Who can you trust?

Question is relatively simple.......is there anyone out there who you can completely trust?

So many scary stories of boys and girls being abused by people in such high levels of trust (parents, teachers, priests)....how can you trust anyone again?

How can you.....if at all possible, protect your children frpm such low lifes?

There is no one you can fully trust in this world, apart from yourself. Trust yourself to make the call to whom to trust 😉 😊 .

Trust no one but yourself. Dont trust your shadows as well, sometimes, that can be deceptive too. Dont blindly trust a friend, for one knows not whether he is a friend or a foe. Dont blindly trust a stranger on the road is what we teach children.....

Anshu wrote above that trust yourself to make that call - I say, dont trust yourself too blindly. Test your trust from time to time, sometimes, even your own eyes can let you down. But yes, I believe that if you listen to your conscience, it will show you the right way and the trust worthy way, all the time. More often than not, we falter when we ignore the voice of our conscience.

Without trust nobody can live.....trust yourself and try to trust others too 😊

I think trustworthy people tend to trust others more.
It takes learning from mistakes to figure out why it may not be the right thing. Since the learning procss is tough, gullible people should not even trust themselves.. 😆

Anyway, i have recently learnt not to trust easily.. However, I am blessed to have trustworthy family and friends and I will continue to trust them. In God I trust above all..

I concur more with the second part of this statement. I am someone who does not blindly trust anyone but you cannot live in this society being skeptical of everyone. I study a person first. At different points, we need to and in my case forced to trust people like trusting my tiny tot with her teachers. So echo the highlighted part.

You have to go by intuition. There is no one you can really trust. However, trust is the foundation of all vital relationships and without trust you have no social existence. It is a Catch 22.

People advice to be cautious, but I say to be the opposite. Be more trusting, compassionate and caring. It is better to trust the wrong person, than mistrust a true friend and dilute the relationship.

At the age that I am, I feel that I can trust my parents the most. Of course, there are a few friends who have stuck through thin and thick but the age is such that minds waver a lot and I don't trust myself either at this point in time. So for me, mommy-daddy are the best trust-pillows as of now. Why would parents ever want anything wrong for their children, or do they? 😕 Actually there are instances where parents do more for one child while doing partiality with the other. Thankfully, that is not the case for me, so mom-dad zindabad! 😃

how about your spouse? isn't the point of marrying someone that you completely trust them.....why would you want to spend the rest of your life with someone who you don't completely trust?
