Salaaam Namaste to all our wonderful members 😃 šŸ¤—

People say that freedom is what everyone's pursuiting.

While some associate it with the freedom of speech, privacy and the freedom to read, others associate it with War.

Friends, that's why we wish to know what Freedom means to You?

Are you associating anything with Freedom?

Does the freedom of a country affect the freedom of individuals?

What is the mindset of those who live the life of slavery? According to You, what is their idea of freedom?

We're looking forward to Your replies, friends. 😃

Love to you,

freedom is like doing whatever i want but i sometimes don't like it when i'm stopped to do something....i mean my parents have given me everything i've asked for n they still r but i don't like it when i'm stopped to do something i want n then later on i just get mad because i start to feel that i don't have my freedom....i've also seen that the things i was being stopped to do were actually bad n that prooves my parents want me to be happy n they were rite....i've also tried doing things my way them but i've always failed in it....i still remember my math test n i got really bad marks on it n that was because i didn't listen to my mom....my freedm has affected someone n i don't want to say who they r...umm outside my house i don't have any problems cause canada is a free country n noonne cares what ur wearing n what ur doing but i still have my limits n i don't feel that it's something wrong cause i feel that i need limits as an indian n if an outsider says something bad to me then i have the guts to say the same thing back to them

i would say that as a kid i have all my freedom but i don't know if i'll feel the same when i grow up 😊

well in my opinion there should be freedomw but not beyond our family and culture values. bcz when we cross our limits it not only hurts us but more that that our prid and and our loved ones come ito the troubles.it doesnt mean that u should take the advantage if ur parents trust u and give the fredome to do anything.most likely when u get the freedome u want it is our responsiblity to think that how we are goign to use that freedome in good way not in bad.... wateva we do it comes back to us whether it is good or bad.... thats all i cans ay rightnow

freedom.. it means being able to say and do as i please.
freedom letts me be who im. and it gives me the sense of independence i need. and i think for a woman. this sense can only be obtain in america and possibly countries in europe.
i find that india is more freer [if thts a word] for man than woman..[even today].

and slavery. its just sick. it shouldnt be practiced in the first place. i dont think slaves have ne sort of freedom. 🤢

Freedom...it's such a hard word to define, because its so much more than a word, its a right. A right that some people are given by birth, and a right which some people get snatched away from their very own hands.

A country represents its people. Therefore the freedom of a country entitles its people to live without boundaries.

Being free means having the right to express your views without worrying about what others think around you. In fact, we have freedom to be conducting this debate at the moment šŸ˜‰

Freedom means having an opinion, being given the privelige to fend for yourself and have a great life with many opportunities without carrying about all these social norms and unwritten rules around us. Freedom is being able to spread your wings without ever opening your eyes to see what lies ahead of you.

So what is freedom?

Nobody can live without it. Without freedom we wouldn't be able to be ourselves. We wouldn't be able to talk to each other without hesitating. All of us in this world would be viewing each other through other people's eyes.

But what about slaves.

Slaves were not given freedom at first were they? Then what was their freedom.

Freedom doesn't mean the same thing to all of us.

Some slaves suffered so much, that their freedom meant death. They finally got to escape the life that was tormenting them more and more each day.

Some slaves received their freedom by escaping, either from the civil war or the underground railroad. They eventually restored some of their peace, even though life was still not all the way perfect for them.

Were slaves free? In their hearts, they eventually received freedom, for being good people inside. Whether it was in their own life or in the afterlife, they received their freedom.

Freedom is the ability to fight for what you belive in, that doesn't necessary mean that you'll have to succeed.

Freedom is being able to stand with your head held high in front of the world and whisper to yourself "I can't believe this is me!"

But don't go too far with freedom, especially freedom of speech.

Because sometimes the right to saying too much, may hurt the others around you.

Express your beliefs, but you should always remain compassionate to the views of your friends.

So once again, what is freedom?

Freedom my friend, is being yourself.

Absaloutely wonderful post Khushi and one that caught my interest quite quickly; especially as my 'freedom' to live the life I want to is a big issue at the moment.....

A wonderful response by 'ANGADLUVSKRIPA!' (Did I get that right?😳)

Freedom can mean being able to say what you want.......being able to stay out as long as you wish to or even being able choose what you want to eat.....

Freedom can mean choice....

For me freedom is being able to put my head up high and not have any one turning me away from living in a place which is as rightfully mine as is theirs.......for me freedom is not being discriminated against because I'm different whether through my race, colour, gender or religion....

But then again, Freedom is just a word.......what happens sadly depends on those who are above us in the hierarchy that society has put in place....

I just hope that when the term 'Freedom' comes to mind; it means the same equality for everyone!šŸ˜›
