Designer/stylist Jaya Anand's BBM says "All the hard work pays off tonight…", and I can't stop wondering…! And then it is all quite clear :)
These days, the favouritest show for teens and kids is "Dekha Ek Khwaab" on Sony; and the fairy tale story gets a magical twist as the "commoner" gets a dream makeover, finally transforming her into the Princess that she is.
Actress Priyal Gor, who plays Princess Manyata, has been looking all pretty and cutesy since the show began, even in her common, plain salwar-kurtas, will now she gets a divine wardrobe…fit for a modern princess…thanks to Jaya's relentless efforts for the many weeks gone by.
"Since the story is based on royalty and regal lifestyle, I had to be careful while picking the fabrics and patterns, and had to think about how exactly a royal of today would dress up," informs a visibly excited Jaya.
She has used lots of velvet, silks and other pure fabrics for the show, given the regal texture of the whole look. "You will also see that I have played around mostly with colors like royal blue, bottle green, deep red, magenta pink and others," she informs.
Apart from newbies like Priyal Gor and Ashish Kapoor, Jaya also had the privilege to dress up veteran Arun Irani, who plays the Queen mother. "But the newcomers and the experienced ones, all were a great team and the playful work atmosphere reflects in my work and their looks," she beams.
Jaya seems all excited about how manages to style the remainder of the show. But I am all geared up to watch tonight's special episode at 8:30 on Sony! Can't wait to see how the common girl gets a royal makeover :) :)
