Let's just think about this for a minute- if ashish wasnt the handsome prince that he is in this show and it was some other not so hot and talented actor and the storyline was the same - with the monash storyline and stuff- would we even watch this show?

for me and for many other fans, one of the first reasons that attracted us toward UV was hit hotttieee hotttiee looks...UV, not ashish...

similary, one of the major turn-off right from the start, of akash with moniya, for many of us, was that he had zero chemistry with her, one of the reason for which was that he looks way too old for her...where the name uncle generated i guess..

anywayz... what i am trying to say is, we respect the actor abhishek. everything abt him - his physical appearance, his acting, his personal life - we respect everything.

but on the same hand, when he portrays akash - we do care abt everything of akash's. and abhishek's physical appearance does transfer over to akash the character when he portrays it... that is the one common bridge i guess between actors and characters - their physical appearance.

toh, if v discuss akash the character, v feel the need to bring in his physicala charactersitics too at times.. toh ab aisi situation ka kya solution hai mods?

becuz, as a fan, i see a character... ofcourse the characters innate qualities should be of main importance to me.. looks are definitely not everything... but sometimes i do feel like bringing them in.. per if that happens, rules start coming in our way becuz when v talk abt akash's looks v indirectly r talking abt abhishek's and that i guess is considered wrong.. though i dunno why - see when an actor decides to enter the tellyworld, they r committing to a career in which ppl will look at their EVERYTHING.. their looks their everything will be discussed when their characters r discussed.

for example: we gush abt uday's hotness... indirectly v r gushing abt ashish's hotness, but more than ashish it is uv we r interested in... praising his hotness is not wrong - it is a given that v girls will apprciate the hot looks of a charactter, and if in discussing them v r indirectly discussing something of the actor, v rn't wrong.. specially because all actors are given A CERTAIN LOOK/STYLE for their characters.. we saw ashish's old pictures - and v all agree he looks much much hotter as UV... toh phr, this means that the real ashish has a diff style than UV.. which means we can discuss uv's looks. but not ashish's...

toh discussing akash's look should fall in the same catagory na?? he has been given a particular style/getup/looks by the cv's for this charactter.. in real interviews he actually looks good.. but on-screen becuz of the character i don't even find him good looking... but doesn't mean i m saying abhishek isn't good looking - good looking nahi hota toh tv pe kaise aata?

lastly, these actors r used to being dicussed, both in negative and positive manners.. they shud be mature enuff, if they r in tv industry, to know that once they're here, they will be praised AND criticised.

we have actors who r roped into movies and dramas just for their comic looks... and jab un ki comedy acting ka mazak urta hai, toh un ki phsyical characteristics ko bhi laaya jaata hai beech mein sometimes - such as their voice, etc. villain movies mein aksar un ko banate hain jin ki looks in roles ke liye suitable banayi jaa sakti hain.. and jab villain ki burayi hoti hai, toh saath saath us ki EVIL LOOKS ki bhi... jab kisi hot actor ko hero banate hain - toh us ki hotness ki taareef hoti hai..

toh, shudnt we be allowed to discuss the physical characteristics of the character too sometimes? cuz that is part of the character. and if the actor is in tv industry, he shud knwo ke his character, along with his physical aspects, will all be judged, and anything v say abt the character WOULD be about the character that he has been toned for.

so mods... what say?????????????????????????????????
