Never doubted the legal rights of the poor dead....it's just the way media seemed to report on abuse of children's rights etc....shame it takes an incident like this before people start promoting these rights....I know, I know....that's a bit harsh....

1. People who are so guilty even money/power cant keep them out

2. People who have no money/power to prove they are innocent, irrespective of whether they have done the crime or not

Aarushi case: 'Rajesh Talwar taken to an undisclosed place'

28 May 2008, 0034 hrs IST,PTI

NOIDA: Noida police on Tuesday took dentist Rajesh Talwar, accused of killing his teenaged daughter Aarushi and his domestic help Hemraj, was taken to an undislosed place, his lawyer said.

The lawyer Abhijit Chatterjee told reporters that police have not informed Talwar's lawyers about the whereabouts of their client.

Earlier in the day, a court remanded Talwar to three day's police custody and his family demanded a CBI probe into the twin murder case.

__________

I am surprised that in India the legal counsel of a suspect is not allowed to be present during the police interrogation process. This gives the police total carte blanch to use any means, mental, physical or what have you to force confessions even from the innocent. This is why I wonder who really is in jail in India?

Dr. Talwar has acute respiratory problems. Now I fear for his life. Wonder what the Talwar family did to deserve all this. It is totally bizarre and surreal.

Today I saw Nupur Talwar's first interview on Headlines news...

I can see she is going thru hell.. she kept on repeating that her Husband is innocent and pray for her family..
It was quite heart breaking to see that lady.. whose daughter murdered brutally n hubby is in Jail..

Actually I was expecting Talwar family announce Big money to the informer who can lead them to the actual murderer if there is one.. Nupur looked so detached.. may be she was still in shock...

Aarushi got murdered so horribly within 5 meters away, her skull was broken n neck was slit.. while Hemraj died on the terrace fighting for his life.. still this couple did not heard anything, Bit hard to digest.. 😕 😕

That was the first question that had crossed my mind at the very beginning of this case. However I talked to a friend who lives at Jul Vayu Vihar. He laid my concerns to rest when he said that "compared" to other areas of Noida this neighborhood is "quieter" on the outside at night. However he pointed out that, during the summer months on the inside of the homes the air conditioners and the air coolers make you feel like you are sitting in an airplane that is hurtling down a runway to take off. Mentioning his own experience and apartment he said that both he and his wife have failed to hear their kids calling out to them at night on many occasions. In addition he also said that the apartments on each floor are fairly close together, yet none of those occupants heard anything either. If the Talwar's terrace door was a loud squeaker as reported then the neighbor's should have heard it as well. Yet in the still of the night no one heard a sound.

The coroner's report says that Aarushi was hit on the skull with a blunt object first, and she would have died from that instantly. All the other injuries were unnecessary if killing her was the goal. Both the Talwars are doctors and the parents of this child. If they really wanted to kill their own child would they continue to inflict other disfiguring wounds after the first fatal blow? No matter how angry no parent can do that to their child.

My own theory is that the murderers wanted to kill the whole family. However the Talwar's bedroom door may have been bolted from the inside, so they were spared. Seeing Nupur Talwar's interview on AajTak all I can say is she exhibits all the classic symptoms of post traumatic stress syndrome. Being in the legal field I have seen these exact "symptoms" in many cases when interviewing the near and dear ones of crime victims; especially when the victims were minors and the crime scene was so horrific that you could almost spill your guts.

Bunny ji, that air conditioner/cooler noise makes perfect sense for the parents not hearing anything....but the Talwars used to lock Aarushi's bedroom door from outside once she was asleep. Was it not locked that day or the killer somehow got the keys from the parents' bedroom and both slept through it too😕

Don't know why but I have this hunch that we'll never know what exactly happened that night 😕 I don't understand the haste that was shown in cremating the body. If the body was preserved, it might have provided some more clues to the mystery.

Gauriji in an earlier interview that Dr. Nupur Talwar gave to NDTV she had been asked about locking Aarushi in her bedroom every night. What she said when this question was posed to her was this is utter nonsense. She added that Aarushi's room had a latch system. Aarushi could open the latch from inside if she needed to come out. However if they had to enter her room from the outside they had to use a key to open the door. That is very different from the police version which reduced it to the dastardly parents locking Aarushi in her room every night and keeping the key under their pillow. I think the police have been turning, twisting, bending and manipulating everything from the time Hemraj body was found on the terrace. Which was their biggest blunder in this case.

The latch system suggests that either Aarushi let her killer/s into her room since there was no sign of any tampering of the locks, or she had stepped out of the room and witnessed something she was not supposed to and was fatally hit on the head outside the room. Her still body was then carried into the bedroom where the killer/s slit her throat to make assurances doubly sure. I have spent all my free time pouring over every story in every newspaper and every TV news channel to piece things together. The picture is very unclear however I am reasonably convinced that all the members in the household were targets that night. I am also convinced that Hemraj let the perpetrators in, because they were known entities. He just did not know their intentions that night. If I were investigating this case I would have started with questioning the guards on duty that night at the entrance to this gated community. My gut instinct tell me that they could have shed light on who entered and left the compound on the night of the murders.

I agree on all of the above. However first, after the autopsy the cops were pretty satisfied that they had got everything they needed. Second at that stage they were very sure Hemraj was the killer and were busy dispatching a team to Nepal. Third since the Hindu religion requires creamation before sundown the cops gave their blessings by releasing the body to the family. Fourth as Dr. Nupur Talwar said today on TV, the elders of their household told them that the ashes of a child should be immersed immediately and not on the 13th day as with older people. Thus the hurried trip to Haridwar. The fourth has now been turned on its head by the cops as Dr Rajesh Talwars trip to dispose off all incriminating evidence, like his bloody clothes and the murder weapons.

You are right this will be yet another crime that will never be solved. It will destroy and ruin the Talwars and Duranis. Worst of all it will be a total miscarriage of justice if Dr. Rajesh Talwar is by hook or crook labelled the murderer even if there is not a shred of evidence to support the cops theory. The most unsettling thing is that Dr. Talwar is with the cops for the next three days. They can do whatever they pretty well please with him. At the rate at which the cops have been going I wouldn't be surprised if they stage an encounter. That will keep their ineptness and blundering burried under the rug forever.

This is by far the most heartbreaking and gut wrenching sequence of events to standby and watch a perfectly normal family get totally destroyed....why? and for what?
