True, hear yaa. I know an incident where due to some personal differences colleagues turned enemy, started created problems for one Ma'am on virtual world, it blew out of propotions and nothing could be done as virtual world has it's own limitations. There can more negatives, wouldn'tmake more sense to avoid such situations?

Forum is seperate part of my life. I come here to have fun, chill and go back to my real life. It is a break away place for me.

I have made few really good friends who I would like to keep in my real life but rest can remain Virtual. One should take VL with cautions b/c one never knows who is behind that computer on the other side.

I simply cant' aquire a virtual persona without being myself . So I don't have any problem if my real life relations or friend visit DM or know about my ID.

I find some really nice people on Virtual world generaly and IF specifically , They are already my real life friends. I find it very similar to real life situation when it comes to friendship. Just like in real life , we may talk with many but be friend with few like minded people. Ofcourse it doesn't mean the rest are bad or anything wrong with them , untill unless there are serious moral issues.😊

Everything has pros and cons. There are some truly warm and wonderful people online and it can be a great place to meet people and make friends. At the same time there is always a risk of running into the wrong kind.

The internet can be a healthy extension of our real world social network. Apart from our real world friends and family, we can connect with people with whom we share common interests, or people from different backgrounds we would love to know more about or there will be people who just intrigue us.

Personally, in real life I am really introverted and it takes a long time for me to make friends. I am more chatty and open online, but it takes me twice as long to make friends and be close as the lack of proximity makes the process a whole lot slower.

I do have close acquintances here ,and i am just the person online and offline. just that i am known by a more trendy/funky name than the monotonous one.

In real real life friendships we know the person very well and know their chain of thoughts to some extend and free to argue with them and evenif it is a heated argument in the end of the day there will not be any ill feeling. And if with an acuaintance, I choose to avoid the arguement in real life, if it is not necessary.

Virtual world give some extent of freedom.
