Part 11

Manyata and Tara arrived at the airport and Tara's father had sent them a car. Manyata subduedly got into the car while Tara strode over to give the driver some instructions. It was a similar car to the one she had drove in for the first time a few months ago. She remembered that day very well. The memory clearly etched in her mind.

She was screaming shreaking and struggling to get away from the stranger's grip while he was all the more holding onto her hand tightly smirking slightly. How she detested his cool smirking attitude and he blood had boiled to unknown limits. She didn't even know him and here he was taking her by force calling her a princess.

Princess her foot she was Moniya a chawl girl and not some dainty touchy Princess Manyata. How she had hated him despised his force. She had even bitten him, but an adamant and determined royal that he was he hadn't let go...

"Manyata..." her name being called brought her back to reality. Tara had got into the seat beside her and was now speaking to her. "Your ready to go?" Manyata nodded forcing a smile as the car drove out of the airport. She stared out of the window as the car sped on.

The sky was beginning to darken and very soon it would start raining. Before she could bat an eyelid the sky thundered and lightning struck across the sky, when the rain pelted hard against her window. The first rain had hit the city.

Meanwhile at the Devgarh palace wedding preparations had started and Jaynandidni was getting ready in her room. She stood admiring herself in her pink bathrobe when Udayveer burst into the room. Jaynandidni smiled to herself when she saw him and said,

"Hi Uday nice to see you here but don't you know according to customs we aren't supposed to meet until the wedding" and she turned to turn around but Uday spun her round jostled her hard. Jay was shocked as she stared into his angry eyes. "We are never getting married you get that, I am not buying this piece of shit". " "What you are calling shit is your own baby that's in my stomach right now" Jay retorted back.

"Shut up! You are a lying bitch" Uday thundered. Jay was glowering now she somehow had to convince him he couldent back off from the marriage now. No she wouldent let such a thing happen after working so hard for it. She was going to make him hers forever and he could not stop that. Jaynandini scream at his face "You never said that when you got me pregnant???"

Uday looked right across her and said "I never got u pregnant, you get that? How on earth are you even supposed to get pregnant when i didn't even sleep with you" he barked.

Jaynandini then cooked up the perfect story...

"So you don't remember? How could you after that day's fight with Manayata JiJi you came home drunk"

Uday's thoughts ran back to the day when he and Manyata had fought. They were attending the wedding of the King of Raigarh. He could not exactly remember why they had fought but had indeed returned home drunk.

"You sought solace in me...and then that night..." she said and started sobbing.

Uday couldent believe that could he have been so drunk to have slept with Jay?? He burst out of the door. Jaynandini smirked and wiped off her tears. These were the easy weapons that always worked when everything failed.

Thank God for the story that she had suddenly thought off. Uday would definitely never come to know off the truth that nothing had actually happened between them because Manyata had intervened and had drove her off and then had put off a drunk Uday to sleep.

Now he was definitely hers. Noone could stop the wedding now. Noone. And she laughed aloud like the evil witch in those fairy tales.

Uday was on his way outside when he overheard Maharani Komal discussing with Maharaj Brijraaj about their family's reputation being spoiled if the news about Jaynanadini being pregnant before marriage leaked out.

Maharaj assured her that Udayveer wouldent ever let that happen. Udayveer clenched his fist in frustration as he thought about his duty and Manyata's face reflected before him. She wouldent ever want such a thing to happen to her family and he loved her so much that he wouldent ever want her to be hurt.

He was bound to moral duties and responsibilities. His head hung low and tears dripped down his eyes as he thought about Manyata and their love. He was dead today truly and she had taken his soul with her and left a lifeless body behind.

As the wedding hour drew nearer everyone was busy in the last minute activities. Everyone except Vijay and Unnati. They wondered how could one get so selfish and forget their eldest daughter completely and immerse in the happiness of their evil bitchy daughter's forceful wedding.

Jaynandini had also invited Jagat for the wedding, He did come but not to celebrate but share in the grief of the departed princess. He felt really terrible for Udayveer and cursed Jaynandini and pitied Manyata deeply.

Unnati was happy to see him atleast he was there in their grief unlike the other selfish people around her. And secretely far away from the eyes of the selfish and cruel world love blossomed between the two. In this hour of tragedy and trouble he stood by her as a rock and she felt that there was maybe a little ray of hope left in her life and wished that her Dada too could feel the same way as her again.
