A real life story which happened in our neighbourhood when I was in school.

Wedding day arrives. Baarat comes, the groom and the best man arrive. Half the ceremonies are over and then comes the ritual of exchanging garlands and the main ceremony of wedding (south Indian style). The girl goes and garlands the best man 😆 leaving the groom gaping and his family shocked.

Then in true filmy style, she tells her dad that she loves the best man and will marry him.....

Not getting into the ethics of the girls actions or even judging her actions, just reciting this incident as a very funny one.

Very very interesting! I am sure the groom must have been like 🤔 😲 😡 🤢. Well, good for the girl and best man though!

I don't get one thing though. If the girl knew that she loved the best man dude, why did she wait till the wedding day? What a way to embarass everyone 😕.

Or was she just trying to be filmy and all?

The best man was the grooms best friend. I just dont understand how they could do it. Call me old fashioned, call me unromantic, but to throw away a friendship like this, to cause public humiliation to your best friend, in front of his family and friends, right on his wedding day was the worst thing a friend could do.

Wonder why the girl did it. Maybe trying to be filmy, or maybe a sudden realisation of what love is all about.... I really wonder...
