Hellloo DEK Diehards!🤗
(are there any left?😳)
This is an honest question: You can comment if you like or simply vote, and you don't need to explain why or why not.
I just want to see if what the Show is pulling most of us closer to Manyata or further away:
Forget Akash,
Forget Uday,
Forget everything.
Just look at Manyata: Her actions, understanding, reactions, and standpoint in the show currenty.
DO YOU EMPATHIZE WITH HER?
Empathize meaning: identify with, understand, relate to, feel for, sympathize with, have a rapport with, feel at one with, be on the same wavelength
I just want to see if this side of M is winning people over or not. Thats all.
Cheers,
Reeha

That is very, very, very true. Most of us get super excited and live and let live. But even with Manveerness; I can't empathise with ehr. It's next to impossible- because her attitude and actions are simply so jello like. She needs to make up her mind: she accuse her family of playing royal games when she herself is not above them: using her title and persona when she has stated "she doesn't need devgard" rediculous. Either someone on the creative team didn't think that through, or its simply a very, very, very large charecter flaw.

Of course theres DEK Diehards left! And hey Reeha😆

I answered no because as the days go by, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to feel any sympathy for Manyata. I have to admit at the very beginning I did. Because she was living with Murari almost her entire life and I could understand the difficulties she experienced when presented with a whole new life. I mean, her family were a bunch of people that she didnt even know (or realize that she knew) and before then, she was living a very common lifestyle. But the way she has been acting...its just getting worse and worse.

And I feel that her personality is inconsistent with her actions. Like, she spent what...a week or a couple days with Akash and basically handed over her heart to him on a silver platter...what about all these weeks spent with her family? How could they not have influenced her? Besides, shes spent much more time away from Akash than with him.

Also, I understand that she has a very stubborn personality but the way shes acting is down right childish! Not even a child would act this way actually. And now I'm out of ideas.😆

But main thing being no, I cant empathize with her.

I'm wondering if there has ever been such a female lead that has failed to win over audiences 🤔

I don't watch too many shows, so in all seriousness, has that ever happened before? or is manyata simply the exception the norm😆

The creatives have butchered her character to the maximum.
She started off as this bubbly girl who dreamt of being a Raj Kumari only to meet her Raj Kumar. Murari always gave her good expensive things because he knew she was Royal blood all along. So from the start despite them moving around she was still treated Royally to some extent. When she liked the heels that were worth I think 10 000 rupees, that was A LOT of money for a person whose salary is just 10 000 rupees a month and a lot chawl people I'm assuming (in the show) probably don't make that much or if they did would not spend it on a pair of heels.

So, she she always wanted to be rich and dreamt of being showered with rich things and even asked about it at the wishing fountain.

And suddenly when she became rich she became a hypocrite. Her initial reaction the Royal Family was understandable to an extent because she believed Murari to be her own father. But, when he confessed the truth to her she ran to Akash. Suddenly it drew a big line, because Akash always made her believe the Royals are not good people. But somehow Moniya started to think the rich are all bad and selfish? But she wanted to live in that lifestyle too? The transition from friendship to love happened with Akash WAY too fast! And the transition to remembering and forgetting Murari happened WAY too fast too.

Akash's behaviour was so weird to understand, he initially let her go because he didn't want to keep her away from her family like Murari did, but somehow Moniya blamed her family for that too. Despite not wanting to keep her away, whenever they spoke on the phone, he always said "these people" or "those people" ... what did that mean? Those and these people are her family.

And from there her character went downhill, she did the stupidest things like making clothes out of curtains, and yelling all the time when she didn't get her way.

I've referred to Manyata as Moniya because I don't see Manyata in her at all, all I see is Moniya...

To summarize the entire nature of Moniya, one cannot have the better of both worlds, it's either one or the other. Moniya is confused and I believe with her so are the creatives.

Today's episode where UV is starring at her in the car and she's going on and on about Akash it was disturbing! it wasn't cute, it was so sad to see UV like that - and his character is the one being butchered now after butchering Manyata.

I think someone on the creative team tweeted that Moniya is acting out because she is out of her "safety zone" but that's not really true. Moniya has no safety zone, she's easily influenced by anyone - be it Akash, DS, Vijay, and even UV (now as we can see). Giriraj was right about her, she's like a kite and whoever can grab hold of her can tame her. As sad as it sounds, that's exactly how the creatives have portrayed her to be.

This is off the topic but I just want to add in lastly, the lines the creatives are using are pathetic to some extent now. They used to be witty and enjoyable to listen to. But now all the Ravan and Ram and the way Manyata talks about Akash, it's clear the creatives are set in Akash and Moniya and UV will be the ultimate sacrificing Prince.

I just think she is really stubborn...while she keeps repeating she loves Akash...she also gets influenced easily by Uday's talks...which makes me think that she gets affected by Uday too..I would say I empathize with her sometimes...she is still blindly in love with Akash...so obviously she is behaving in such a rebelious manner...yeah its true that when Murari had asked her to forget Akash, she had readily accepted it...but the thing is she considered Murari to be her real father, he had brought her up, so she can do anything for him, just like we would anything for our loved ones...while in this case she has not yet accepted her family, so off course she does not feel bound to accept her family's decision...you see a bond of 16 years which she shared with Murari is much more stronger than the bond of blood ...she has just started to know her real family, it will take a long time for her to have the same love for her family that she had for Murari.😊
