HI ALL,
I am a silent reader of this DEK Forum and VERY Loyal fan to DEK. I just wanted to share my POV because there seems to be a lot of negative backlash against this show which I wish to clear up =)
I know everything has not played out as expected, BUT if anything the CVs have always given us hints, as well as twitter updates telling us the truth (EVEN if some don't believe it, and here is how..) SO HERE GOES...š
1. We were told Manveer was the main lead couple by everyone involved with DEK through twitter. Why we still have debates/arguments that Manveer will never happen, I don't understand because it makes complete sense that they will. SA saying that Akash appeals to rural audiences is only an excuse to give us, so that we will get off her back.
BUT GUYS, Akash is there to make the Manveer track intense!!! If we didn't have that annoying Akash, the Manveer track would never have been as awesome or intense!!! Their arguments were because of Akash since Manyata loved him which is why she was NEVER interested in Uday. We like to complain that Monash don't have sacha pyar, but the thing is that infatuation is what will and is building Manveer's strong relationship for the future. NO OFFENSE, but Manyata can't completely fall in love with Uday until she deals with accepting being a princess FIRST. And remember this happens in EVERY show, it literally takes 6 or a couple of more months for both the leads to fall in love (granted something could happen to break them apart i.e. if anyone has watched Geet or IPKKND, or any other Indian drama, this is a formula followed by ALL).
2. MONASH is not the track the CVs support. If anything Monash is ONLY there to build U-M track. Remember guys, love happend quickly for Monash, but it won't for Manveer because their love is to be unique, strong, and have more intensity in it than Monash. That is why everything is happening dheeme dheeme for them and NOT Monash. If Monash were the lead couple then they would've picked someone better looking or equal to Uday's looks (HELLO guys this is TELEVISION, a VISUAL MEDIUM š , REMEMBER how moviemakers did in TWILIGHT with Jacob Vs Edward, for all those Twilight fans out there)... That is the reason for MONASH's existence guys. AND only that. The thing is the CVs like to confuse and play with us just like any other CV out there for every INDIAN drama, GEEZ what CV doesn't do that!!!
3. Finally, Manyata's makeover!!! I know everyone is complaining about it NOT happening. BELIEVE ME, I'm just as irritated.š” BUT the thing is it may happen in these 3 months, just not the way we expected. Remember it's the underlying motto of this show (remember how Uday fell in love with his Princess, it's because it was there in our faces, but yet we were still happily surprised š² š). MOST IMPORTANTLY, do you remember what the Yuvraaj said about his Princess, that she was like a flowing river, who will change according to her will and her own style, NOT in a CONFINED MANNER (which is what was happening when DS-Uday were manipulating her)
...AND remember if DS-Uday had succeeded then U-M track would have been in BIG trouble, U-M need to build a relationship where Uday is NOT manipulating her so that their love is on equal grounds NOT on the basis of MANIPULATION, that makes a terrible love story. Which brings me to why this Uday and Akash track, although testing, is actually a good thing for U-M track because it's making Uday vulnerable and realize a) manipulating someone to love you is terrible i.e. through J's desperate act of doing the same thing to him as to what he was doing to Manyata b) evolve his character into becoming a better person/friend/love for Manyata.
I hope that everyone will have patience, like I do for this show, that's truly awesome!!! It's going slow, but what Indian drama has not tried/tested our patience??? Plus this is not a movie guys, this is the daily life a girl who's life has changed upside downs, problems to hona hi tha, na?? And she's dealing with them head on and WILL eventually realize some loves (Manveer) are greater than others (Monash).š
ANd last but not least...
4. I know everyone is getting irritated with Manyata's behavior, but GUYS she is a princess in the making. She has been slowly adjusting to the life that she was given basically overnight, COMPLETELY different from the one she had her entire life. I know everyone questions her loyalty, but guys her undying loyalty was for a man who betrayed her ENTIRE 21 year existence. Wouldn't you rebel if your love and trust was betrayed by the only family (Murari Uncle) she had in her world. He was her everything, she left Akash for him REMEMBER???...She dealt with the ultimate betrayal for the first few months because who can deal with such a blow so quickly??? How do you even accept a new family with its own set of flaws and virtues moreover TRUST them??? SHE IS A HUMAN BEING GUYS not a MACHINE. Yes, she finally accepted them as her family, but she had to go through Akash being thrown out to realize how much they meant to her. And that acceptance is only deepening (yes, trust has been broken by DS and Uday, who likes being lied and manipulated to??, NO ONE), still it has deepened because even after saying she has no relations with her family she DEFENDED them to the press. Remember Manyata is brave and fights for what she believes in, so it may irritate you now that she believes only in Monash and justice for Akash only, but it will only make her a better princess. A leader has to go through personal troubles of their own in order to become a GREAT one i.e. Gandhi, Abdul Kalam, Indira Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, etc...
SO HAVE PATIENCE DEK Fans (AND COME BACK for those who have lost hope š). Every twist and turn is only a step closer to getting what we want (MANVEER), but what can I say this IS an Indian drama so thora keech keecha toh baanta hi hai, š
