We and our egos, always battling, even during times like these. I felt something inside me change during this moment, maybe forever. This new feeling could be dwelled upon later, because, for now, I was content to feel his breath come and go with mine.

Uday and Manyata both broke the kiss at the same time since they were completely out of breath now, but were still holding on to each other. They stared at each other for what could have been eternity, only to be brought back to reality by the sudden knock on the door. The realized their position and instantly moved back. Manyata went to open the door, and there stood her Mother smiling at her.
"Manyata beta, get ready fast. We have to go and shop for your wedding. There isn't much time left" , chirped Komal, who was ecstatic about her eldest daughter's wedding finally happening with her beloved Udayveer.
"Jee Maa" , replied Manyata.
"Arrey Uday beta, aap kab aye?" , asked Komal when she noticed Uday in the room.
"Bas abhi thori dair pehlay he Aunty Komal" , Uday came forward and took her blessings. Uday was still lost thinking about the kiss that happened just moments ago. And a single glance at Manyata told him that she too was thinking the same. He recalled the touch of her lips, their warmth, their taste'.
"Uday beta, aap kuch lengay?" , asked Komal. Uday was still lost in his own world and without thinking he replied,
"Strawberries" . Oh shit. What did I just say? On realizing his mistake and the look of utter confusion on Komal's face, Uday quickly changed his statement.
"I-I mean nothing Aunty Komal, I just had some strawberries so I'm good. Thanks for asking" , replied Uday flashing a mischievous grin at Manyata when he mentioned "strawberries" , hoping that she'd get the hint, which she quite obviously did. Manyata turned an even brighter shade of red on realizing what Uday had just hinted at and decided to leave with Komal as soon as possible before her Mother notices her bulshing like an idiot.
"Maa I think we should leave now. It's getting late" , said Manyata. Uday couldn't help but smile at her.
"Yes you are right. Uday beta, I will see you later. Take care of yourself" , Komal patted on his cheek and left, taking Manyata along. On reaching the door, Manyata turned around to look at Uday who stood there smiling at her. She smiled back shyly and left.

Present:
Uday came out of the shower still smiling while recalling the past hour's incidents. He grabbed a shirt and trousers and got dressed and sat on his couch.
"Dada, you're back finally. What's up?" , asked Unnati, entering his room with a bowl of, Holy crap. This cannot be happening. Strawberries?
"Dada? Dada?" , asked Unnati snapping her fingers infront of him.
"Huh? Sorry you were saying something?"
"Never mind. You seem busy. I'll come back later"
"Yeah okay"
"Oh I almost forgot to ask. Would you like to have some strawberries?" , Unnati offered holding out the bowl near his face.
If my sweet little sister knew what goes on in her brother's mind on the mere mention of strawberries, she'd disown me.
"Dada, where are you lost?" , asked Unnati, confused at her brother's antics.
"Umm no thanks Unnati" , replied Uday.
Never am I going to be able to look at strawberries the same way again!
