🤣 🤣 You rock Da!!!! And gaaon waalon!! Anshu bhaiyya has a 'topic' churning machine!!

I think we are not happy when someone preaches, cus its not something that we would wanna do, or enjoy doing .. doesnt go down well with our 'thinkin' and 'lifestyle' ahem! e.g. Dont eat chocolates a lot, exercise, dont go partying all nite, brush your teeth every nite before bed...blah blah.....the person listening to is already agitated to capacity 😛 So yh....WHY should anyone preach, they should not! 😛 (They practice it or not is immaterial at that point of time!)

AND...Im sorry Im goin off topic..but can anyone pl tell me if DM has a reference guide for all the abbreviations used while discussing for us newbiesz? 😕 I kinda figured out the IMOs and the IMHOs after some struggle but today I saw the sexiest one.....lbntl!?! 🤔 ahem.... iwtcwist(I was totally confused when I saw that!)

n I know...now is the time to run off cus someonez goin to whack me to glory! 😛

^^^I hear ya Sonia! I was so totally baffled by all the abbreviations here and there in the beginning and I was like 😲. Lol.. yeah we def need a reference guide!

About the topic, it is not always immoral. For example, my uncle is a doctor and is fairly obesed but he constantly tells his son to mend his habits. The son argues back that if you couldn't maintain a healthy lifestyle, why should I? But being a doctor and a parent, he explains to him the troubles of the extra fats and tells him to not to do the same mistakes as he did. This is not immoral, is it?

Same with my parents. My mom oftens tells me to do things that she never did and still doesn't. Of course, as Raj said, parents should set examples instead of preaching but that is not always possible, is it? Everyone has different circumstances to adhere to but obviously, parents would want the best for their children. What they couldn't get, they want their kids to achieve. So, that's not immoral either.

But then as they, people who stay in glass houses shouldn't throw stones at other. If you have had two wrecked marriages, you can not possibly open a relationship advice center. Like you know, Anurag Basu is in no position to preach people about relationships. 😆

But then, as people above me said that failure is the best teacher. It is also possible that they learnt a lot from their previous mistakes and are in a better position to preach. So, I don't think you can just generalize these situations and pass a verdict about whether it is right or wrong. A lot of things come into play!

I think there is a difference between preaching and advising. One should not preach what they don't practice. as far as advising is concerned, it could be based on the professional and/or life experiences. I think it's okay to advise someone not to do what you did and regretted later. I don't see anything wrong with that. Pravachans get on my nerves big time...specially when they are aimed to kill all the innocent fun one is having 😉 😆

lbntl, I agree with DB Doll.... 😆 do what i say not what i do 😆

It is not immoral to suggest someone on something. They might be doing that on the basis of experiences they had or the knowledge they aquire....which the suggested one may lack.... or is unaware of...

  1. Reg finances... most of the times failed people are best advisors in this aspect😆(becoz they know the worth of money)
  2. Reg health.....most of the times sick or unhealthy people are good at advising in health issues, because they know what it means not having good health.
  3. Reg education.... people(friends) with good nature who could'nt achieve their goals becoz of some mistakes ...become good edu-experts!!

However,it depends on the wisdom of the person who is taking the suggestion,if that person is not wise (he/she ) will mistake it as order and create mess!! Those type people should be left alone.....

Cheers,

Mythili

GD GMTA 😆.

Add to this. As a parent or human being we all make mistakes and mostly learn from those mistakes. It would be good to learn from other people's mistake when they are trying to advice you but there is a way of going about it. All u can do is guide that is it. People will only learn from their own mistakes. And everyone is allowed to make some mistakes as life learning lessons. Usually we can tell the difference when someone is advicing VS preaching IMHO 😳

Now all those mistakes that we made with our kids I am not repeating them with my Dog 😳 😉 😆 I have learn something from them 😛

Kids were experimenting stage for the better upbringing of the dog? 🤣

I think an overweight Doc has the right to suggest weight loss 😆 😆 😆 He might have a low metabolism. You never know the reason.

On a more serious note, I dont mind preaching. You're given two connected ears for a reason 😆 😉

3. Relationship experts preaching on how to ensure a good relationship, while thier own personal life is in a mess.

Debate : Professionals preaching / lecturing pupils even if they lack to follow thier own principles, IMMORAL?

Immoral!!!!????? kyon bhai... bolne main kya harz hai... It can be incorrect not immoral....😊.
