Its very rare to experience something of that sort in real life. To meet a person or to have a person in your life whose love and devotion to you is above your faults , beyond the definitions of real and surreal. A bond which is peculiarly , uncannily familiar as though that person has been with you even before your memory gates opened. That person can be anyone - your father , your mother , your BFF, your sibling , your soulmate , your child or a beautiful stranger who is in your life for a short visit but imprints himself/herself forever in your life.
This is what i recalled - a precious surreal relationship - when Maanyata ran straight into UV's arms after she won the competition. There was DS, there was her whole family, there was Vijay Bhai , there was the Rajpurohit and his men. But all she saw was UV - but was it UV? Just UV? No. She saw her friend-philosopher-guide. She saw her mentor , her counselor , her hope , her strength and her promise of a beautiful tomorrow. The man whom she has hated and loved in her own twisted way. The man whose finger she held and whose shoulder she clung onto , knowingly or unknowingly when life slapped her in the face. The man who was her shadow and is her guiding light. In those few seconds , all that gratitude , the triggered emotions that she feels for him came running to the surface because she knew that she has reached till here because UV's hand never left hers and his arm is on her back. She embraced UV because he knows that he is the genesis of her fairytale, he is the nurturer of Princess Maanyata. She embraced him because he had embraced her when nobody else had.
That was the beauty of that moment and its saddening that UV doesn't feel that Maanyata's affection , attachment and her embracing of him is real enough. He wasn't sure if he should hug her back. Imagine, UV getting shocked on the woman of his dreams hugging him. Understandable. He is hopeful of marrying her , sure of loving her but his mind really doesn't venture much into the shaky path of hoping that she will love him back.
So, does Maanyata love UV? In her own twisted way , she always has. Something that J saw, DS saw, Komal saw, Giri saw , Aakash saw long ago. And today, Unnati saw it too and how. The question is that when and how will Maanyta be hit with the reality that she can't even lift a spoon without looking at UV for approval - and its not because he is her mentor. Its much more. When she hugged him, she was happy and she was at home. If only she knew that much.
