Ease of info = jeopardizing mind ?

Is ease of info or thoughts negative for humans, in terms of becoming dump robots?

Agreed free flow of info makes humans dependant, but intellect people always utilizes exisiting info, wothout waste of thier time and invest in other areas to make human lives better.

Like password save feature in browsers can be one reason some can be dump individuals when browser crashes..while it helps in growth for others...

So is technology to ease normal / routine works help huma n race to progress or it's actually making humans dump?
