Today I read a poem which really touched my heart.....and it was on friendship.....Human emotions are really interesting....they are the basis for the existence of the humans in a society and development of a nation and subsequently the development of relations with other nations...

I've two issues regarding human emotions....:

  1. As a part of our life ..we meet new people, some become so close to us may be becuase of the matching of the mindsets and we may lose that friendships because of some n number of reasons, which we may or may not regret for doing so....Can the broken friendships...broken relations.....patched ...easily.....????? It sounds impractical and not easy....
  2. Consider the nations.....Pakistan and India...the common people in both countries don't have any harsh feelings towards the people of the mutual countires....somany thousands of people in India have relatives in Pak and vice versa.......the relations between the nations India and Pak are not so good as they needed to be......but how can the nations patch the differences and move forward forgetting the wars and all misdeeds...at the same time ..are'nt the emotions of the people important......
  3. When it is tough at the individual level to accept /or patch up an old friendship... how is it possible at the nations level....???
  4. Do the nations consider the emotions of the people of their countires when discuss the issues of modifications of the relations between the countries?
  5. Are emotions constructive forces or desrtuctive forces.....for an Individual and for a nation......in dealing issues...

Easily, no... but patched, yes.😊

Consider the nations.....Pakistan and India...the common people in both countries don't have any harsh feelings towards the people of the mutual countires....somany thousands of people in India have relatives in Pak and vice versa.......

Thousands don't matter in front of a billion.

the relations between the nations India and Pak are not so good as they needed to be......but how can the nations patch the differences and move forward forgetting the wars and all misdeeds...at the same time ..are'nt the emotions of the people important......

Emotions are such a waste of time, and they ain't important where national policies are concerned. Where's the need to patch up, long ago when we defeated a certain nation we should have bombed the whole country to stone age, annihilated everything and annexed it. That'd have solved a lot many problems.

When it is tough at the individual level to accept /or patch up an old friendship... how is it possible at the nations level....???

If you're talking about that one particular nation which I think you're, then I'll say again, there's no need to patch up. Whenever we've tried that we've been backstabbed, why risk it again.

Do the nations consider the emotions of the people of their countires when discuss the issues of modifications of the relations between the countries?

I don't think so.

Are emotions constructive forces or desrtuctive forces.....for an Individual and for a nation......in dealing issues...

Destructive forces. Facts, data, numbers are the truth, emotions are misleading.

There is a pecking order in emotions/relationships

Offcourse every person has their own order for emotions, but generally nationality is at the top, friendship follows

that is why u will see examples of people sacrificing friendship for nationality and never vice-versa

Generally when it comes to nation, people prefer thinking is this good for my country for my people then they think of friends on the other side of the border and that is the way it should be

I don't agree with a lot of what you have said. How come you always discredit emotions? Emotions are both positive and negative, and how individuals channel the negatives make them destructive.

Now that was a logical explanation... coming from personal experiences, emotions are gonna be the end of me. Tell me something good and positive, cause I am freaking out here... how will I survive in TX? I keep hearing that they are close-minded, racist, and conservative.

Now there you're.😆 Actually I was kinda thinking about you when I wrote this, as we've already argued on the usefulness of emotions a few times.😳 Me being a staunch opposer and you always supporting emotions.😛 However, here I think you can't disagree to the fact that decisions taken on the basis of facts and numbers are a lot more dependable than decisions taken on the basis of emotions. I agree there are both positive and negative emotions but neither comes in handy when making national policies. You can justify your decisions on the basis of data but can you do the same on the basis of your emotions, that is as long as majority of the people don't share the same emotions.

About you surviving in Texas, it's off-topic, but if you consider will-power, determination as emotions then they'll help you survive and last but not the least the ability to make and leave friends very quickly.

😆😆😆 not really persy. we are pretty cool actually. i love tx...it's home away from home for me😃

souro talked about emotions on a national/foreign policy level and he is right....at that level, emotions just screw things up. on a personal/individual level, it's a diff story all together😊
