manyata's character is so flawed that in respect to that Uday come's off clean as a white starched shirt. He has his flaws but he never hides them. He plays politics, but most of them is for the betterment of the jaigad estate. He has learnt right at the start that to get something he has to sacrifice something - mostly himself. If for some unknown reason J would have managed to become the yuvrani then Uday would have married her inspite of desperately loving manyata - not because he would get something in return - but simply because it would be the best thinng for the jaigad estate. There would have been no tantrums, no daggabazi, no narey, just plain and simple 'yes dad, ill marry her.'He would sacrifice his own happiness for that of his family. The depth with which the CV's have created his character, the many layers that his charcter portrays is just unbelievable. He is a friend, a lover, a son, a brother, and also a formidable enemy, an antagonist, a protagonist, a hero, a villain, an opportunist and a politician. And yet, you fall in love with him.
In contrast, I have never seen the CV's developin akash's character and I myself have wondered regarding the role he plays in this entire drama. He is too dull to be an antagonist and too weak to be a protagonist. He is a true friend, but the depth of his friendship has never been tested. He is a true lover, but then most of the time you fail to understand what exactly he loves in moniya - her bubbly nature and her vivaciousness? if that is the case, the love is too superficial, - or her conniving and sly mind which will use the other person as per her needs? I mosly think he doesnt know her well enough to know that. As for moniya, I think the most she loves in akash is that he never presents a challenge to her. He is non-comittal, boring, the type of guy she can mold to the way she thinks. He will never say no to her and that is what she loves the most about him.
All in all, i think Uday steals the show, he is the soul of the show up until this point. Although what i think is, this is the time, they will show the character developement in manyata that will enable her to be an able maharani. and i think uday will help her to do so. although it would be in a way that she wouldnt understand. But then again, with the supposed return of akash, i have no idea where this show is going. I am confused and my brain goes haywire when i try to put a logical conclusion to all this.
thanks for the awsome post.
P.S: I stiill donot think it is priyal gor's fault. It is the charcater that is immature and flawed. amd the reason we dont see her showing a softness when she is with the chawl people and akash is because i dont think she really has any left. But she is too stubborn to admit it. That is the way her character is. Stubborn and spoilt and unwilling to accept what is right in front of her face.

it's hard to point out the exact points i agree with since most things have been so well expressed. :) loved your post shri, and the then shal1983's comment was great too!

i think priyal fluctuates in acting, and sometimes her moments are brilliant and sometimes she can seem to fall flat if the CVs have her acting like a brat right after a great moment. nonetheless, i feel like her role isn't really the best to showcase her abilities since the CVs seem like creating and upholding such multi-dimensional characters like UVeer, DS, and Giriraj a lot. think about it - they have never wavered from their intended character sketches for these three. they have always molded these characters to be transparent in the sense that we are aware of their layers.

anyway, i highlighted your "snake in the bed" part, shri, since i was first under the impression that M was created to change UVeer .. to make him a better person. now, instead, M has been someone that unlocked UVeer's closet of emotions but now is someone who UVeer needs to make a more mature and well-rounded person. while UVeer is totally selfless in terms of Jaigarh, M is not the same for Devgarh. countless times, i feel like people have to make her aware that she is a princess and what she does have repercussions due to the amount of power she holds.

i would also like them to bring a track once this ManVeer car starts on the road where M can observe UVeer. Where M can see how her own peers handle their responsibilities and learn to respect why certain rajneeti happens the way it does. sometimes, concerning princess-hood, i view M as Sandra Bullocks in Miss. Congeniality. Gracie Lou Freebush thought all pageant queens were bimbos until she entered the pageant, got to know her peers, and understood their difficulties. she came to she what made them human and not just figures.

i would like to see this all-rounded understanding of her position in society being shown in the future

100% correct.
if i were to deal with a character like manyata in reality, i would find it really hard. her sense of right and wrong are very badly misplaced. uday's reaction to manyata is quite natural. infact a few episodes back in one particular scene i felt ashish did a very fine job as uday. we could make out the pain in his expressions even when he was being rude to manyata. more like "i love u so much that it hurt me that ur not mine and hurts me that am being rude to u"
uday and unnati play their part very well.
wish some one better was playing the role of manyata.

Holy Macro!!!😲😲😲
what the hell...what are these crazy discussions and horrible destructive comments.
People, can we all take a step back for just a tiny second. This is simply a show which is produced for entertainment. The majority of us watching this show spend the whole day working very hard or studing or assuming family responsibilites. This show is a welcome break form reality.
There really is no need to attack the show so badly and even worse to attack and destroy the self confidence of very young actors that obviously need to develop their acting skills...and i mean obviously becasue of their young age.
Furthermore, can we all just take a minute to breathe and remember that these actors do no write the scripts, and on that same note, CV's is working within a budget as these soaps do not generate millions of dollars for them.
May I add, that we should just sit back and enjoy the ride of the show; but mostly anyone who wants to criticize the show in such a destructive manner, should really get out of this ride.
HONESTLY, JUST STOP WATCHING THE SHOW...THE REST OF US WANT TO ENJOY THE EASY ENTERTAINMENT WHICH IT PROVIDES.
Wow people, hoenstly I'm in shock at this topic😲😲😲
