Pros

Freedom

Cons

In todays times people without commitment are not well accepted in society so life becomes purposeless and miserable as time catches up on you.. At one point there are chances of mind getting twisted out of frustration, anxiety, meaningless existence.

The bottom line is single people remain single because they cant double.😊.. they have some psychological of social short-coming...😊

Being single ideally is a fantastic idea..to that idea sing this song(poem)

Happy the man, whose wish and care
A few paternal acres bound,
Content to breathe his native air,
In his own ground.

Whose heards with milk, whose fields with bread,
Whose flocks supply him with attire,
Whose trees in summer yield him shade,
In winter fire.

Blest! who can unconcern'dly find
Hours, days, and years slide soft away,
In health of body, peace of mind,
Quiet by day,

Sound sleep by night; study and ease
Together mix'd; sweet recreation,
And innocence, which most does please,
With meditation.

Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me dye;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lye.

but unfortunately or fortunately..this single idea does not work everytime😛

Im still single, so I dont know much about this 😆

But let me tell you - even being single you have lot of responsibilities and one is answerable to their parents, friends and relatives.. So, I wont say you are not bound to commitments.. Commitments are part of life and you get it in one way or the other 😳 And there is nothing called Complete freedom.. We are bound by so many social rules.. 😳

Pros and Cons of being a "SINGLE"

Pros-

You can enjoy the silence any time you want.

You can have all the freedom in the world, but sometimes it is like getting dressed up and nowhere to go type of situation.

Cons-

It is reported that being single can actually be a greater risk to one's life than having heart disease or cancer. Older (30+ yrs) umarried people are far more likely to suffer from inadequate finances, coronary disease, depression, cancer, mental illness or murder- suicide.

The longer one stays single , the harder it becomes to have a happy and succesfull marriage as one is set in its own ways of living life and not flexible.

For better or for worse - Marriage may prove to be gloriously happy, or painfully disappointing. Singleness may prove to be gloriously satisfying or painfully disappointing so it is a personal choice we must make at least once in a lifetime.

I think marriages promote stability. Stability promotes productivity. Marriage is the bedrock of the foundation of all great cultures. But marriages have bad name as most fear of becoming semi-non person .

agree ,

would like to add something though .. I think Shadi is a big gamble. If you find a good life partner nothing is better than that .....kind of completion of life which isnot possible if you remain single , however if unfortunately you find some weird one ....well nothing is worse than that ...

They have a way out Dewey.. It is called divorce... One shouldn't let the possibility of divorce deter one from getting married to the right person. There are no gaurantees and unfortunaltely like everything else in life marriages have failures too.

Yes but divorce is scary thing..... difficult to imagine how can we erase a relationship and then proceed to another one .....may be in cases where marriage is nothing but a contract paper.

Hindsight is 20/20 so when one finds him/herself in a abusive and physically restrictive marriage , divorce is a way of becoming unmarried or single again and perhaps remain single.
