Chapter 12
The wedding bells ringing in the household were like death bells to him. Everyone around him seem to be merrymaking and the occasion was his ,but just the bride had changed. He had longed for this moment from a long time. He had dreamt of holding her hand and leading her up to the mandap to take those seven eternal vows of life that would bind them together forever. There was no Manyata here to walk beside him today.
They were never going to live their dream and the more he thought about it the more his heart ached. He sat in the mandap waiting for the meaningless rituals to begin as Jaynanadini descended the beautiful bride-to-be that she was. Finally her dream was coming true and there was no Manyata there to stop it from happenening. She made her way to the mandap glowing as the pandit started the rituals.
Uday decided that he had had enough. Though Manayata had abandoned him and left him alone like that fighting a losing battle of love and life he would move on. But he would never stop loving her, because loving her would always remind her of the pain that she had left him in and gone away from his life.
Meanwhile Tara and Manyata decided to work together in Tara's dad's fashion label. Manyata decided that she would begin to live life again and never think about her past,but how could she ever forget him. No she would never, she would always love him and deep withen her heart she knew he would too, no matter what fate had kept in store for them, but would he ever forgive her for what she had done?
She knew he would never forget her for leaving him alone, but what could she have done? Didn't her duties and responsibilities as a Yuvraani come first??? How could she be so selfish and think about herself??
The pandit asked Udayveer to put sindoor in the bride's maang and so he did vowing never to love again. He put the mangalsutra around her neck vowing never to trust again. He would become his old self again and that's how he would punish Manyata for deserting him. He would become the Yuvraaj Udayveer Singh again. The wedding concluded, Uday and Jay were declared man and wife.
After the wedding Uday drove away to his hotel leaving Jay behind and there was a rapid murmur among the people...'The groom had deserted his new wife and taken off' Jaynandini stood purple with rage humiliated to the core. She didn't show anything on her face though.
She asked the driver to leave her at his hotel. Though there was anger simmering withen her she decided she would let off steam not by words but by actions tonight in bed. And she thought about it she glowered from withen. She pushed open his door and was in for the shock of her life when she saw him in bed with another woman. The smile that had been lingering on her face sometime back faded away immediately.
They were so much lost in what seemed to be the peak of passion that they didn't notice Jay at all. It was only after they had finshed that she saw Jay standing at the door. She nudged Uday and motioned towards her. Uday looked up at Jay and didn't look remorseful at all. 'Ah! Its you don't you know that you should knock before coming into someone's room' Jay was shaking with rage now! 'Get out of this room you bitch' she scream at the woman on Uday's bed.
The woman looked offended and Uday motioned her to leave but not before wrapping her in a passionate kiss and smirked to see the shocked expression on Jay's face. The woman wore her things hurriedly and got out of the room eyeing Jay and thinking what a weird woman she was.
'What the hell do you think you were doing with her?' Jay demanded to know mad with rage. So the little bitch was angry. 'Just having some fun baby' Uday said with his signature smirk and he got out of bed his seminaked form magnificiantly radiating in the dim light, to pour himself a drink. Jay could not bear it at all. She had never imagined he would do such a thing on their wedding night.
"But what about us?" she asked shamelessly. "What about it?" Uday asked innocently shrugging his shoulder coldness eveident in every syllable of the words he spoke . "The wedding night?'' Jay said stupidly. "Oh about that! Well I already had mine and now I am too tired so if you will excuse me"...he said setting down the glass on the table and walking past her into his bed. As he switched off the light Jay was left in standing in darkness, humiliated and mutilated. This was not how she had planned things would be. No never! She had never imagined he would turn tables on her like this.
In the morning Jay woke up in pain as she looked around the room trying to figure out where she was. Her joints were aching from sleeping on the hard couch the bed before her was empty. She remembered that she was in Uday's hotel and that they were married. That also reminded her off last night's events. She clenched her fist in anger at the reminiscence. Uday wasn't in the room, so she wondered where he was?
She decided to take a bath and freshen up then she'd go back home and bring along a few more of her clothes. As the hot water gushed down her svelte body she thought about Uday. She had wanted to make last night so special and he had gone along deriving pleasure from some wayward woman while his own wife was craving for him. No she couldent let things get cold between them, she had to make it steamy, and she was sure he'd come along someday. After all men were the same.
What she didn't realise that Uday had already committed himself to Manyata and it wasn't lust but pure divine love that existed between them. Something that she could never break even with her most raunchiest acts.
