In real life, every girl wants a guy like akash, that's true and I won't argue with that. But the way he is turning Manyata against her own family, I am sorry I love my family and him saying that M should not listen to her family really turned me off.

Moreover He is out with Manyata one street eating panipuri and then going on beach. Do you have any respect for a girl who is a princess now? Can you think about what media may deliver seeing you like that with a princess to be?
When I love someone I don't want anyone saying bad about that person. And i have clearly seen Akash doesn't care about M's reputation as he is roaming everywhere openly. Even more his parents are so greedy. I don't want to live with a family who only want me for my money either.

Firstly, Akash is not distancing Moniya from her real family. Moniya herself is doing that.

Moniya herself complains about Jai and Uday (like that day during Makarsakranti). Akash did not even bring the whole thing up.

Jai was the one who told Akash about Uday marrying Moniya for her estate. (would a normal guy not be cautious now)

Moniya texts Akash about her outings and meet ups.

Even today (and that day when Akash came into the palace), he was only concerned about Moniya being well. He did not ask for Moniya to leave with him. He did not make any ridiculous plan to snatch her away. He also even respects her time and drops her home. Akash is any normal guy who is wondering what going on - why isn't Moniya replying to my messages. Is she locked up again, is Uday taunting her ..etc. etc. He wasn't going to ignore this.

It was Akash who first realized that Moniya should be with her real family. And that is why he let her live there and ignored her (initially). He did not want her to get into trouble and he did not want her to let go of her dreams of becoming a rajkumari. But when Moniya herself complains about the palace and its people, Akash realized that he needs to be with Moniya.

When Moniya was snatched away, Akash came to her rescue (and got beat up - once at the station and the other in front of the palace). He has seen her being forcefully taken away. He wouldnt trust the royal family, especially Uday after seeing that. That is why he came to the palace and that is why he phones her. Not to snatch her.

If we had to see the flip side, its actually Uday who liked to see Jai and Moniya's catfights.

Secondly, I don't expect Akash to treat Moniya like a royal princess now. He has treated her very nicely in the past and he maintains that treatment. He's not after her title or money, he's after just Moniya - same old Moniya.

Thirdly, Akash's parents might be greedy - Akash is not.

I agree with the points you made. Aakash is simple, down to earth, hard working, and caring. He's not manipulative or conniving like Uday. But he is also very one-dimensional. He's sweet and positive and nice and all, but what else? There's got to be something else to a person, in reality no one is all nice and good and all.

One thing that makes a character real to me is his/her flaws. Everyone has some.. Like Uday.. He's arrogant, snobbish, manipulative and what not.. but then he's nice too especially with his sister. So you see both the sides to him that you do not with Aakash.

I may just be biased because I love it when bad boys change when they fall in love.. Something I'm sure will happen to Uday so that maybe why I'm loving Uday-Manyata more than Aakash-Manyata. Also because love is a process.. it doesn't happen in a day or two. It takes time.. it grows on you.. I'm enjoying Uday-Manyata's fights and all that whereas with Aakash-Manyata it's plain cheesy lines.

However, I do agree with you.. that at the moment Aakash is the perfect, positive hero that any girl would like to marry. But I know Uday is going to truly fall for Manyata and I just wanna compare the two of them then.

She is allowed to express her Opinion- just like we're allowed to express ours. There is no need to tell anyone to "shut up". you can express your thoughts respectfully😊

I agree akash is such a sweet heart - he is the epitome of perfection on how a boyfriend should be but then that is so BORING.
Who really wants to watch another story like that?
Plus he is not appealing and has no chemistry with moniya- talk about bad pairing

I was thinking about this exact topic after watching today. I like Uday as a character - a little evil is Sexy😈 but, is he the best/correct dude for M?

High end fun - Udayveer
Cool - Udayveer
Rich - Udayveer
Nice Person - Akash
Moral/Ethical - So far Akash is arguably more "ethical"
Selfish - Both - Uday wants kingdom & power and Akash wants "Moniya" not Manyata... So neither guy truly wants the whole package that is Manyata cum Moniya...
Dude's Family - Udaybeer - not because they are wealthy, but Unnati would be a better SIL than Akash's greedy parents
Romantic - so far Akash... but, then UV has not gotten into that zone as yet and he is more experienced.
Loyal - Akash - UV hits on every girl
Style - UV
Cultured - UV
Education - Unusure - Oxford v. best in Chawl?
Hardworking - Akash...but he is not as diligent post Manyata and UV is very diligent at his new task - Manyata's jailor🤣
M's family - Udayveer

In sum, for me its a toss for now who should be Mr. Manyata... Akash is the "nice guy"... but, girls often go gaga over the "evil, but reformable" dude especially if ends up being ur loong looost mangetar😍... n nice dudes r often perceived to be duds🥱

You have an extreamly valid point: Akash is the better person on the exterior, interior: in persona, attitude and forethought: he is honest- as we know it- hard working, and motivated. But it stops there. Akash has these traits, and that's perfect:
Where does he go from there?
Where does the story go from there?
Love is never without expectations, money or politics: Especially in an Indian household: Because the bond is NOT between just two people: It is between two families- this is a discussion for another day; but regardless of how Akash feels about M:
There will always be a Political Story running parallel.
Always.
To be frank: the Word perfect is personal- it changes. Akash has all these traits, but what makes a Hero a Hero is when he discovers he is one. When he developes into one; changes, gains a new perspective...changes for someone else- sometimes without even realizing it perhaps even not wanting to. Akash, I don't see him changing: How do you develope a positive trait, when you already have them? What stage of metamophasis is left?
And if that is the case, then we are in a deadlock, with no where to progress.
Yes, manipulation is not ideal; but neither is a narrow perspective. Uday may be a manipulative prince- there is no denying that- but Akash is a man who is failing to see what his love is destined to be: If he is truely so selfless, why does he not help her become what is her birth right: And no, becoming a princess does not change her ideals: She can still be Moniya, but have the power of Manyata: Help change the world around her for the better. That is true courage:
Wanting more for the other than you want for yourself-
and NEITHER Akash, nor Uday have shown this yet...
Perhaps, Akash as a husband. Perhaps Uday as a husband.
the first ends the show-
the second starts a new chapter.

Spot on, Reeha! 👏

Akash marrying Moniya is the end of the show but Uday marrying Manyata is only the beginning...
