Why I call it reality check? Well, seven points of fate!
First check - Once a headstrong prince is hell bent to do something, he does it.
Second - Karma is a bloody bitch! Manyata finally figured it out!
Third - Calm before the storm can be very deceiving...the calmer it is, the bigger the storm.
Fourth - No matter how much loving and caring one treats you, you mess with the trust then it's all downhill.
Fifth - Don't teach the makers how to play the game. It's only going to bring shame.
Sixth - Selfish people are going to remain selfish, you can't change them.
Seventh - When the most loving and caring person in your life decides to take lead of, beware. It's gonna be hell for you then!
SO MUCH happened in the episode today! At the beginning when Uday was frantically searching for the surprise, it seemed like oh great! He's gonna be made a fool now. In front of everyone! But wait, wait! Fate honey. This had to happen. It was a very minor moment, so easily to be ignored. But when the tiger is on the hunt, one small moment can change the entire game. And here the tiger was not only hungry but he was wounded. Ouch, that's always a deadly combo.
Manyata once again dug a hole for herself. Her blind trust in, not only Majnu, but also in herself that nothing can ever go wrong with her changed the tides in like a second. She herself revealed her troubles to everyone. Uday, he was somewhat triumphant but more enraged by the discovery. The family was shocked, J was ecstatic! It was like the fate was putting the pieces together and they were so not on Manyata's side.
Another hole she dug was when she grabbed Majnu's arm in front of everyone. That's like rubbing red chilli on burning wounds dear. Ooh! Just imagine the pain. The whole Laila-Majnu scene with Brij dragging Manyata away from Aakash was seriously...how to put is modestly, crappy and super melodramatic. Only disappointment in the entire episode for me.
Uday...meri JAAN! Aaj tou dil LOOT liya tum ne! For weeks and weeks I've been secretly wishing, praying, hoping that someone would beat the crap outta Majnu and FINALLY! The wish came true! Was he angry? No. Was he furious? No. It was beyond that! Much much much MORE than the normal anger he has. It was like a volcano which was boiling inside of him ERUPTED. Phir tou ye punch, wo laat, ye dhakka; full on band bajj gayi Majnu ki. For the first time, I wasn't thinking about ManVeer's future because there is no way Manyata is gonna forgive the Yuvraj for what he was doing. She kept begging him to leave Majnu and he kept beating the crap outta him. With his already bruised hand, his every hit was equivalent to the hurt of broken trust inside of him. Today, it was all about him.
And off went the Majnu...to the police station. Loved it! His final thread of peace was putting in case in DS's court. Loved Brijraj's reaction to his words about Manyata!
"How dare you say that about my daughter?!"
My heart was swelling in pride. Time and time again I've said that Brijraj is a great father. More than a King, he is a father. The protectiveness in those words for his daughter, a daughter who had just moments ago crushed his pride and trust without a single backward glance, just made me smile. But what made me applaud (literally) was what DS said afterwords. BANG ON REALITY CHECK MAJNU!!
She is a princess who has returned to her real world after 16 whole years! You are the one hell bent on making her refuse this reality. You are the one who is forcing her to rebel. You, baby it's only YOU. She ain't a normal girl, you had accepted it. Why this sudden change buddy? What was he expecting, that he'd go marching in the palace and the family would have tears of gratitude in their eyes seeing such "pure love" of his? Acha sabaq sikhaya DS ne usse!
She is a grandmother but she is a QUEEN! A royal QUEEN! You don't give her advices specially when she hasn't asked you for one. Majnu was like zipped up. What could he say? Everytime DS speaks, she only uses the facts. One by one. Facts, they are the killer of fantasy. Majnu has been living in fantasy. The fall from fantasy to reality is a hard one, but he is falling. Finally he's falling!
I came. I saw. I conquered. Everyone knows about this line of Julius Ceasar. Had to twist it a bit for Uday. "I came. I beat. I went." That's all he did! He sent off Majnu to his rightful destination and formally asked his leave. What else was he going to do there? Let them scratch on his already open wounds? Nah! No matter how much he loves/respects this family, somethings are better to be kept secrets. And Uday is a master of secrets.
The J Brothers scene was muah! Peace and calm, though an evil one, finally graced J's face. Things are turning the way she wants them to. Who cares if she completely trapped her own blood sister? At least she's free. That's the way she is. Kameeni. Kameena isnaan kameena hi rahe ga. I can always justify J. Never hated her. Seeing her today at her most relaxed self, made me smile. Vijay Bhai is tou my jaan ka adha hissa! Loved his lines today. And when he compared Majnu to Uday and wondered how could anyone go for the former when the latter was in competition, I literally KISSED him! CVs! Please remember this! Khud hi Uday ko the BEST ki tarah portray karte ho aur phir khud hi Majnu ko importance dete ho! This is cruelty, I tell you!!
FINALLY! DS is gonna take lead of Manyata's life. I see good hope in that because Manyata has no cards in her deck which she can use to her advantage. One swipe and she's left bare handed. Komal is acting only like a mother now, no one can blame her. But rest of the family still knows their position. They are royals. And they don't back down. This time, Manyata is playing against her own blood. Now, it's her rebelliousness and DS's experience which are at war. Only time will decide the victor.
