against terrorists or their leaders who have been involved in henious crimes resulting in hundreds of Indian deaths over the years. I am talking about likes of Dawood (D-Company), Masood Azhad (JeM), Hafeez Saeed (LeT), Paresh Barua (ULFA)..or even Prabhakaran (he can never be pardoned for killing an ex PM of India) etc.

Terrorists have no fear of Indian State, they know we're not going to retaliate. Sab kuchh sehte rahenge. I think we should emulate Israeli response after the Munich Massacre, Mossad ne chun chun kar ek ek terrorist ko maut ki neend sula diya...even if it took them years. I would be happy if our govt does something like it...

Munich Massacre - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munich_massacre

The Munich massacre occurred during the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany, when members of the Israeli Olympic team were taken hostage by the Palestinian terrorist group Black September, a group with ties to Yasser Arafat's Fatah organization.

By the end of the ordeal, the group had murdered eleven Israeli athletes and one German police officer. Five of the eight terrorists were killed by police officers during an aborted rescue attempt. The three surviving terrorists were captured, and were later released by Germany following the hijacking of a Lufthansa airliner. (more in the link)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Wrath_of_God

Operation Wrath of God (Hebrew: ???? ??? ???, Mivtza Za'am Ha'el),[1] also called Operation Bayonet,[2] was a covert operation directed by Israel and the Mossad to assassinate individuals alleged to have been directly or indirectly involved in the 1972 Munich massacre.

Their targets included members of the Palestinian militant group Black September, who were responsible for the Munich attack, and members of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) accused of being involved.[3] Authorized to begin by Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir in the autumn of 1972, the operation may have continued for more than 20 years.[4]

During this time, covert Israeli assassination units killed dozens of Palestinians and Arabs across Europe, including the mistaken murder of an innocent waiter in Lillehammer, Norway, in what became known as the Lillehammer affair. An additional military assault was launched by Israeli commandos deep inside Lebanon to kill several high-profile Palestinian targets. This string of assassinations spurred retaliatory attacks by Black September against a variety of Israeli government targets around the world. It has also prompted criticism of Israel for its choice of targets, tactic of assassination, and overall effectiveness. Because of the secretive nature of the operation, some details are unverifiable beyond a single source, including the story of an Israeli who claims to have led an Israeli assassination squad.

We can learn so much from the geographically small (but fearless) nation of Israel. We have given too much liberty to the terrorists, they can strike anywhere in India at will (without fear of any reaction from our side). Festival season is about to begin, mujhe to darr hai ki koi aur attack naa ho jaaye.

most of us will blame the politicians

but how many of us will have the courage to say
it is ok, while killing people like Dawood or whoever, if his son/wife/grandkids are hurt/kiled, they are just a matter of collateral damage?

You mean kins of the terrorists? Well we must try to minimize the collateral damage and make sure that only the target gets eliminated. I am strongly in favour of covert actions, our anti-terrorism policy has been a colossal failure, it has been a disaster. States and Orgranisations are openly supporting terror activities in India without fear of any retaliatory action..which is emboldening them.

It is not that easy. Firstly we don't even have proper resources to secure our borders. Secondly it is easier for a smaller nation like Israel to conduct such operations and be "brave" because
1. Uniformity in religion and people's belief
2. Support of US

Isn't it an irony that Yasser Arafat who was primarily responsible for Black September was later awarded Nobel Prize for peace?

Moreover the names mentioned in the first posts have higher-level contacts and live in different countries. We cannot even stop dons like Abu Salem from contesting elections.
