okie....it was like ages ago....i mean around 15 years ago. i was doing this diploma in french language. there was this dude there who was settled in canada...visiting India during summer and taking french classes there. he needed help with his french grammar. well, like a fool, i agreed to help him out. then, after the exams were over, he asked me out...i said no...next thing i know is that he landed at my door...with his mom-pop in toe and ALL their property papers etc and job credentials in canada etc to ask my parents my hand😕 my mom was like...pehley kyun nahi bataya hamein...and i am like...kuchh hota toh bataatee na...i don't even like him that way

needless to say, my dad had quite a hard time taaloing them w/o hurting their feelings. my mom made up a lie then and there ki arrey, iskee shadi toh tay ho chuki hai. they asked kahan hui...and she just made it up ki ek family friends hain unn key betey sey. they said oh!! and asked ki kahan settle hogi aap ki beti shadi key baad...mom said in the us...just like that you know...sirf unhey taalney key liye...and guess what...here I am..married to my dad's friend's son and settled in the us😆😆. sometimes, when i look back, it al freaks me out😆 i told my mom after i got married to never ever say/make any stuff about me again😆😆😆
