Yes there'll be and I feel Indian Govt. and Military will never support such an invasion. For the simple fact that if someday US turns against India, then they're a much more deadly neighbour than what we have at present.

but they will and do. lot of service personnel feel ham-strung and frustrated by the political requirement that we dont cross the border to take down terrorist camps. we can succeed militarily, but dont want to be painted as aggressors. would not mind if the US were to take a shot at mopping up.

as for the unlikely possibility of the US ever turning against us, in that case it would not matter much if they had bases in Pakistan or the 7th fleet kinds off-shore. might be a bit harder for the US, but then India is not exactly a land-locked country.😊

Their military is very strong too but still the fact is we are advancing once in a while to finish off some camps. There are somethings we don't account for on prime time. 😛 Sometimes what happens at Siachen and borders, stays there.

quite possible you know something here i dont, but what i do get is a feeling of wanting a decisive outcome, especially when things come to a head. i dont think anyone's underestimating the opponent either.

I get your point. But the fact still is we have unaccounted dead soldiers finishing off main leaders of these small camps which are mushrooming near the border. The sad part is only one crying for such soldiers are their family. Anyways that is another issue. But I guess India will never be the first to attack because never in history have we invaded a place to acted aggressive so that might stay as our policy.

I personally don't think India should object to the U.S. launching 'anti-terror' attacks in the Al-Qaeda and Taliban-ridden tribal areas of Western Pakistan, because the truth is that there is an enormous problem with terrorism being bred in those regions, and it seems as though not much other than military action can put an end to it. But I definetely think India should object if the U.S. were to launch a full-fledged, Iraq/Afghanistan-style attack on the entire country of Pakistan, because it would cause a lot of unrest in the whole of the subcontinent, and once they reached the North/Eastern parts of Pakistan, what would stop them from reaching the terrorists in Northern India?

Err, did I ask for suicide bombings? Or did I ask for killing of non-believers? I am asking for an apt and firm reply to asymmetrical warfare which India has been subjected to since decades.

Exactly..!! Maya very good points..👏👏 Any invasion in South East Asia will be pose a threat to India.. be it in Nepal Pakistan or Bengaldesh.. Refugees from the nation at attack will inevitably come to India and thus leading to further problems and risks for the Indian National security..

Believe.. 👏👏 Yes, Who is the US to barge into other countries..? They are definitelly not the world police..!

Why settle for inequality when we can achieve equality. Either all should see or all should be blind.😛

I wouldnt agree to that at the expense of the lives of innocent people.. whether its pakistani or an indian.. ! A small group makes the entire nation badnaam.. India and Pakistan both have those small groups of people.. I have soft-corner for Punjab and any attack or counter-attack between these two countries will pose an eminent threat to the lives of countless civilians..

PS. That quote i read that on someones bumber sticker this morning and was really impressed..😆..😃
