Should we Have multiple fim awards

In Bollywood mostly there are so many film awrads that I feel the meaning of an award is lost . If in one awards function a particular actor wins in another ceremony a nother actor wins . What is the importance then ?

These days people dont even know which film was the best last year or which actor won . Because so many awards are given away . Also the main thing is so much of money spent in filling the pockets of different people .Isn't this such a waste of money for a developing country like ours !! Will we ever develop !

What is ur view on this ? Do you support multiple award ceremonies ?

i agree to the point that we hardly remember who won what!!!! with sooo many award nights to sit and watch. 😕

As for wasting money, when we can waste money watching them whole year on reel then might as well waste some more to see them real.whats there? anyway trust me nobody's going to save for the country's development atleast some actors perform for charity and extend help this way.

in support of multiple award shows i would say, that we get to see our fav's performances, incase they dont show up at some other night 😃 and its fair on an angle as everbody has quite many chances of winning, lessening the reason to loose always being "arey filmfare mein hamesha sharukh ko hi award miltha hai" 😉

All the awards send my head in a dizzy spin. When there is too much of something it loses value and meaning. That is what has happened to the Indian movie awards. Other countries do have their share of multiple awards ceremonies but they are capped at around three. Hollywood has Academy, Golden Globe and SAG, one more artistic, one more commercial and one industry centric. I think Bollywood needs to limit themselves in a similar manner to appreciate all aspects of film making - art and commerce and recognizing fellow peers. It is time our actors and actresses stood up for themselves with self respect and forced the industry to weed out nonsensical award ceremonies.

award ceremonies are just additional drama.. 😳 even actors don't take them seriusly / believe in their credibility.. in fact, not just film awards, but i also found out that we have wayyy too many tv show awards as well.. 😕

Yeah thats true now after bollywood awards next is the Television awards ! 😆 😆 😆

Agreed with RTH/QT. Even was award winners must not be having that sense of achievement as before as the credibility is lost, there are so many of them out there... Awards - not more then monopolized / manipulated drama.
